Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted]

I took my Plymouth Neon(2000) to Mr. [redacted] repair shop to fix the front end of my car. He (Mr. [redacted]) held my car for nearly two years with the promise he was going to fix the car. I paid him 1500 dollars in cash in an agreement that the car would be fix/finished in 2 to 3 weeks. I call almost every day to c how far he had got on the car. Later on in the year (2014) he said to me over the phone that he couldn't get the car started and my car is now at a mechanic shop. Mr. [redacted] said that the mechanic was his friend and he (the mechanic) can get my car running, and then he (Mr. [redacted])could start/finish the body repairs. I said okay because I believed in Mr. [redacted], and even though months have passed * was patient but I knew something was seriously wrong. 2015 came along and Mr. [redacted] said another mechanic has my car because the first mechanic couldn't get it running. I called this mechanic and ask the mechanic the problem. He said he don't know but was trying to find out and that the other mechanic made such a mess he didn't where to start. Eventually the car went back to Mr. [redacted] not even running, yet I still had patients and told Mr. [redacted] just fix the body and I will get it fix somehow. I ask me to come and get and when I did the body wasn't fix. Now I'm out of a car and out of my 1500 dollars.Desired SettlementI want a refund because the work was not satisfactory and did not fit the work of a body repair shop and he did not attempt to repair or do reasonable work on my car.Business Response [redacted]Document Attached[redacted]Mr. [redacted] brought me his NEON in 2014 and wanted me to fix the front end which had been wrecked. I had to find the parts and I found used parts that would cost a total of $500. The used parts were everything he needed for the car except the headlight. I told him the total to fix the car would be $1500. One year later, he brought the $1500 for the parts/labor, but he waited so long to pay (ONE YEAR), that the price for the parts had increased from what I had originally quoted:Paint= $50Hood= $10Fender = $60cover - $120impact absorber = $501 gallon antifreeze = $10Used support radiator fuse box impact bar = $200When I was ready to fix the car (after he brought the money), it would not start. After trying multiple times and getting two mechanics to diagnose it, one diagnosed it was the neutral switch and the other said it was in theft mode, it evidently went into theft mode when the car was wrecked and it must be taken to the dealer to deactivate the theft mode. I told Mr. [redacted] the situation and he decided he wanted me to give him $400 of the $1500 back so he could get the car running. I told him if I could find the parts by July 4, 2015 I could do the work. I gave him all the found parts listed above, and $700 cash money, and I even paid for the diagnostics from the two mechanics out of my own pocket (receipt attached), so I do not owe Mr. [redacted] any money. After doing the math, he actually owes ME money. However, I am not asking any money, just that he does not try to take advantage of others the way he has done my business. Thank you.
