Buyer beware
Buyer beware. Long read, but worth it.

I followed this breeder’s website for awhile, noting the site states “Puppies average $1500/$2500… some as high as $5000.” Since I had not seen any puppies for $1500, I emailed them. Sarah Coates responded “we will have some from this litter just born”. I was ecstatic, immediately responded and my application was approved! Sarah stated “The blacks will be $1500.” I told her I was definitely interested in a black pup. She stated “This is Remmy's first litter so we are waiting to make sure she is a good momma before accepting any deposits on the litter until they are 7 to 10 days old and doing well.”

This was my first time using a breeder, so I patiently waited, checking email and the website everyday to see when they would start accepting deposits. I also sent emails to Sarah for other info to get plans in place to get the puppy. Then, when the pups were 9 days old, the prices suddenly increased! The website now showed NO pups for $1500 and the 2 black pups were $2000 and $2500 on their PUPPIES! page, but the site also said “Classic colors are $1500” on the Upcoming Litters page for the same exact litter. I immediately contacted her.

She stated she increased the price “due to her small size and how nice she is maturing. You didn't commit to securing any puppy. If you had placed a deposit and secured a puppy then the price would have been fixed.” I responded I was told I couldn’t place a deposit, was patiently waiting to give a deposit and had already made plans to get the pup. She apologized, said she couldn’t possibly update everyone and she recently had surgery. I reminded her we were emailing back and forth and she gave no notice she was accepting deposits yet or increasing prices. There was also no update/info on the site that she started taking deposits. She again just apologized, but offered no other option other than to purchase the puppy at the increased price. I was completely heart-broken!

I sent one more heart felt e-mail expressing my sadness and disappointment. Then she simply stopped responding to me. This is not only an unfair, unacceptable way of conducting business, but it also shows a complete lack of compassion, kindness, morality and integrity. Her website and emails are quite deceiving.

I am happy to say, God sent me a sign by helping me find Tesmer Valley Mini Boxers in Minnesota. I found the perfect little miniboxer, had a great experience w/ Tesmer Vally and picked up my girl yesterday! She’s a little black mini boxer beauty with very unique brown coloring. I wish I could post a pic here, but you can check out the pups on “Mini Boxers, Boston Terriers and French Bulldogs” on Facebook or in their website.

I’m not posting this for retribution, but to warn others before they get invested and make plans to get a puppy, just to have it all pulled away. Good luck to all ❤️🐾❤️

Be careful! Researched and visited with this owner before deposit, honestly didn't many complaints (until after our issue!) which is why we are posting where ever we can. Advertises as a Christian. Placed a $500 deposit because the owner told me she had 2 pregnant females who would have the coloring we desired, due in the time frame we were seeking. We wanted a fawn male in the spring so we could train him all summer before the harsh winter hit again. We chose a litter that the owner said was due first and were given the 2nd choice male spot. Within 2 days of placing my deposit the owner posted the litter and the due date (March 7) on her website. Our deposit paperwork was not even actually completed until 3 weeks later and it stated the litter and due date right on the contract. We communicated off and on for the next month or so. We contacted her a week before the due date to ask a question. Later in the day she texted that she didn't think her dog was even pregnant. When we asked "what happens now" she responded that we would have to wait because she didn't have any pregnant dogs at the time. So, first there were 2 pregnant dogs and then there were none. She didn't think she would have any until into the summer, which is not what we signed up for and we communicated that up front. Our question to her was "were you even planning to tell us she wasn't pregnant?" We questioned why she wouldn't ultrasound her dogs before advertising a due date when they cost this much ($1500-3000)? She said she does not do that and she can just tell when they are pregnant... obviously not. We had to tell our kids, which was devastating since this was our first dog. We actually saw an ad in the paper a few days later for a full-grown boxer. We thought it was God's answer to our dilemma so we decided to take him. Obviously, she used this against us stating it wasn't her fault we changed our minds. We did not change our minds about a dog or the time frame in which we wanted to purchase one, just about our trust in her and her operation. She called it a false pregnancy but if she suspected that why didn't she seek vet confirmation? She claimed she never ultrasounds but 1 week after our puppy should have been due, she posted on her website 2 females with suspected pregnancies that she was getting ultra-sounded. We asked the owner for a refund of our deposit considering the circumstances of this deal, which we realized was not completely her fault but the way she handled the business end of things was poor to say the least. She refused. We asked if we could transfer our deposit to another potential client, she said we could but we had to find the client (not an easy task without posting on her website to these select clients looking). She would not mention our deposit spot to potential clients. We felt it would have been appealing since we were fairly high on the list. We tried to make a general post on her face book page to advertise the spot, she as the administrator would not allow the post. We did not use ANY negative language, just wanted to see if someone wanted to assume our spot, pay us back for the deposit because we were unable to use the slot anymore due to unforeseen circumstances. We contacted RevDex.com and they did absolutely nothing to help resolve this issue. We even suggested just half of a deposit return as a possible mediation. She didn't respond. In talking with other clients and breeders, we have come to the conclusion that this is a puppy mill that takes more deposits than there are puppies in a litter. BUYER BEWARE! This is a ZERO star rating but they make you choose at least 1.

Review: My wife and I purchased a 2 year old miniature boxer (we named [redacted]) from LSC Ranch for $1,100.00 This fee included neuter and shipping as they are in **, and we are in **. Upon arrival, after a day or so, I noticed a small bump on the dogs leg. Over the next 2 1/2 months the bump grew into a large marble sized growth. We had just spent the last year healing from the drawn out slow death of our 8 year old Labrador, and were not ready for another "sick" dog so soon. I contacted [redacted] (owner of LSC Ranch), and while she assured me it was nothing (and they had no idea about the growth, as he was vet cleared before shipment) she offered me no options except a replacement puppy when it became available. We contacted the vet in ** that cleared this dog, and they did not have much information except for the neuter. I suggested to [redacted] it would probably be best, most humane option if "[redacted]" was sent back to ** since that is where he grew up, and I asked for [redacted] to help with shipment, and maybe a partial refund. At this point we had done no lab work on the lump, we had done some basic research with a few vets, and the prognosis was not good. Anyway, [redacted] really changed the tone of her emails at this point. She said we needed to notify her within 5 days of the dogs arrival of any health issues, and that there would be no refund, and no help with shipping [redacted] back. She suggested the tumor was from his diet. I was shocked. The vets we spoke with said there is no way diet would cause a lump this quickly. Since we were leaving town we had to contact an animal rescue service. [redacted] had surgery and it is a mast cell tumor (cancer). There is a 50% chance of another tumor returning. Anyone who takes him now at least will know that much (better than LSC Ranch at any rate). I was surprised that a breeder could seem so indifferent to one of its dogs.Desired Settlement: We would like a cash refund.

Response:

First off I would like to say that I give a five day money back guarantee and If they had noticed the bump right away they should have told me and we could have worked it out. Also, my guarantee is only valid if they are feeding [redacted] dog food, which they weren't.. I still however offered to give them a replacement puppy, and to take [redacted] back and take him to my vet and take care of my boy. But that they would need to cover his shipping. They did not want a new puppy. they wanted to send [redacted] back to me. Which I was more than happy to get [redacted] back. But they wanted me to give a full refund and pay shipping. I sold [redacted] for a total of $1,100 over $500 was just shipping charges. Then he was neutered and had all his shots. I maybe actually got $400 for him.
