I called to cancel within the three full business days that was stated in the contract, but was not allowed to.
Initially, I had signed up to save money on my student loans. On the phone, they had told me I had 3 full business days to cancel once I submitted the contract. I had singed this contract/agreement on a Thursday morning and called back on a Tuesday at 11:30-noon. When I had called back, they told me I had to pay over $400 to cancel my "program" because I called back later than I had initially signed the document. However, in the document/contract it stated I had 3 full business days. Also, I was never told I had to call back by the time I signed the contract. I was stuck having to pay over $400 when I should've been able to cancel at no charge.

Desired Outcome

I would just like this company to realize they did a poor job with the contract and customer service. I would not like anyone, like me, a student, to have to go through this either. It would be great if I received a refund for this since it was not clearly stated in the contract.

We apologize if this client is not satisfied with our service. Unfortunately this is not just time issue. She was past the 3 days time frame but we also require cancellation in writing and we honored her verbal cancellation request after the cancellation period. I attached a copy of the signed agreement , electronic signature certificate with time and date, and a close up of the cancellation policy with client initials on it. In the spirit of customer service we have refunded the phase one payment to the client. Please let us know if you need anything.

MMNW offered services, which I made three payments of and they did not fulfill the requirements. They haven't contacted me since they received payment
MMNW contacted me regarding my student loans as a way to help lower monthly payments. I had to make four payments of 212.25 the first starting on 8/13/19 and following on 9/3,9/24 and 10/18 all of 2019. The last payment on 10/18 never was taken out of my account and I never got contacted as to why. Finally, my loan provider from Great Lakes contacted me about my forbearance was coming to a end, so I let them know what was going on to see is MMNW has contacted them. When they checked the haven't received anything from them and informed me that because I did make payments and they did take my money but no action or service has been provided it was probably not legit. Because this is involved with my federal student loans and they had my information regarding all my accounts, I was urged to contact you guys and get this situation resolved. I was first contacted by Manage My Net Worth on August 12 of 2019 by Jordan Williams at *** ex.*** and emailed by [email protected]

Desired Outcome

In resolution I would like to receive a full refund of the payments I made to Manage My Net Worth. I made three total payments of 212.25 which is 636.75. I don't want to be contacted by this business again.

