Review: Contacted Jim at Mamaroneck Appliance back in July regarding our Samsung dishwasher that stopped working. Jim came later that day, assessed the situation, and said it would be a week or two, to order the part etc. He came back, installed the part, seemed to have it resolved and charged me $360 for the work. 2 days later, the dishwasher stopped working again. I called him to come back- he looked at it, said it would be another part, and that he would contact us later that week. He never called, never returned any text messages. emails or voicemails after that. He charged me $360, cashed my check and never fixed the machine.

I had another company come out to assess the repair, turns out it was a simple problem that they were able to fix on the spot.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back. In reading his online reviews, he apparently does this quite often and seems to get away with it. He needs to be stopped. Companies/Owners like this need to be taken to task. This way of doing business is unacceptable.

Review: Company promised delivery of appliances, charged card and refuses to contact me about delivery. will not return calls or emails, refuses to acknowledge issue. Went to business address and it turned out to be a po box. Owner has continually misrepresented facts and lied to me regarding purchase leaving me without the means to clean clothes.Desired Settlement: I want him to honor his agreed upon price, as documented in emails, and deliver and install appliances asap

Review: In May of 2013, I contacted Mamaroneck Appliance & Service, Inc. to fix my dishwasher because the latch was broken and the door was getting stuck when we attempted to open it. Jimmy, the owner, I assume, failed to show up for one appointment we had set. He apologized for not showing, after I had to reach out to him, and came to fix the dishwasher another day. He ordered parts (a latch and new hinges) and fixed the dishwasher. I gave him a check for $361.30 ($206.14 for the parts/$129.95 for labor and the rest in state tax), which he cashed on July **, 2013. Roughly one month ago, my dishwasher door began to get stuck again and I was having difficulty trying to open it. Since the company's website claims they provide 1-year labor warranty, I contacted Jimmy on February **to fix what he had initially fixed. His response was immediate and he actually came right over to as the problem. He told me he did not have the proper tools with him and would come back to fix the door. He insisted that he would not charge me for these services since it was less than a year and it was the same problem. He told me he would call me in a few days to fix the door and I never heard from him. I continued to call him and on March **I received a text message from him. It said, "I noticed you just called. Sorry, with a client at the moment. Everyone at home went another round of being sick, including my wife and me. Can we schedule for tomorrow?" I texted him immediately and said yes and that my mom, who was staying with me, would be able to let him in if he just let me know what time he would be there. No response. I texted again on March **, asking if he was coming and he texted, "Yes, absolutely, between 12 & 12:30 ok?" I texted, "Great! Please call me when you are downstairs and I will tell her (mom) to let you in." No response. I texted again on March **. No response. I called numerous times and the phone went right to a voicemail message. After many attempts, I gave him one last chance to respond on Thursday, March **, and told him I was reporting him to Revdex.com if he did not respond. No response. I have since researched his company's reviews and it seems to be that this is a pattern of his behavior.Desired Settlement: I am seeking cash in the amount of $361.30 for the cost to repair the dishwasher. Since I now have to hire someone to repair it or buy a new dishwasher, I feel I am owed this money. He has caused much stress and inconvenience in not honoring the warranty that is written on his website. [redacted]
