Mall Wide Events LLC Reviews (11)

This company does not do what they claim that they doThey claim to advertise and have exhibitors best interest at heart when they are planning trade events around the countryFrom my experience at their event, the advertising they claimed they did was a shamThe floor plan of the event completely changed the morning that we got there, without our noticeThe changes and lack of online presence of the event led to my business (and 70% of the business I spoke with) getting no leads from the entire weekendAny money spent with this company is money lost

I had a similar experience as the other review I read on here, they contacted me to display at an "event" at a mall, was touted as a home and lifestyle expo, I could not find any promotion for it, the mall itself only posted a facebook promotion for it after it started, no leads from this, no presence after set up for Mall Wide Events, not even the mall staff came around to see how we were doing There were vendors and we all had the same experience, DO NOT sign to do an event with these artists!

I’m writing in response to the complaint filed by [redacted] regarding their disappointment with the event at the Tysons Corner Center and request for a refund of the monies paid for participationFor review I have attached a copy of the ad that ran in the McLean Connection (1/page color ad) along with the advertising that ran with IHeart Media (WASH FM & IASH FM) promoting the event In addition to the radio & newspaper promotion the Tysons Corner also promoted this event in their consumer e-blast that went out Friday evening and their social media on Saturday and we also had onsite mall signage (attached is a copy of the sign). There is no way to predict the traffic coming to the mall on any given weekend or where people will shop, regardless of the advertising done for the show Our exhibitor paperwork clearly states that your business will come from the existing traffic in the mall, not the advertising to promote the event (item # on page of the exhibitor contract) Our events are a form of off-site marketing / advertising for your company, and just like advertising in the newspaper and/ or radio, or any other form of advertising your company may do, there is no guarantee that it will produce the results you hope for Mall Wide Events fulfilled our contract with your company Although we are disappointed that you had such a bad experience with the show, we unfortunately will not be refunding you your monies paid for the event as we cannot control the success of any individual exhibitor in our events

Response to Complaint # [redacted] : Mall Wide Events set up a Home & Lifestyle Expo at the Cottonwood Mall in January and unfortunately upon our arrival to the mall we were notified of required floor plan changes for the event which inevitably meant that some exhibitors would have to be relocated From time to time this does happen with our events due to carts & kiosks that lease space from the mall on a month to month basis that ultimately eliminate our proposed exhibit spaces for our event Because we know that this can happen on occasion we clearly state in the Exhibitor Agreement that if unforeseen circumstances arise at the show (such as floor plan changes) we do reserve the right to reallocate an exhibit space to the affected exhibitor For this event we did have required floor plan changes that meant us relocating a few of the exhibitors from their requested location to alternate locations and Champion Windows was one of the exhibitors that needed to be moved We relocated them into the main corridor along with several other exhibitors (not away from the rest of the show as Ms [redacted] stated) and several of these exhibitors did quite well in the show During the event our onsite rep had received other requests from other exhibitors to relocate their display because they were unhappy with their location, and our rep honored their request and found them alternate locations in the mall that they felt better suited their needs, and relocated them after the mall closed It is against mall policy to move anything while the mall is open due to liability reasonsOur onsite rep was not aware that Champion Windows was unhappy with their location until Ms [redacted] contacted him on Sunday around noon (just hours before the show was over) when she called him asking if she could move her display Because the mall was already open there was nothing we could do to accommodate her request to move Had she made the request earlier in the show our rep would have gladly relocated their display just as he had with other companies Ms [redacted] claims that she wasn’t aware of the move because the people she had running her display were ‘temp people’, but there was no way for us to know that the people running her display were ‘temp people’ and our staff shouldn’t be held accountable for the lack of communication between Ms [redacted] and her ‘temp people’ running the display We feel that our offer of a 50% credit is more than adequate being that had we were not made aware of her disappointment until it was too late to do anything about it

This company does not do what they claim that they do. They claim to advertise and have exhibitors best interest at heart when they are planning trade events around the country. From my experience at their event, the advertising they claimed they did was a sham. The floor plan of the event completely changed the morning that we got there, without our notice. The changes and lack of online presence of the event led to my business (and 70% of the business I spoke with) getting no leads from the entire weekend. Any money spent with this company is money lost.

I’m writing in
response to the complaint filed by [redacted] regarding their disappointment with the event at
the Tysons Corner Center and request for a refund of the monies paid
for participation. For review I have attached
a copy of the ad that ran in the McLean Connection...

