Review: I had gotten a moving binding agreement from this company.I was given a price and told that the job should take 10 hours. They arrived at my home late (about 1 hour due to "traffic")They said that they did not have listed all items that they had to move even though their representative was shown ALL of these items They did state that there would be an extra charge for this.. They did take all of the items. They left my home in staten island at about 10:30am and arrived in New Haven, ct at about 4:00pm. Load and unload took about 1 hour each. I was charged an additional $375 because of "traffic"delays that they said increased the time. I did not choose the route or drive the truck. They did call and spoke to my husband who DID NOT enter into the agreement with them.I feel that the whole move was within the 10 hours and should not have been charged extra. I also feel that from the beginning they had planned to charge more. By the way, GPS says that the trip shound have taken between 2 and 3 hours not 5 1/2 hours

Just to start, at no time during the move did the customer argue or complain about the extra charges due to the delay because of traffic. The binding estimate clearly states that any delays, not the falult of the mover are the resposibility of the shipper. As soon as there was notice from my driver about traffic conditions I immediately called the customer and spoke to [redacted]. He said the extra charge seems reasonable and that it would not be a problem. That morning there was a death in an accident on the geroge washington bridge which backed up traffic for hrs. We sent the truck a different route however the effect of the accident effected traffic all over. Also there was another accident on 495, the way we routed them to cause further havoc. The Shipper rightly states the trip should take 2-3 hrs. With a truck I would say closer to 3. It took us 5&1/2. 2&1/2 more than it should have. I could have billed her for that extra 2&1/2 hrs at an overtime rate of 210.00 per hr. which would have been 525.00 dollars. Instead I charged at the straight time rate just to cover my extra cost. Don't know how I could have been any nicer. If you need any other information from me please advise. Sinceerely [redacted]

at NO TIME was the person responsible for the ship consulted. [redacted] did NOT have any authority to make a decision.His name was not on any piece of paper.If I had been consulted they would have gotten a different answer. Yes, I understand that the traffic was bad that day, but they choose the route. How do I know that their statement of traffic conditions is true. For all that I know they may have been pulled in some where waiting.

Sorry [redacted], I was away. I have already responded twice. [redacted]s last response accused my son and I in a conspiracy. He's an engineering major at college who works part time in the summer. I do not appreciate the innuendo. At no time during or after the move did [redacted] contact me to straighten this out. Instead she went straight to you try to get something shes does not deserve.
