J's Automotive - Complete Car Care Reviews (4)

I had my car towed to them in July for a head job to be done and it is not October and the job is still not complete I need to be compensated.Around the last week in July I went to J's automotive and spoke with Kathy about my son's car having a blown head gasket. She told me they could do it and it would cost 450. So that Friday we had the car towed there paid the required amount to get them started. Aug 1 I was called and told they need an additional 100 to give to the people at the head shop That was on a Sat I told her if I could not get there by closing I would be there Monday. Monday morning I was texted saying they had to put the car back together because it was taking up space and not making them money. She told me they was going to put the engine back in if we didn't come with the extra money. My son got it to them at lunch time Aug 3. We were told then that the redoing of the engine took about 2 hours for the to fix it and deliver it back to them from the engine shop. I allowed 2 weeks to pass ** hear from them during this time they contacted my son and said it would be ready Aug 17 not true. On August 28 I texted her and asked for the status of the car no respond. Several times during the month of Sept she texted my son and told him the car would be ready by the weekend. On Sept 7 I went to the office she was not there but I spoke with John and he said she would call me when she got in. That was not true. I tried calling her but her voice mail was full so I couldn't leave a message. On that Saturday the 11th I went again she was not tthere again but he told me the car would be ready tthat weekend that wasn't true. On the 25th of September I called her voice mail it was still full but she texted and said she was in a meeting and would call me right back. She never returned that call. They in turn inform my son the car would be ready. We waited but no car nor a call. On Oct 12 I called Kathy and texted her stating how unprofessional this has been and I think I need to be compensated for their actions. She finally calls me back then. She goes on to say how she has had the flu for the past three days and how she was short handed. She stated that the employee that broken the car down was not available for 3months and they wanted him to complete the job he started. My reply to that was it was unprofessional for her to make that decision without communicating that to us. I was not allowed to decide if I wanted to wait that long. That just goes to show that all the promises they made were all lies. She said the employee would be free sometime this month. I still don't have my son's car nor a time when the job will be complete. She said the mechanic John who is there now could not complete the job alone. So now it's been a 3 month wait for a week or 2 job. I will not be going back there ever again when I get my car back. I don't if the job is going to be done soon or even right. It is now October 18 and I haven't heard anything since October 12th.Desired SettlementI want them to complete the job in a timely manner and disregard the balance owed for a job that has taken far to long to complete an apology for the misleading information about when the car would be ready.

