Mark East Photography

Review: Mark East was the photographer at my daughter [redacted] wedding on June 6, 2015 at [redacted] in [redacted]. I spoke to Mr. East around or about March 2015. We had a meeting and discussed him photographing my daughter's wedding. He agreed and the orignal price was 2,100.00. This was to include 2 photo albums and my daughter's wedding portrait. Later on I was talking about hiring a videographer for the wedding. He said that he was able to do that as well. I sent him a link to a wedding video that was online to show him what I wanted. He called me and said that this would be an extra $300 because he would have to have help and get some other equipment. We both agreed on this price. So now the total price was $2400.00 to include two albums, 1 wedding portrait, and 1 video. The wedding took place June 6, 2015. The only thing I have received is a canvas portrait of my daughter and her husband at the wedding. I have contacted Mr. East several times by phone, text messaging, messages on facebook through his private account, messaging through his facebook account for his business. I have also sent a message through his website. The pictures are on his website, however I have asked for rights to the pictures to download them and have not had any response. The last time I spoke to Mr. East he said he was tied up with his other job working on a project and that he had also had a hurt leg. However, he told me that his schedule would go back to normal after November 30, 2015. Our last contact was on November 13, 2015. Each time I talked to him he would promise me that he was going to meet with me a few days later and then I would not hear from him. Since he is so busy I have asked him to just please put the pictures on a thumb drive or disk along with any video footage and I would have someone else complete the work. He has not responded to this request. He has since deactivated his facebook accounts and will not respond to texts or calls.Desired Settlement: I would like my daughter's pictures and video. These are the only memories we have from that day. I did not bring a camera or a video camera. I entrusted these precious memories to him. I am very upset that he has decided that this is not important and would treat a client this way. This is very unprofessional and unexcusable. I have cancelled checks where I have paid him.
