residence. JP Roofing Inc wanted to be clear of the proper action that was needed to be taken when the wind damage occurred. As the complaint stated damage occurred on 11/24/14 and at this time action by others were taken to prevent water entry.  JP Roofing received a call a week or so after 11/24/14 and responded immediately to investigate roof damage. At the time of investigation it was in my opinion, that the blow off was caused by faulty shingles. The bonding of the asphalt strip to the underneath shingle looked to be failing. [redacted] in this time frame has had similar problems on numerous installations and has a class action law suit against them for this failure. At this time I had a conversation with [redacted] explaining my opinion of the roof failure and advised of the proper action that needed to be taken and also in conversation with her son by telephone explaining the owners responsibility to file a claim with the manufacturer [redacted]. Please review the attached documents for the [redacted] installation and pay close attention to page 7 under Notification Of Claims. It would be impossible the a contractor to police all work installed through the course of years, this is reason for the owners responsibility.In closing JP Roofing was never aware of a new roof repair or that [redacted] was never notified. Thank You,Joseph [redacted]  /  JP Roofing Inc  /  ###-###-####

Review: JP Roofing Company of New Kensington PA does not honor the 15 year roof warranty that exist for a commercial property located at the above city. Roof has been leaking with every rain fall. Repeated phone calls and emails have been ignored. All the trees have been cut back and gutters have been cleaned, but store is still reporting leaks into the business floor.Desired Settlement: Would like for JP Roofing company to check out the problem, fix it according to the existing roof warranty and report to the owner.

Review: The roof of my elderly mother's home ([redacted]) was installed in 2009 by named roof in this complaint. On 11/24/14 wind damaged the roof, an emergency tarp was placed and [redacted] Insurance company paid for the part of the roof where the shingles blew off only. A certified Insurance Restoration Consultant concluded that there was improper installation per the manufacturer's instruction (even though installation instructions were clearly provided on each bundle of shingles). The insufficient fastening has made all the shingles susceptible to moderate strong wind events. In addition, the shingle manufacturer, [redacted] has a warranty that only the installer can file, but now, we find with the incorrect installation, the warranty would probably be voided anyway.Desired Settlement: The roofer came over immediately to survey the damage after the incident, said he would be and then went silent. told my elderly mother he would be back, he never came back. We have now paid another $4,000 to replace half the roof and the other half will probably blow away. We contacted by phone, and letter, and the roofer has vanished. Please note the City of [redacted] Municipal Building's roof was damaged the same day, and the roof was put on at approximately the same time, with the same shingles. I have been in contact with [redacted] the city Administrator and she has had no response, and has turned this matter over to her lawyer.
