Loudoun Times-Mirror

Review: Last year before I explained to the Loudoun times mirror that I was not interested in receiving their newspapers, circulars or Sales spam to my home. I dont want the litter, and I frequently travel so I dont want newspapers in my yard or drive way sitting there for days and indicating that I am not home. I asked them to stop this before and they did but now they have started again. In an electronic age it is not a good thing to waste paper to print what should be available online. Save and tree and please dont deliver to my house. Not that the press is reputable anyway. Which is another reason that I am not interested.Desired Settlement: STOP DELIVERING SPAM, NEWSPAPERS, CIRCULARS, ADVERTISEMENTS TO MY HOME. PUT ME ON YOUR PERMANENT DO NOT CONTACT NOR LITTER ON PROPERTY LIST, NO SPAM!.

An apology would not hurt.

The Loudoun Times-Mirror is a weekly community newspaper delivered to targeted homes, free of charge, as a public service. It is very well received by the community at large and we often find readers waiting on it’s arrival.

We recognize that there will be some residents who are not interested in the paper and we take great pains to maintain a record of all calls and a current “Do Not Deliver List”

My records show that we have received two calls from the complainant asking us to cease delivery to his home. The first call was on 12/2/2011 and we did cease delivery at that time. The second call is logged on 10/22/2013. I have spoken to our circulation manager, and we did have a substitute carrier delivering on this route that week. The substitute appears to have delivered in error.

We certainly do apologize for the lapse and will take greater care in achieving our goal of putting the paper into the hands of our many loyal readers, while avoiding delivery to those who do not read the paper.
