I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Hello,
I think I have all of the emails printed that were from Manhattan Marketing or to Manhattan Marketing from myself and I will be faxing it all to you in the morning.. These emails show where I requested *** ** ***(as listed on the destinations literature provided) first, then after several weeks with no confirmation Ms *** advised that this destination no longer participated with them and that I should change my request to(one of their new destinations not yet listed on the brochure) *** *** at *** ***. So I did. Every time I spoke with Ms *** she would state the confirmation would be to me that evening. Eventually I contacted *** *** myself and was advised via email that they do not work with Manhattan Marketing (I have printed those correspondence as well). When I advised Ms *** of this she stated that there were some issues and that I again needed to change my vacation request to *** *** *** (which is another resort not listed on their destination list they sent me). Trying to get any vacation at that point I again agreed to change my destination request to Sand Pebble. Again days passed and I kept being told that the confirmation was on its way. Finally I contacted *** *** directly, I was informed that Peppertree Atlantic has not worked with Manhattan Marketing for a very long time, *** *** is not even a *** ***, and was also informed that no request had been made for any reservations prior to the Sand Pebble request that was not available. the lady I spoke with at *** *** stated that she was sending an email right then to Manhattan Marketing to advise them there is no br rentals as I was sold in the package. The response that Bry *** of Manhattan Marketing provided you is full of inaccurate information, I am very very disappointed as I feel that she has deliberately lied and tried to make it as though I was asking for more than I was sold. I have been more than understanding and cooperative in this matter changing destinations request several times when asked to do so by Ms *** of Manhattan Marketing. I also would like to point out that though Ms ***'s statement stated that I first ask for a refund on 4/14 the emails show that I started asking for a refund as early as March 3(if not earlier) Another point I would like to make is that though Ms *** stated they incurred cancellation fees, I never had a reservation anywhere...there could not have been any cancellation fees related to any of my request.
I have never had such an unpleasant experience with a business in my life. I only hope that I can prevent anyone else from this experience. Since the response from Ms *** did not specifically state what she was offering, could you please relay to them that I just want my money back ASAP and for my dealings with them to be overI really appreciate your help with this matter. I am afraid I have just lost the money but hopefully this will help someone else avoid this scamthank you

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear Manhattan ***eting did not make me an offer to rectify this issueThey asked that I contact my credit card company and request a refund as I was defrauded by an associate that is no longer with their company but was an associate of Manhattan ***eting at the time of my purchaseI was provided a case number for the Culpeper VA Police department where they had filed charges against the associate claiming they sold these vacation packages and stole the moneyMy credit card company told me there is nothing they can do because the charge is over days old. I have been been trying to work something out with these people since July and all I ever get from them is one excuse after anotherI have all my contact and correspondence with them documented including emails discussing the vacation package that "I purchased from them" and that they were trying to book my vacation. As as far as their claims that the Gatlinburg location was not a location they were contracted with, I have the brochure they sent me right after my purchase showing available destinations and Gatlinburg is listed in that documentThis is just another one of their lies.

"">Mr*** contacted us and was interested in booking a vacation that he had purchasedThe package itself was an OPEN DESTINATION packageHe had stated he wanted to book GatlinburgAt the time we did not have that destination but we were working with a resort company that could offer that destination but the process was taking longer than expected as they had to separate our account from an account that was fraudulently added by a former employeeI had on several occasions explain to the Resort company that it was imperative to have this sorted out so that I could in fact book this vacationMr*** in the mean time took it upon himself to contact our current contract holder, which does not offer this destination and inquireI explained to him that I was working on trying to obtain this destination and as he wanted to travel in October there was still time to get things sorted out

Hello Mrs***,
It was a pleasure speaking with you yesterday in regards to Ms***I have included a link to the Terms and Conditions Form that Ms***
submitted as well as her response in an Excel format, which is time and date stampedWe have tried to book Ms*** at several different resort locations that we have in our inventoryShe has declined several of the resort choices that we have presented to her, and we have actually incurred cancellation charges due to this.
In her complaint she states that she would be like to be booked at the *** *** ***, which I had expressed to you was not contracted with us at the time she purchased her vacation packageIt is still so new that we have not even received graphics to add it to our website to dateYou may verify this information at www.manhattanmarketingservices.comWe have offered several options, with no successful resolution.
It does state that once the Terms and Conditions have been completed and acknowledged that All sales are finalWe were even willing to refund Ms*** as this was becoming a very unpleasant experienceShe said she did not want that and still wanted her vacation.
Ms*** called in to a CS repasking for her money back on 4/14, she was told it would be submitted for reviewAt the same time as Ms*** asked for her money back, we received the complaint which stated she still wanted her vacation. We did not process the refund, as we can not provide her with the refund and the vacationShe called in on 4/and asked for her refund againWhen she was told that we would not be able to refund until we had came to a resolution with the complaint filed with the Revdex.com, she advised the representative that, a representative from the Revdex.com had called and asked her if she received a refund. We can not accommodate Ms*** at the ** *** *** as they do not have accommodations large enough for her family, and again this resort was not even in our inventory when she purchased her package.
Ms***'s original package consisted of an Day Night package at one of our resorts as well as a $dining card to be received upon completion of the required tour as well as a 3/bonus getaway for $249.00.
Our goal is to make every clients experience exceptionalSo during the reservation process, and the problems that were arising we extended Ms*** an additional complimentary Day Night vacation in a different locationSo in total 2- 8/Vacations a $dining card and a bonus 3/getawayIt is still our goal to ensure Ms*** has an exceptional experience with our company and during her vacation.
Please let me know how to further proceed with this issue, and please also advise if you need any additional information.
Thank you in advance.

