Unfortunately there was a mix up with the reservation and our company didn't have the space to accommodate the move.We refunded the deposit and tried to assist the customer with finding another solution.

 I'm sorry but I was available at all hours of the day to accept shipment and they did not arrive until around 2:00pm. More importantly, what about the hoards of trash thrown in my neighbors yard? The cursing match in my bedroom between the movers and the damage to my floors and stairs because they did not put any paper or padding down and 2 guys was not enough to move all my furniture. In addition, the contract was not fulfilled even tho final payment was demanded before they would deliver the goods.

Your driver was so much in a hurry as he had another delivery after ours, that he hammered our antique rolling desk to table with nails where it should not be and ruined it completely as a part of assembling it. He could not assemble our lshaped computer table as he could not find some part and he rendered it useless.He was in a hurry to go for his next delivery, he did not even give us a chance to check.  Only the obvious ones the like table which could not be fixed , like the table, the 3 bookshelves which were beyond any repair and the damage to the sofa and the coffee table he noted. After he left, I called him to tell him that the bike was missing and again after a day or so when I was searching for the suitcase with all the wedding clothes, I noticed that too was missing. On contacting Key Moving, the driver and the person who replied to our email did say we file a claim. Well here is the cost of all the things that were lost  Wedding Clothes ( 10 Wedding Silk Kanjeevaram Sarees  - $4,495.00, 12 Silk Sarees received as gifts - $1,498, 2 Silk wedding Kurtas with matching pants and shoes $899.00, Silk Blouse and matching petticoats -$749.00), Raleigh Cycle - $800, 3 Bookshelves that was damaged beyond repair and had to be thrown - $150.00, Antique Rolling Desk top table - $ No idea of the cost, Leather Sofa Damaged - $ No idea of the repair cost, Coffee Table  Damaged- $No idea of the repair cost, 2 Floor lamps damaged beyond repair - $ 150.00, crockery broken - $50.00 So I need to know if the insurance that you have will pay for all the loss above that I have incurred?? I cannot be getting a pittance as a claim amount after a huge loss like this, not to speak of the sentimental and emotional value.I need this cost to be reimbursed whichever way.Thanks Regards [redacted]Your Answer Here]

the company has not made any attempts to reimburse us for the property stolen. Although the [redacted] states that he has never had an issue with theft, according to [redacted] there are a number of reviews that advise him of theft related incidents during moves. Likewise, the [redacted] has also reviewed a number of companies on [redacted] so he is aware of the feedback or should be aware of the feedback that is left regarding his company.Does the business [redacted] hire people who have a criminal history? Are background checks conducted and if so and he is aware of their criminal past, what measures has he taken to prevent theft?He is correct that we have used his company 3 times and the first two times were without incident, therefore we feel that as repeat and loyal customers, the [redacted] should take the necessary steps to protect customers from theft as well as take the necessary steps to resolve and reimburse customers for these incidents should he fail to put the necessary safe guards in place to prevent them in the first place.

Please see our response below:- We have not been able to located any of the missing items.- We did check with the driver and with our lost and found section without any luck.- Looking over the delivery documents from 8/**/16 there are no missing items indicated on the inventory sheet but only notes of damages to bookshelf, office desk and sofa.- We instructed our customer to contact our claims dept. at ###-###-#### and file a claim or the damages. - As of today we have not received any follow-up questions, document requests or settlement numbers from our claims dept. I am not sure if the customer contacted or started the claims process.- The customer has 9 months from the delivery date (8/**/16) to file a claim.- Even though we have not been able to find any “missing” items we are always on the lookout in case any items is un-claimed or is found. I have met [redacted] and her husband twice prior to moving. Some of the points of this complaint were clearly discussed and pointed out prior to moving (i.e. payment method and payment timing).
The main issue in my opinion is the attitude of...

the delivery driver towards [redacted].
I have called [redacted] after the delivery and discussed with her our process moving forward in compensating her for the damages. I personally apologized to her about the delivery issues.