The manager [redacted] was very unprofessional. My vehicle was damaged and he refused to look at the vehicle after or fix it. On Thursday, [redacted] 26, [redacted] I entered J's Automotive Complete Car Care because I was recommended there from auto zone by an employee. I wanted my car lifted and my oil leak fixed. [redacted] went and got her husband [redacted] They drove my car around and told me it was my rear seal leaking. I told [redacted] I already purchased the oil gasket and I would go back and get the rear seal and front seal. [redacted] said $550.00 for my car to be lifted in the back and the seals to be put on.The mechanic lifted my car that day and I payed $50.00 and I was told to bring my car in Saturday morning on [redacted] 28 for the oil leak,I didn't bring it in until 2:00 p.m because I woke up late. [redacted] said for me to bring it Monday morning because it was to late. I purchased the rear main seal, front seal, and already had the oil pan gasket. [redacted] 30, [redacted] Monday morning I dropped my car off at 9:20 am.I paid $250.00 they wanted to start on the oil leak that left $250.00 balance for my oil leak, [redacted] took all three seals and told me the car would be ready late Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Tuesday I called [redacted] told me that they got behind and it would not be ready I stopped by to see the progress, the young mechanic told me that they were not finished it would be ready Wednesday on April 1, [redacted]. He also handed me the front seal and told me I didn't need it. I told them but I asked you to put it on because I wanted it on. He proceeded to show me the other two seals and told me I should be all good Wednesday. Wednesday I called he told me my car would be ready at 5:00p.m. I arrived at 4:45 the young mechanic told me he hurt his hand so he had to wait until someone helped him push my transmission back up. I sat for almost 3 hours until I had to go to work. My car was still not ready. A co-worker and I watched as they rushed on my car. I stepped in and asked them not to do a rush job on my car. I would just get a ride to work and I will come get it the next day. At 8:30p.m. on my way to work I get a call my car was ready. I explained it was too late for me to turn around I would be there first thing in the morning.I arrived at the shop at Thursday, April 2,[redacted] at 8:30. [redacted] told me they had to now wait on the mechanic to test drive it. I sat and talked to his wife Kathy [redacted]. Almost another 3 hours pass [redacted] finally my car came around. I paid the remaining $250.00 balance. On my way to pick my daughter up I noticed my steering wheel was bent. Took it back showed to the mechanic and john [redacted].He proceeded to tell me they did not do it. I told him I have had my car for 8 years and I know I did not bring it in like that. To keep down an argument I left. Friday I went to work that night and Saturday the car stayed parked. Sunday afternoon went to start it. It made a weird noise. I took the key out but the car wouldn't cut off. It blew my 40A fuse, my ignition switch and killed my battery. Went to auto zone. The battery was not chargeable. Had to purchase 40A fuse, battery, and ignition switch. Got the items put on the fuse blew again. I purchased 4 fuses and all blew. Monday called [redacted] Monday morning April 6, [redacted]. He proceeded to tell me that it couldn't be anything they did. He never offered for me to bring back just said that it was not their fault. I told him if he wouldn't look at it I will get it towed to someone who will work on it. [redacted] told me to go ahead and we will go from there. Got it towed Tuesday to [redacted] Rd, [redacted] XXXXX. They called me at 4:45 that evening and said J's Automotive had my wires to my starter routed on the engine block. And the steering wheel came from someone putting pressure on that side. They charged me $90.00 for the labor and the fuses they blew. April 8, [redacted] arrived at J's automotive for [redacted] and the mechanic to tell me it was not their fault even with my proof. Next day his wife only gave me $90.00.Desired SettlementThey were very unprofessional. I want my steering wheel fixed from them putting pressure to get in out of my Mustang and reimbursement for my battery, ignition switch, towing, and fuses. I only got reimbursement for the other shop fee. my car would never had been towed had they did the job correct. neither owner even mentioned towing.

We made a final attempt today to get this business to complete the agreed upon job corrected. We hired J's Automotive Complete Car Care to purchase and install an engine for a 1993 [redacted] in August 2014. Mr. [redacted] had informed us that the truck needed an engine. On September 14, 2014, [redacted] called my home several times to inform me that the job was finished and she needed her money in cash. After several disturbing calls from Mrs. [redacted] demanding cash, I took $640.00 cash to [redacted] that included $40 for tires installed on the vehicle. When my husband went to retrieve the vehicle, he noticed several things wrong with the engine installation. Mr. [redacted] agreed to keep the automobile and make adjustments, requiring us to purchase several unneeded parts. Today, our truck is not fixed. We've asked the shop to own up to their promise of "if its not right, we will correct it, all our work is guaranteed." We have spent well over $2500 to get our truck repaired and now they are refusing to make the necessary repairs. Mr.[redacted] used guess work to try and correct the problems causing us to spend unnecessary money. This shop should not accept jobs that they are not qualified to perform. Presently, they are insisting that we pay to have the engine uninstalled to make the repairs. We need J's Automotive Complete Car Care to honor their guaranteed work promise and make this transaction good. All we are asking for is that our vehicle be completed as promised.Product_Or_Service: engine for 1993 [redacted]Account_Number: Receipt #XXXXXXDesired SettlementWe would like J's Automotive Complete Car Care to pay for labor to have another engine installed or pay for labor to have the valve job completed on the present engine at a shop of our choice. We would prefer another shop because Mr. [redacted] does not have the proper equipment to adequately test the engine to make sure it is good. The merchant that sold Mrs. [redacted] the engine is willing to replace the present engine.

This place damages vehicles and do not take ownership. The manager is very unprofessional. They damaged my vehicle after a repair that they were supposed to do. Then they do not take responsibility for any damages that my occur after they have messed up your car. Please do not make the same mistake I made by trusting your vehicle with these people. They do a rush job that can cost you twice as much as you would pay them. I now have to repair damages that had nothing to do with the initial job. FIND A Revdex.com ACCREDITED PLACE TO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE. THIS IS NOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!! ","neg-1
