Joey L. Wildasin Slate Roofing

Review: I contracted Joey L. Wildasin Roofing LLC to replace a slate roof on my garage, porch and repair the slate and copper roofing material of my house. Mr. Wildasin provided me PA License number [redacted] and a Certificate of Liability Insurance indicating his carrier was [redacted] Insurance Company. After Mr. Wildasin indicated that the work was properly completed, issued a final payment to him amounting in over $40,000. Mr. Wildasin promised both verbally and in the terms of the contract that "All work performed by Joey L. Wildasin Slate Roofing Co. is warranted for lifetime including material and labor." Part of the work performed by Mr. Wildasin included replacement of roofing materials on the turret and replacement of 'crickets' and flashing near the chimney and turret. Recently, I noticed mold in the bedrooms directly below this area and traced the source of the water back to what appeared to be faulty workmanship completed by Joey L. Wildasin Roofing Co. I made several attempts to contact Mr. Wildasin, President, and whom had been my sole point of contact during all previous dealings and interactions. I left several voice mail messages and sent several emails to both email addresses used in prior correspondence when the work was contracted and completed. Joey L. Wildasin Slate Roofing Company has not responded to my calls and emails. I contacted Joey L. Wildasin Slate Roofing Company's General Liability carrier based on the information provided to me, only to find out that the insurance policy cancelled for non-payment of premium. I had my property inspected by another roofing contractor and was advised that there are several issues leading to the failure of the roof and water intrusion. The water intrusion has caused damage to the interior of my home including but not limited to mold and damage to walls.Desired Settlement: I would like for Joey L. Wildasin Roofing LLC complete repairs to the faulty work and to provide compensation for the resulting damages. As Joey L. Wildasin Roofing LLC has not provided a timely response to resolve this complaint, I may be forced to mitigate damages. Give such, I would like Joey L. Wildasin Roofing LLC to promptly compensate me for costs to repair faulty work and resulting damages. Additionally, I would like for Joey L. Wildasin Roofing LLC to provide me with contact and policy information for any currently active liability insurance carrier and of any carrier that had coverage at the time that the work on my property was contracted and completed.

Reguarding the complaint from [redacted], The job itself was a storm damage claim, I cant recall all the detail but I got him over 65,000 from the insurance. I only did the steeple and the garage. From the first day I went and looked at the job I was asked about the imatation slate a local contractor put on. There were things that were not done to Specifacation.He is claiming there is Leaking from window seal, I was no where close to a window. There was alot of extra work done by my company, because I really wanted to do a hand made copper steeple. I was absolutely in shock when I saw he wrote something about our company. What we did for the [redacted] was outstandinding work. (as you can see by the pictures)The reason for not having my liability insurance is because of a Tradgic losses in Florida. I was gone for 1 yr and 3 months.Personally I will not step on his property, I feel I was taken advantage of and will be talking to my lawyer [redacted], To see if there is any recourse I can take.Any and all work done there was 100% perfect, as I stated there was a local company that did the main house and shed, The Home owner told me several times he was going to try and sue them. I also was told that he called at least 30 times and letters wrote to the other roofing company.I actually fixed the chimney where it was leaking, this work was not done by our Company.Please see attached photos of work Performed.Thank youJoey Wildasin

I am rejecting this response because:There are sevearl points that Mr. Wildasin indicates in his response to my complaint that are either of error or that I reject as being acceptable. These points are both outlined and disputed as follows: 1.) Mr. Wildasin indicated in his response to my complaint in his own words "Personally I will not step foot on his property". Given such, Mr. Wildasin clearly has erroneously voided his verbal and written lifetime warranty of his work. 2.) Mr. Wildasin did not offer to resolve any of the isses addressed in the original complaint nor did he address these responses satiafactoraly. 3.) Mr. Widasin discussed issues relative to additional work he completed and work completed to my residence by a prior contractor whom completed the work while I was not the owner of the property in question. His discussion of this work was not only subjective, but also had no relevancy to the complaint at hand. 4.) Mr. Wildasin indicates in his response that the complaint indicates that there were problems with a window and that he did not work on this area of my property. This is not factual. Neither did the complaint indicate this nor did he work on any windows. 5.) Mr Wildasin took an unacceptable amount of time to responnd to this complaint. Several attempts were made to conact him via phone and email. There is no excuse for his failure to return these contact attempts over several months. 6.) Mr. Wildasin acted as as sole entity when responding to and handling matters on behalf of the company at hand. Given such, he is liable personally and professionally for the damages sustained and faulty workmanship. He has not disputed to date and has acted as an individual as opposed to an incorporation. He is both personally and soley liable for damages based on hiss interactions and representation of Wildasin Slate Roofing.

Review: Had slate roof repair done in 2009 with a 50 year warranty. I called for the first time in Oct. 2012 with an issue on the repaired area with no replay and called again in Jan. 2013 and got a text message that he would stop by....now 4 weeks late I sent a text again stating I was going to call someone else if I didnt hear from him. I didnt hear anything and I paid for a warranty that he wont honor or even come and look to check out. I would have been willing to work on an appointment if I would have received some kind of communication. I have made several calls and texts but, I feel at this point he has no intention of honoring his contract.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the contractor check out his work and honor his warranty see how the water on my slate roof is getting in.