1. I have not yet got the missing suitcase, bike and ladder2. My goods cost much more then what the claims is ready to give me that is .60 cents/pound which comes to around $6.00 for a Raleigh bike, $53 for my Wedding clothes which cost more then $8000 etc. and the damages of some goods which cannot be salvaged.I request the movers to check if they have given my suitcase to some other customer by mistake and search the containers or storage location in NY or CA and try to find the missing stuff as soon as possible.I agree the business apologized, but if an apology can return my wedding clothes then I can accept the apology. We are sorry for the delivery experience of the customer. It was not our intention to have only the driver there.We can't refund the customer the entire balance of the delivery (as he requested) as the breakdown of the charges is not simply pick up and delivery but also transportation, fuel, tolls,...

Review: The movers charged me $115/hr and took 6 hrs which included a two hour lunch. They first charged me $805, incorrectly charging me for 8 hours. We agreed to deduct the lunch hours but they still charged me $690. For the sake of my things I paid. I used Key Moving before. My last move cost $500 and I had significantly more items to move. No formal quote was provided. The quote was provide via email for $460 and I assumed I was receiving an equivalent fee.Desired Settlement: To solve the issue, I would like to have the 2 hour lunch deducted from the 6 hours total time charged and refunded.

Agreed to the hourly rate but I will not pay for the 2 hr lunch break. Total time taken was from 930 am to 330 pm. That's 6 hrs less the 2 hr break = $460. Also, the movers initially tried to overcharge me $805 for 8 hrs. This was written on the invoice. That was misleading. I'm not happy with what occurred.

Review: I received a binding estimate for moving services with Key Moving & Storage. The estimated was based on a cubic footage estimate after I supplied a completed inventory list of items included in the move. I inflated the number of items 30% to ensure that the estimate was accurate. The [redacted] also advised me that the cubic footage would be clearly marked inside the moving truck. At the time of the move, I learned that the cubic footage was not clearly marked inside the truck. The mover also advised me that he was uncertain that the cubic footage quoted on the binding estimate would be sufficient for the move. I advised the mover to prioritize moving the larger items into the moving truck and to advise me as they approach the cubic footage quoted in the estimate and I would hire a different moving company to handle the remaining items. The mover agreed to my request; however, the mover proceeded to load smaller items in the truck which resulted in lack of space for the bulky items. I repeatedly reiterated my request to the movers to place the larger items in the truck, the mover assured me there was sufficient space in the truck. The mover subsequently informed me that I exceeded the cubic footage estimate and would exceed my binding estimate, although I initially requested to be advised prior to reaching the cubic footage capacity. As a result, I asked the mover to remove some of the boxes from the truck to make room to move the larger items (per my initial and repeated requests) without exceeding the estimated cubic footage in the binding estimate. The mover proceeded to ask for me to "take care" of his moving team and "make him a deal", so he would move all of my items. I inquired what he meant and he continued to be evasive. I asked for a quoted price and he reiterated that I needed to "take care" of his "guys" and that I should "make him a deal". Ultimately, I paid cash over the quoted amount to "take care" of "his guys" after the mover's continuous harrassment. I was left with additional charges to move the smaller items and trashing several other items as a result of what turned to be a "grossly inaccurate" cubic footage estimate, despite my best efforts to protect myself.

I made a split payment for the move (cash and credit) and the mover double-charged my fiance's credit card. I emailed the Key Moving & Storage [redacted] asking a return call to discuss services provided and was never contacted. Hello,

We had no intentions of over charging the customer.

We were going by the list of items provided to the salesperson.

As for the double charge on the credit card it was an honest mistake which was corrected within 30 minutes once we realized the card was double charged.

As a supervisor I didn't hear anything from the customer nor did the salesperson.

Had I known about it I would have had a discussion with her about the issues she presented.

We would like to offer the customer $200.00 as a refund.
