Review: We purchased two GE circline flourescent light bulb and was given a store exchange rather than a refund. They do have a NO REFUND POLICY, however, their sign was extremely small and hard to see as if consumers are intentionally deflected by it. They need to enforce a high visibility sign. I am quite dissappointed over the NO REFUND policy as it should be subjected to the TYPE of item in return as in our case we have no use for the bulbs.Desired Settlement: I was given a store credit of $15 (the item in the store's possession) and would like a full refund as I do not intend to purchase anything from their store here on, besides, the store is extremely overpriced markups.

Response:

The customer purchased two GE circline fluorescence light bulbs and came back a few days later asking for a refund. However, we have a "No refund, exchange within 7 days, unopened with receipt" policy. We posted this policy in front of our register on our grand opening day and it has been there ever since.

The customer claims that our NO REFUND POLICY sign was "extremely small and hard to see." However, our store policy is also clearly printed on our receipt which reads,

"NO REFUND

EXCHANGE WITHIN 7 DAYS

UNOPENED WITH RECEIPT"

The customer was given a courtesy of receiving a store credit of $15.00 that can be used to exchange for any product that is sold in the store within 30 days. The customer wants the full refund because she does not intend to purchase anything from the store due to the "extremely overpriced markups."

The City of New York Department of Consumer Affairs come to our store quarterly to check for any violations. It is also acknowledge by them that we have the store return policy posted and all items priced accordingly.

We do not intend to return to the store and purchase any of their product

regardless of the store credit, which in turn a $15.00 dollars loss on our end.
