I did my taxes at liberty tax and never had a problem but this time I went to do my taxes February 28,2019 and it is July 26,2019
I did my taxes in 2/28/19 and its July 26,2019 and I have still not gotten my federal or state checks and my tax perparer told me they will send my checks to my house.And so I went in too liberty tax to see what is going on and the lady that works there told me that they had my check there but they never let me know it was there so she said well since you never came we moved it to a different store she said I will go get it for you and call you to come get.And she still did not call me so I went in there the next week and I asked her if she had my tax return and she said no one call you about and I said no call I got no call during the week and she tell me well we have to talk to corporate to make sure it hasnt got spent.But to me that did not make any sense cause she said my checks were there at liberty tax so why would they be spent.So she said let me get your number and get your check for the other store and has still not call me about my tax reture And plus my tax preparer did not give me none of my paper work and did not put my right phone number in the computer.I went there again to try to see what was going on and why has she still not gotten my checks and she closed liberty tax before it was even time for them to close to me they are being very suspicious and I dont like the fact it seem like she is makeing excuses and are lieing to me about were my taxes are I dont know if one of them people that worked there took it or they have lost it. I have even left a voicemail with my name and number and they keep avoiding it.

The consumer's complaint has been handled. She was satisfied with the outcome.
They never submitted my 2017 taxes, as I had paid as I had paid for to be done.*** the tax preparer
I paid $150 to have my 2017 taxes filed with*** the tax preparer. They sat unresolved in his system for months with no action. They are still not filed
I am seeking a refund and a call from the owner. I asked *** the manager to have him call me and have yet to receive a call
Ms. spoke to the client and informed her of the need to file the NC tax by paper. The client came into the office and Ms. gave the client a copy of the NC tax and instructed the client to mail them directly to the NC Department of Revenue. When the client left the office she was satisfied that her taxes had been completed.
Liberty Tax does not feel that a refund of fees is warranted. Liberty Tax filed a federal tax return, a NC state tax return and a Michigan State tax return for the client for a total cost of $150.
My issue has not been resolved.
Months went by after my taxes were filed by *** and I never received my NC refund. It was only after multiple visits to the tax office location *** went unassisted that *** looked my information up on his computer and discovered he had misfiled my taxes incorrectly and they were rejected.
Due to his lack of competency, he never contacted me regarding the error message.
I visited and called the tax office. Multiple visits to the tax office location ***, *** went unassisted. Multiple phone calls and messages to *** went unanswered. He informed me he would "call or text" me as soon as my taxes were accepted and he never contacted me with an update.
I presented to the tax office and called multiple times to ensure my NC return was correctly filed and never got a resolution. He could not tell me why they weren't filed or why he kept getting error messages in his system. He did not ever call the state to inquire about the problem.
*** yelled at me during my last visit there and told me he had "bent over backwards" to help-which is a LIE because his computer system rejected my taxes multiple times due to his error and he never contacted me to fix them. He is rude, unprofessional, and lacks customer service skills. Multiple times during my trips there he would answer his personal cell phone and get up to help other customers. He never apologized for his errors.
Finally, he pawned me off to the***, *** location where they printed my tax return for me to mail in myself. I asked for a copy of all the times I was there and all of the rejections in his system so I could show the state tax department in case of any problems and they refused. I asked for the owner to call me so I could discuss my ongoing issues with his business and I have not been contacted.
My issue is not resolved. DO NOT GET YOUR TAXES DONE HERE. I paid them $150 and my 2017 state taxes have still not been processed.
Liberty Tax has had my tax information for 2017 since March of 2018 and yet to file or give me my information back. They are not returning multiplecal
They have had my tax information for nine months. They are not returning my calls. I requested they return my information and as of yet I have not received.
In addition, they filed for an extension on filing my taxes without my approval. I spoke to the owner three weeks ago, he was to call me back and never did so. I have been calling every day for two weeks with not response.
I am now beyond filing date with my taxes as of yet incomplete and I do not have the information I submitted to them.
I want my taxes, either completed or my tax information return to me. I want Liberty Tax to pay in late fees I may be charged by IRS.
The client came into Liberty Tax in late March to file for an extension. Liberty Tax completed the request for an extension and was waiting for information from the client to complete his taxes. At the time the client came in to complete his taxes, Liberty Tax indicated they would not complete his taxes as the client wanted the information entered. The client can pick up his tax paperwork at our ***, ***, NC location during normal work hours. Our hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 11 AM - 6 PM.
Liberty Tax filed for an extension without my knowledge. I gave them the tax information with adequate time to complete on or before April 15. I found out about the extension by phone, speaking to ***. She said Liberty Tax was filing an extension and they would pay the fee. I ask if the $3000 I had paid to the IRS for 2017 was adequate to which she replied yes. If there are any penalities associated with my returns I request Liberty Tax refund me otherwise I will have my attorney contact them.
Liberty Tax did file an extension for the client on March 26, 2018. The client filed out and signed our client data sheet on that day and the extension was filed for free for the client on that day. The following day, the client returned and dropped off additional paperwork. As stated before, Liberty Tax would not complete the client's return as the client wanted it completed. Our preparers would not have been able to discuss if funds paid in were adequate, without having completed the clients return. The client picked up his paperwork earlier this week.
They advertised that they do not do credit checks for their advanced refund for their tax services. A soft credit check is done.
Their advertisements states that no credit check is done for an advanced refund on taxes. After my wife and I only got approved for $500 we tried asking them why they couldn't answer. I called the banks and financial institutions and found out that a soft credit check is performed. I contacted Liberty Tax Corporate HQ and filed a complaint there and they said that the franchise we went to could call me in 24 to 48 hours. I never received a call. I called their corporate again and told them they updated the complaint and told them I'm going to file a complaint on the Revdex.com.
They charged over $500 to prepare my taxes. I would like that fee waived due to their false advertising.

During the *** underwriting process, *** Bank & Trust Company evaluates the taxpayer's tax return data, expected federal refund, previous history with the transmitter and credit bureau information to determine the likelihood that the return will be funded by the IRS. The review of credit bureau information is a soft inquiry and does not affect the taxpayer's credit score. Customers that are denied the loan will receive a letter from *** Bank and Trust Company, stating the reason for being declined.

Well Liberty tax should state that a SOFT credit check is done instead of saying NO CREDIT CHECK. A soft credit check is still a form of a credit check. And when I even called liberty tax corporate office they agreed with me that you all should advertise that a soft credit is done instead of saying no Credit check. Also when I filed a complaint with corporate before going to the Revdex.com they told me that I should be receiving a phone call from where I filed my taxes. That never happened.
Liberty Tax Service is a tax preparation business. We prepare the clients return indicating what the client can expect for a refund. Liberty Tax is not a lending institution. Our association with a lender is to give the client the opportunity to receive an advance based on their anticipated income tax refund. The lender determines eligibility and the advance amount if approved. The lender notifies each applicant with a results letter with reasons for their decision within 30 days. Liberty Tax is not informed as to the reason for the denial or reason for a reduction in the approval amount. As stated previously, the applicant was approved for a $500 *** Loan.
Liberty Tax provided the tax preparation service requested by the client.