(1/4 page color ad) along
with the advertising that ran with IHeart Media (WASH FM & IASH FM)
promoting the event.  In addition to the radio & newspaper promotion
the Tysons Corner also promoted this event in their consumer e-blast that went
out Friday evening and their social media on Saturday and we also had onsite
mall signage (attached is a copy of the sign). There is no way to
predict the traffic coming to the mall on any given weekend or where people
will shop, regardless of the advertising done for the show.  Our exhibitor
paperwork clearly states that your business will come from the existing
traffic in the mall, not the advertising to promote the event (item #6
on page 2 of the exhibitor contract).  Our events are a form of off-site
marketing / advertising for your company, and just like advertising in the
newspaper and/ or radio, or any other form of advertising your company may do,
there is no guarantee that it will produce the results you hope for.
Mall Wide Events fulfilled our
contract with your company.  Although we are disappointed that you had
such a bad experience with the show, we unfortunately will not be refunding you
your monies paid for the event as we cannot control the success of any
individual exhibitor in our events.

Never do business with this company. They are not upfront with what they tell show vendors regarding advertising and traffic for the show. They are rude and once they receive your payment disappear!

Good afternoon - The Brook Pointe Inn did in fact participate in the Home & Lifestyle Expo that we set up at the University Park Mall February 6-8, 2015.  As Mr. [redacted] indicated he was disappointed with his turnout.  His main complaint was the lack of business he generated from the...

show, therefore he wanted his money back.  Our events are a form of advertising and as with any advertising there is no guarantee on a return of your investment.  We did advertise our show in the local newspaper with a full color ad (see attached), along with onsite promotion through the mall's website, social media, as well as inside mall signage.  Again, there is no guarantee of business with any amount of advertising done for our event which is why it is clearly stated in the contract that Mr. [redacted] signed that his business would come from the existing mall traffic, not from any advertising being done to promote the event (see attached item #6 on page 2 of the contract).  As far as having 40 exhibitors in the show, we didn't, we had 35 (another untrue claim), and we did not generate $20,000.00 in revenue.  Mr. [redacted] has no way of knowing what amount of revenue we generated and has no idea how much we paid the University Park Mall to host the event.  His claims are completely uncalled for and are simply his opinion on a situation based simply on his disappointment with the event.  We did not respond to Mr. [redacted]'s second email to us because it was a repeat of his first email - he was requesting a refund, and we will not be issuing one.  Mall Wide Events fulfilled every aspect of our agreement with Mr. [redacted], and all of the vendors in the event, which is why he is not entitled to a refund.  We take our business and reputation seriously, and are very upset with his claims.Sincerely,
[redacted]

I had a similar experience as the other review I read on here, they contacted me to display at an "event" at a mall, was touted as a home and lifestyle expo, I could not find any promotion for it, the mall itself only posted a facebook promotion for it after it started, no leads from this, no presence after set up for Mall Wide Events, not even the mall staff came around to see how we were doing. There were 24 vendors and we all had the same experience, DO NOT sign to do an event with these artists!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
Its b[redacted]me very clear that this business operates by vocalizing one thing and then Covering it with sketchy info. Why would they say "All Business will come from Mall traffic" and then run radio and print ads. It's clear this business has no intention of honoring their commitments. We have 6 other companies who will attest to these deceptive trade practices. We appreciate the Revdex.com attempts to help but it is clear we need to persue other avenues of redress.

Response to Complaint #[redacted]: Mall Wide Events set up a Home & Lifestyle Expo at the Cottonwood Mall in January and unfortunately upon our arrival to the mall we were...

notified of required floor plan changes for the event which inevitably meant that some exhibitors would have to be relocated.  From time to time this does happen with our events due to carts & kiosks that lease space from the mall on a month to month basis that ultimately eliminate our proposed exhibit spaces for our event.  Because we know that this can happen on occasion we clearly state in the Exhibitor Agreement that if unforeseen circumstances arise at the show (such as floor plan changes) we do reserve the right to reallocate an exhibit space to the affected exhibitor.  For this event we did have required floor plan changes that meant us relocating a few of the exhibitors from their requested location to alternate locations and Champion Windows was one of the exhibitors that needed to be moved.  We relocated them into the main corridor along with several other exhibitors (not away from the rest of the show as Ms. [redacted] stated) and several of these exhibitors did quite well in the show.  During the event our onsite rep had received other requests from 2 other exhibitors to relocate their display because they were unhappy with their location, and our rep honored their request and found them alternate locations in the mall that they felt better suited their needs, and relocated them after the mall closed.  It is against mall policy to move anything while the mall is open due to liability reasons. Our onsite rep was not aware that Champion Windows was unhappy with their location until Ms. [redacted] contacted him on Sunday around noon (just 5 hours before the show was over) when she called him asking if she could move her display.  Because the mall was already open there was nothing we could do to accommodate her request to move.  Had she made the request earlier in the show our rep would have gladly relocated their display just as he had with 2 other companies.  Ms. [redacted] claims that she wasn’t aware of the move because the people she had running her display were ‘temp people’, but there was no way for us to know that the people running her display were ‘temp people’ and our staff shouldn’t be held accountable for the lack of communication between Ms. [redacted] and her ‘temp people’ running the display.  We feel that our offer of a 50% credit is more than adequate being that had we were not made aware of her disappointment until it was too late to do anything about it.
