Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/02/08) */
My name is [redacted] I'm the office manager for [redacted] sheetmetal . On the date of 12/27/15 we were called out to [redacted] house because the furnace wasn't working. [redacted] our service tech went to their house and the unit was...

working great so [redacted] went ahead and cleaned out some parts that could cause the furnace to not work properly. When the service tech left the house it was working and heating to full capability so we charge the customer for a service call fee of $75.00 per hour. On 1/26/16 I received a call from [redacted]'s boyfriend wanting us to come back out and work on the unit again and I told the gentleman we could come back out untill they paid us in full they both said they wouldn't pay it at all and started to curse me out and call me a lot of bad names. I told him I wouldn't be talked to like that then [redacted] took the phone and treated me the same way so I told them if they wouldn't pay the first service call I couldn't come back out to service the unit. Shane looked over everything when he was there and found nothing wrong, the furnace worked for a month before they called us back to come fix it and I told them we would be more then happy to come back out if they pay there bill. Then they went off on me and made threats to me and I told them if they don't pay the bill I can void all warranties until the bill is paid. Our company policy is that once we show up to the customers house its a service call fee that's why Shane looked over everything While he was there to make sure the furnace works. Alsothis unit was installed in 2012 and only carries a 1 year labor warrenty Thankyou
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2016/02/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
In reply to the comments from [redacted] the mentioned boyfriend is the Co-Owner of said property. There were never any threats or calling of names from either Gary or myself. The threat came from [redacted] to void a warranty. Anyways the furnace was not and is still not working properly as in the original contact that was made to [redacted] to have them come look at the furnance. As mentioned in the original complaint and to [redacted] it kicks on intermittently. When the service tech came to our home he came in with nothing more than his cell phone. So I don't see how he could possibly find what was wrong. And it was not a month later when we made contact with them again about the matter. It does exactly the same thing that it did a little less than a year ago and they had to replace a switch, we told them time after time what it was but it has fell on deaf ears and they want to charge us twice for something that should have been corrected the first time. On top of that they are unwilling to tell us what the part was they replaced the first time, which was under warranty at that time, that in itself is very childish.
Final Business Response /* (1000, 17, 2016/02/23) */
We tried our best to provide service. If you would like us to come back please pay the $75.00 service call. We can void the warranty if the bill is not paid in full, in good faith we don't want to go that far. If you need to set up a payment plan we would be more than happy to work with you. The next service call you need will be a charge of $75.300 and will be due at the time of completion.
Thanks,
Management
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 19, 2016/03/03) */

We don't feel that we have been treated fairly by The Fireplace and more Store at all. And we have Not after several times of asking them what the original part they replaced over a year ago they have refused to give us that information as well. That is the same part that we feel we are having the same issue this time with, and our complaints have fell on deaf ears. We have not been given any warranty papers from said company. If the manufacturer carries the warranty then fireplace and more can't void it.
