Not repaired as agreed upon.The job was to include replacing the rotted plywood, shingles, flashing, vent boots, drip edge, and install a ridge vent. After hearing complaints from my neighbors that used this contractor, I inspected my roof. I found that the rotted plywood was not replaced, the ridge vent was not cut in, they painted the flashing and boots. The drip edge was only partially installed and poorly installed. Through many text messages he promised to fix these issues, now he does not respond.Desired SettlementI would like the contractor to repair my roof properly./////

Contractor was paid in full for services nearly 4 months ago and has still not delivered the services agreed upon. The contractor was hired to provide an entire 30-year roof replacement due to storm damage. I paid the contractor the $1,000.00 insurance deductible via credit card on 10-20-14. Once I received the insurance check, I paid the remaining total of $4,252.00 to the contractor on 11-3-14 by handing him the endorsed check. The check was cashed by the contractor on the same day. Since then, I have checked in with him a minimum of 1x/week to get a status of the work. Materials have not been purchased and work has not been started. Excuses have been weather, injured roofer, unavailable subcontractors to replace injured roofer, etc. I have rarely been able to get the contractor on the phone. When I call, I usually get a text message reply saying that he will call me later, yet he will not do so. At best, I would get another text message with an excuse. We spoke on 1-20-15 and he agreed to give a refund if the roof wasn't done in 2 weeks, but when I said I was ready for a refund in a text message, the subject was avoided and I was then made more promises that were never delivered. On 2-16-15 we agreed over the phone that if the roof was not replaced within 10 days regardless of any weather or other issues that may come up, we would meet for a full refund. I sent a confirmation text message and asked that the contractor reply, agreeing to the terms. He was reluctant to do so until I warned to take further action. He replied with, "Agreed." Today is 2-26-15. I called the contractor yesterday and today and left voicemails asking that he call me. He is unreachable. My most recent call asked that he return my call by 12:00pm. I still haven't heard from him.Desired SettlementWhile I would rather have the roof replaced in a timely manner, it seems that this service cannot be provided. Therefore, I need a full refund so I may pay another contractor to perform the work. Unfortunately, the insurance company has already paid all that they have agreed to and another contractor gave me another proposal for $6,454.00. I cannot afford to pay the additional $1,202.00.I am willing to gather some proposals from additional contractors, but if I cannot find someone to do the job for the $5252.00 agreed upon with [redacted] I will want a full refund of $5252.00 along with whatever the difference may be between that price and the price provided by the preferred contractor.

This business overpromised and underdelivered. I was supposed to receive 50 year warranty and solar tube caps. I question the quality of the roof. I had roof installed by a [redacted] of this company Carolina Builders LLC back in February 2016. Paid half up front first. Also had gutters taken down. I ended up having to do more work myself than anticipated but for 6 months I had texted back and forth with this dude. Back and forth, back and forth, blah blah blah by text. Wouldn't talk to me. I got the wrong size, gotta reorder. Warranty is on its way. Found out that[redacted] said he stopped at Checkout for my warranty and they are supposed to have the representative request he fulfill his obligations. So basically not getting a lifetime warranty and the solar tube caps (3). Just walked away. Desired SettlementFinish the job. Purchase and send me the warranty and replace 3 solar tube caps.
