I expected this response, nothing more. I see how very easy it is for attorneys to take advantage of their clients; especially when their clients are poor, uneducated, and often suffer from mental illness. I’m not really sure why Ms. Margolius felt the need to state “I did represent his mother and was quite successful”. I guess if that’s where Ms. Margolius is trying to go then I’d have to disagree. 8 or so years later my mother is still waiting on a lump sum settlement. Calling yourself quite successful in the matter is rather disingenuous and arrogant; I would call your success a mixed bag. represent his mother and was quite successful. I have attached a copy of the contract signed by his mother (with identifying information whited out). I have billed her numerous times and I am attaching the most recent invoice sent to her. I was very patient in this matter as you can see. I eventually had to turn this matter over to collection since there are only limited funds to purchase medical records for my clients and the failure of one client to pay his/her costs, hurts all my clients. Mr. R called my office demanding to speak with me. I was in Court so another attorney took the call. He was abusive, so I believe the attorney ended the call. I attempted to call Mr. R after I returned but he did not answer. I left a message. I do not have voice mail, but my phones are always answered, even at night, and messages are given to me. I regret this situation, however I recommend that Mr. R refer to his mother's contract and bills. Very truly yours, Marcia W.
