From the first day I moved in there I been I was being discriminated against.Was told I had to move out the first day I moved in because I knew the previous office worker so they told me I wasn't allowed to move in.The person that told me was [redacted] and the lady that works in the office.They told me I was 86 after they took my money .I called the police and filled out a police report and got a case number.They told me that if I moved out that corporate will give me all my money back.They 86 all of my visitors.I received unfair treatment such as a room that was unfit for living, cat poop in carpets, mold all around the tub and toilet, lock around door didn't work. Reported all problems none were fixed.Moved out early when I had a back up place to go. While staying there none of the problems were fixed.Tv or lights didn't work. Asked [redacted] for corporates number, he said he didn't have it.Desired SettlementI would like all my money backBusiness Response The first day that she moved in, it was at the closing of day and I told her that I had to run background checks on both her and her girlfriend. and that I would not know til the following day. She informed me that she had lived here before and that the old manager had ripped her off. I told her I knew nothing of that however, if anything came back on the background check from Corperate that at the end of their payment they would have to move. I explain that to everyone who moves in especially at the end of the day. I never heard of police being called and they never spoke with me.As far as the accusations of an unfit room, each person checks out the room before moving in and fills out a form with the condition of the room.They did not fill this in with any complaints as to the room. October 2, 2013 she asked that her A/C unit be fixed, it was checked and found to be ok by maintenance.On October 4, 2013 I received request for TV to be fixed, work order completed by maintenance on the same day. October 9, 2013 she complained about the TV again, and maintenance tried to replace the TV Made several attempts between 4:30 and 7PM to get TV replaced. No one answered door. On October 11, tenant requested a smaller bedframe for her bed and request was taken care of same day.October 6, 2013 there was an incident between [redacted] and her friends and they were reported throwing things over the balcony. Other tenants and the maintenance man filled out incident reports to this effect. I have all the documentation to back these statements up, however, I do not have a scanner to scan the documents. We had enough time to go to the store to get a money order. We have evidence of everything, several witnesses and spoke it several police officers. We made police reports from the day of the first incident, here's the confirmation number [redacted]. I have asked for corporates number several of times and never received it. We contacted the health department and they said they couldn't do anything because the macgregor is ran by private owners. We contacted the news and the [redacted]. The day racial slurs was thrown at us by the maintenance man and the other tenants, there were several witnesses and an an undercover cop outside. When my girlfriend was being verbally abused by the maintenance man and other tenants, she called her mom. When she came to defend her, her mom got kicked off the property by the maintenance man for no reason. The other tenants threw away my girlfriends stuff in the trash. The maintenance man was there, seen them do it and didn't yell at them and did nothing about it. I called the nonemergency police explained the situation and asked if an officer can meet us. An officer came to speak with us. The police officer even said that there has been plenty of complaints of the macgregor and no one couldn't even get ahold of corporate. My brother and his wife is a witness. They came to the macgregor but the maintenance man and [redacted]( office women) wasn't no where to be found. My brothers number is [redacted]. I called my mom when everything was going on, on the room phone with the door opened on the balcony. Her number is [redacted]. My girlfriends moms number is [redacted]. The tv and a.c was never fixed, neither did we receive a new bed rail. Everything was done on camera. We are willing to take a polygraph test to narrow down the truth and willing to take this to court. Everything was done on camera.
