I received a complaint [redacted].  I checked on it with my guys and we had already refunded the guy’s money.  We agreed that we had not sufficiently clarified the return policy for special order parts.  Interestingly, he apologized to my people for filing the complaint and cited that...

he was having a bad day.

Review: I recently purchased two fuel lines, one for ~$38 and another was ~$125 over the phone from Markquart Toyota.

I did not need the parts as my mechanic (not Markquart) had originally thought so I attempted to return today 04.02.15. Markquart happily took back the $38 line but informed me that my $125 line was a special order and Toyota wouldn't take that back from them so they don't do returns on special orders. That's understandable, however, at no point during my phone conversation (with a very helpful and polite gentleman) was a distinction made between ordering and "special" ordering nor that I would not be able to return it. Had that been communicated, I would not have ordered and would have asked my mechanic to be 100% certain it was needed.

When attempting to return today 04.02.15, and was told this could not be returned, I told the person doing my return that this was never communicated to me. To which I was told "it's right here on your receipt." I was very angry and said nothing further aside from thanking the person processing my return, and left.

My point to Markquart Toyota. Yes, your special order policy IS on my receipt... which did not exist until AFTER you took my money over the phone. I do not feel that their failure to communicate directly applicable policy (therefore preventing me from acting accordingly) constitutes a $125 education on my part. The burden is with Markquart Toyta and Toyota regarding the specially ordered part as a result.Desired Settlement: I would like to return to Markquart Toyota with my receipt, and $125 fuel line in hand and return for the purchase price.
