John Becker State Farm Agency Reviews (6)

I am rejecting this response because an application for life insurance was submitted 1/15/and was denied because a signature and birth certificate were required, which is understandable I personally with my small children went to John's office February 28th and met with Josh and provided him with a signature (on his deskpad), a copy of the birth certificate and completed ANOTHER life insurance application My Dad reached out to John's office on May 2nd in regards to the policy as the payments were not being deducted from my grandmothers compensation check Josh responded May 2nd @ 3:54pm via email and said "Its all set up sorry about the letter being sent to the wrong address [redacted] is still processing he has coverage but it maybe another month until her payments are adjusted." I have documentation of emails and faxes that clearly state the insurance policy is in place and should be effective 02/I am still wondering what happened to the application that we completed in February At the time of the applications in January and February we were not aware of my sons medical conditionWe were made aware of it at his month well check appointment in June 6, We did not know 100% sure until a CT scan was done June 6, and that is when we met with a surgeon to confirm surgery was needed I returned Johns calls when we returned home from the hospital and have left him messages on his cell phone in the last week and have not received a return call as of yet Thank you, [redacted]

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. The auto policy in question started 5-17-2017. Based on filings with the state of MN, State Farm auto policies are only for a fixed month term. There is no possible way to extend a term for and 1/months so that it would be
paid until December 31. We have mailed separate statements to the customer that the payment was due, and finally that the policy has cancelled for non payment. The responsibility for payment is with the customer. Kim, my team member, did find the initial payment from May, but no other payments have been recordedKim asked for correct phone information, and Shilpa would not provide that information and hung up on Kim.We can get coverage started again if the customer wants to pay the new premium. We stand ready to assist in getting coverage for her with her payment. We can only accept payment until December 23, after that she would have to requalify and reapply at a likely higher premiumThere is no coverage in force on the Audi right now and the car should not be driven. The Buick is past due as well. The renewal date on that was 12-5-17.Thank you,John Becker

Thank you for the opportunity to address this matter*** competed a life application for her son *** on Tuesday July 25th. Her son has a medical condition that makes him ineligible for life insurance through State Farm Insurance at this time. It is possible that he may
qualify for coverage in the future, but due to the condition he was born with, he does not qualify. As ***'s family is very important to me, and I wanted to see if there was any possibility that the policy could be issued, I did an agents appeal and spoke with State Farm Life underwriting supervisor Debbie *** . Debbie explained to me that this condition is something that would be noticed at birth, and that *** would not have been approved for life insurance at any time due to this condition. I have called *** to discuss this with her, but have not heard back from her as of the time I write this. I regret that State Farm will not issue coverage for ***, but there is nothing more I can do to get a policy issued. The incomplete application earlier did not have any impact on the decision as the condition is the reason for the declination. Very Respectfully,John Becker

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. After researching the details with our underwriting department, I have learned that *** started his policy by himself online and gave himself many discounts that require documentation within days. Since he did
not give us the information we needed for th "Steer Clear" discount and the "Good Student discount" those prices were then higher. We have worked very diligently to help ***, and were in the process of getting discounts reinstated for him, when he chose to switch to another State Farm office We have no access to helping him any further. The mention of an appointment with my team member Josh is misleading. Josh had to go to the hospital as his wife gave birth about minutes before the meeting, but another agent was there to meet with ***.It wasn't as if he showed up for an appointment and no one was there to help him.Thank you for your consideration, in my years in business, this is the first situation I remember having a complaint with Revdex.com. We work hard to treat our clients with respect, and this situation was a challenge for all parties involved

I am rejecting this response because an application for life insurance was submitted 1/15/17 and was denied because a signature and birth certificate were required, which is understandable.  I personally with my 2 small children went to John's office February 28th 2017 and met with Josh and provided him with a signature (on his deskpad), a copy of the birth certificate and completed ANOTHER life insurance application.  My Dad reached out to John's office on May 2nd in regards to the policy as the payments were not being deducted from my grandmothers compensation check.  Josh responded May 2nd @ 3:54pm via email and said "Its all set up sorry about the letter being sent to the wrong address.  [redacted] is still processing he has coverage but it maybe another month until her payments are adjusted."  I have documentation of emails and faxes that clearly state the insurance policy is in place and should be effective 02/2017. I am still wondering what happened to the application that we completed in February.  At the time of the applications in January and February we were not aware of my sons medical condition. We were made aware of it at his 6 month well check appointment in June 6, 2017.  We did not know 100% sure until a CT scan was done June 6, 2017 and that is when we met with a surgeon to confirm surgery was needed.   I returned Johns calls when we returned home from the hospital and have left him 2 messages on his cell phone in the last week and have not received a return call as of yet.   Thank you, [redacted]

Hello,   I regret this situation, and really wish there was some way to get coverage in force for [redacted]'s son.  I have worked hard to see if there is any way we could obtain coverage, but found out that is not possible.  There is nothing further I can do regarding this.  I am forwarding information from Annette [redacted],  Supervisor for State Farm and would suggest any further communication be with her.Thank you for the opportunity to respond.John Becker
 When
I spoke with [redacted], she indicated that your office mishandled this
application and she requested exception handling due to this mishandling.  I did contact our General Underwriting
department and reviewed the medical impairment and handling of the new
application.  It was determined that
based on the congenital impairment, there was no mishandling by
underwriting.   It was recommended at
that time that I contact our Agency complaint department to review concerns for
the handling of this applicant.  Based on
the notification sent to the insured in February and no action on her part,
there was no mishandling by your office on this request.  I have updated our notes with this
information from both General Underwriting and our Agency complaint
department.  At this time, there will be
no further processing on this request.
 Please
contact me if you have additional information and any further questions.