I apologize for the delay as I ended up extremely sick and just not able to access my e-mail and computer.Mr*** contacted us and was interested in booking a vacation that he had purchasedThe package itself was an OPEN DESTINATION packageHe had stated he wanted to book GatlinburgAt the

Since this he has spoke with the Owner of the company and have reached the agreement that Mr*** would contact his credit card company and give the contact information to them for the Owner to authorize the refund of the trip through the credit card company. It is my understanding that with this being done as of 9/15/that everything was in agreement with both Mr*** as well as MrBrown

In late Februry, After numerous and unsuccesful telephone calls to the 2 numbers they list I called [redacted] and complaned. A week later I recended an email which stated the week of $9 July 2016 would require an additional $425. I returned email to inquire about dates that would no require additional money from me. No Further communication from this company, they never answered the telephone.I wanted to take the all inclusive hotel trip this coming Dec. or January. My travel package expires in 2017. Regards,

Review: in 2014 I was contacted by [redacted] of Manhattan Marketing advertising a timeshare tour. I purchased a package from her that was to consist of 7 night/8 days at any of their locations. In late Dec/ early Jan I began trying to confirm reservations. I have been told several different stories and ask to change my vacation destination request several times. the last time was [redacted] at [redacted], when I finally contacted the hotel directly, they stated they were not affiliated with any company by this name. I have ask for a refund of the 249.00 that was withdrawn from my cking account when I purchased this package. Now when I attempt to call I am told that Susie is not available. I am very upset and disappointed in this .Desired Settlement: I would like a vacation for my family as purchased however I am afraid this will never happen. If the vacation can't be booked at the [redacted] at [redacted] I would like a refund.

Response:

Hello Mrs. [redacted],

Review: This company contacted us in September of 2014. We were told by their representative [redacted] we would receive a 7/6 stay in a 3 bed 3 bath resort, a 7/6 cruise or all inclusive and a 3/2 Marriott certificate plus a dining card and gift for $299. She sent all this information in writing. She also told us we had 24 months to take them. I started contacting [redacted] last spring and was told at the last minute we couldn't get accomodated because she was not able to get a return call from any of the several places she contacted. I then started speaking to [redacted] after finding out [redacted] was fired about a summer vacation and was told we could not be accommodated because of cancelling a timeshare with another company. We were not told this had anything to do with a timeshare. Contacted them again in November 2015 for a March vacation and got a call in December from [redacted] stating the reservation was complete and I would receive a confirmation email. I still have not received it. I call, text, message, and email almost everyday and get no response.Desired Settlement: I would like my $299 refunded. I feel this company is not trustworthy. [redacted] admitted the rep who sold us this package had been fired for fraud. I also contacted the resort they said they work with and was told they no longer did business with them for several reasons.

Regards,

Review: This company never returns my phone calls or emails. I purchased a package that I want to redeem and Jessyca S[redacted] responded once but now she doesnt answer the phone and I want to book my package that I rightfully paid for. There is no one else that works at this company it appears and I filled out the terms and conditions and absolutely no customer service.Desired Settlement: I want to book my vacation with a confirmation number! I also want explanations on my options. Very simple

Review: I have purchase a vacation package with Manhattan Marketing however have been unable to reach anyone to make a reservation. I was then told that the employer Suzie W[redacted] sold an illegitimate package and is pending charges for the packages she sold. I was told could receive a full refund as an result in June. I have now spoken to a Jessyca S[redacted] who has not returned any of my calls and I have not received my refund of $379.00 as of yet. I am requesting a full refund as I promised but am unable to get a hold of anyone at the company's phone number.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund of $379.00

Review: I purchased a vacation package on March 31,2015 which was to include a 6 day 5 night stateside vacation in a 2br/2ba room with a $50 Visa card and a $100 dining card as well as a 6 day 5 night all inclusive vacation for two with a $100 per person airfare credit or an 8 day 7 night cruise on [redacted] or [redacted] lines for two with $100 airfare credit per person.

I have been trying since June 16 to make a reservation for my stateside vacation in Gatlinburg Tn for a date in October. I have contacted Jessyca S[redacted] at Manhatten [redacted]etin via phone [redacted] and email on 10 different occasions which I have documented and she continued tell me she is still working on my reservation but keeps giving me excuses as to why she doesn't have them complete. She has told me that her representative that sold me this package has left the company and stole the money myself as well as other customers paid. I have since asked for a refund of my $499 and she informed me via email that if I wanted a refund to contact my credit card company and file a claim which I tried to do but it has been over 60 days so they could not file a claim. After looking them up on your website I found that they are contracted through [redacted] and [redacted] who I contacted and they said that Manhatten [redacted]eting is one of there clients but they had no record of an account for me.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund. It has gone on too long for me to trust them to fulfill the vacations I payed for. I also have two family members that purchased the same package but they have not tried to book a trip yet. Once they do, I feel they will have the same issue. At this point my only resolution would be a refund of my $499.