Manage My Net Worth Response • Nov 06, 2019

Manage my Net Worth is an independent processing company that was handling the document preparation for ***. She was enrolled with another company as we have let her know in a recorded call that MMNW is a third party independent compliance department. We have attempted to contact this client over the last few months to provide income verification that was explained to her in the recorded quality control call. During this call we explained that we are a third party processing company and we would be handling the document preparation for her enrollment into a payment program with a DOE servicer. Much like she would have a tax preparation office help fill out her taxes, we are doing the same for her student loan enrollment. We completed the first phase by sending in the forbearance request as outlined in the signed client agreement attached. We attempted to collect the income verification that the client said she would send in to us. The client also has an outstanding declined payments and per the contract signed, we will stop all work if a declined payment is not rescheduled within 7 banking days. The client agreement also outlines the client will be given a full refund if they send in the supporting documents requested within 60 days of enrolling and allows MMNW processing 120 days for completion of the enrollment. The client has done neither of these things. Since the last payment was never paid, and the client refused to respond to any of our 22 emails and calls by sending the documents requested, we will mail her completed forms that are in her file with instructions on how to file them with income verification. Usually we will not send these out unless the last payment is made , also outlined in the signed client agreement but we will make an exception in this case. I have attached the fax sent to [loan servicer]*** completing phase one, the signed client agreement, copies of the emails, files notes, and calls made. I have attached the sign agreements, The notes, emails, and recorded calls with this client. Including the one where she acknowledged [loan servicer]*** said the forbearance was sent but it had her name on it, and our rep explained she signed that in her enrollment pack along with a power of attorney to allow us to work on her behalf. She has told my staff that she is demanding a refund because she feels she can get a better deal from [loan servicer]*** for free, she has the right to do so and cancel within the cancellation in the signed agreement but to demand a refund and make a Revdex.com compliant to try and get one after contracting a company to do work and changing your mind is wrong. (This recorded c all is also attached for review. Her request for us not to contact her here will be honored short of us mailing the completed documents and invoice to her. Unless she would like to call to come to a reasonable resolution with us.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept the response from Manage my Net Worth. First of all, I have not been contacted 22 times, the last form of connection prior to this complaint, was on 9/24/19. Reason why they called me was because my payment didn't go through, when I spoke to them on the phone I explained how I was at the bank in that moment depositing the money which they did receive and charged a late fee which I agreed to. The "Outstanding declined" payment they're mentioning, I'm sure was for 10/18/19, which I actually stated in my original complaint, it was in the account and it never got taken out by MMNW, as to why that was I'm not sure because they failed to contact me in regards to why they didn't accept it. Which I do have receipts of my transactions and when they did take the 212.25, except for 9/24/19 Being 220.75 due to the late fee added on, which was still paid on the date we agreed upon. After last being connected on 9/24/19, I wasn't contacted again until 11/06/19, coincidentally the deadline to respond to your agency. Because my payment was never taken out on 10/18, is why I have yet to send in the documents they requested, which would of stayed in lines of our contract if they would have received it, or if there was an issue with the payment, like on 9/24/19, why did they never inform me of it not being able to go through and we could have resolved the issue. My bank statement show I deposited that 212.25 on 10/17/19 so there should have been no issue as to why they shouldn't have received my payments. So I believe they didn't take my payment out to purposely put me out of our contract in order to put me at fault, and for them to not contact me in regards to it being declined until I contacted The Revdex.com and was informed they had until 11/06/19 to respond is when they finally responded to me. When I asked why my payment was not received or why I wasn't connected, she didn't have a response to why MMNW didn't take the payment out and stated they have tried contacting me "22" times through phone and email. Which I do not agree with because going through my history of communication with MMNW via email and phone I was only contacted twice by email being our first initial contact, and since we established our agreements on 8/12/19 bring our first contacted through phone, I been contacted twice through phone both being on 9/24 first call 8:06 and second being at 8:12 regard to the late payment and that they were able to receive it after I deposited the payment. When I spoke to MMNW on 11/06/19 I explained my concerns and how I wanted to receive a a refund and wanted to end business with them. Attached are my email history regarding Managed My Net Worth, which is only two from them. Also, a few bank statements from 10/17/19 that shows a x amount of money deposited which included the payment for MMNW and on the 10/18/19 which shows an x amount in the account so MMNW should of had no problem receiving payment or the payment getting declined because there was more than enough for them to collect their payment.

Two days after giving Manage My Net Worth my debit card information someone tried to use it without my permission.
I believe that Manage My Net Worth might be a fraud company. I was hoping that they would help me with my student loan. Manage My Net Worth was going to bill me 125.00 every two weeks to help take care of my student loans. Unfortunately after two days of giving them my debit card information it was used without my permission. Apparently only debit or credit card is the only payment they will accept. I called Manage My Net Worth to let them know about my debit card being comprised. I told them I want to cancel my account because I do not want to give them my new debit card information. I have to send a written statement saying that I want to cancel. The statement is in the mailbox. I also believe the company does not have an email address.

Desired Outcome

I don't know if anyone else has filed a complaint about Manage My Net Worth but I just want others to be aware. Also I am not happy that my debit card information was stolen because of them. Also I want them to shred or delete any of my information that I gave them.

Manage My Net Worth Response • Oct 30, 2019

I am not sure where this client go t her information from, but we never ran a payment for her. She enrolled with us and immediately asked to cancel. The fraud on her account was not from us, and allegations like this are very serious especially when made without proof or even an idea of where it came from. I personally spoke to *** and I was told she would take care of this complaint, and yet she was let it sit here. We also will follow up with defamation as well.

On May 14th the company contacted my wife concerning my wife's student loans. She paid the sum of 1252.98 for services that were not done.
The company has not completed any of the things that they said they would. It is now September and *** has not received a forbearance on her loans. The company has not provided any verification of anything that they have done. They have not initiated communication with since May 14th.

Desired Outcome

Refund

Manage My Net Worth Response • Sep 16, 2019

I have been in contact with *** and her husband. We have resubmitted all applications for the two services she enrolled in and issued a partial refund. We are committed to exceeding our clients expectations and hope we can continue to do so for ***. I have already provided the refund receipt and documents to *** and her husband so I will not upload them here.
