This is, perhaps, the most unreliable company on the face of the earth. It took me over 4 months for them to repair an ac unit, which was under warranty. They got paid from the manufacturer and wrote me off. I am persistent, tho, and battled until they finally made the repair. Check out all the Yelp complaints. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Review: This is one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with! They were slow in answering a service request, then finally a technician arrived to assess the problem with our refrigerator. After assessing, he indicated he needed to order some parts and would return to install them but that the refrigerator would have to be defrosted before they could complete the repair. Once the parts had arrived, they called to schedule a return visit, thereby giving us time to defrost overnight. They were an hour late and once the technician arrived he realized he had forgotten to bring the replacement parts! I suggested to the office that they send the technician back for the parts and the response from the rude staff person was "That's not going to happen"! Being that it was a Friday afternoon, they said the earliest they could return was Monday! Naturally, most of the thawed frozen food was therefore lost, costing us hundreds of dollars in wasted food. This was a contractor sent by American Home Shield, a home appliance insurance service who should have known better than to use a business with an F rating by the Revdex.com (obviously only discovered by me after the fact).Desired Settlement: Reimbursement for cost of spoiled food due to their incompetence and their unwillingness to resolve the issue when it was still possible to do so.

Review: Our rooftop refrigerator broke about a year after we purchased it. I called Mastertech (whom we were under warranty) to come out and diagnose the problem. They came out July 8th, 2013, Charged my company $99 and figured out that the compressor broke. They then ordered the compressor and told me it would come in within 2-3 weeks. 2 months later (after numerous messages left by me) I received a call that the compressor was finally in and they were sending a tech out to repair the fridge, and that he would be here before noon. No one ever showed up. The next day the technician came with the part. I showed him to the refrigerator and told him to let me know when he is finished and if there were any problems. I went up to check on him and he had already left without saying anything. I called Mastertech, no answer. The next day I call again, and they inform me that they ordered the wrong compressor and they had to order the new one which would take a few months to come in. Today, November 26th, 5 months later I receive a call from Elvia at Mastertech. Her technician came out yesterday and declared the refrigerator to be irreplaceable. Since the compressor took so long to come in the evaporator in our fridge ended up getting contaminated and it is now unable to be replaced. The compressor took so long, because they ordered the wrong one to begin with. She then gave me a number to call to resolve the issue and get the fridge replaced. I called this number and the lady I was told to call was very confused as to why Mastertech was having me contact them. She said I should not be dealing directly with them and there is nothing she can do to help, and that she never told Elvia to have me contact her. Not once throughout this whole nightmare of a process did I get a single apology. The mastertech employees almost act as if I am a huge nuisance calling in. The $99 dollar fee we paid to have the fridge diagnosed was supposed to get deducted from the services they were going to provide to fix the fridge. Which now they cant fix the fridge because they ordered the wrong part, but wont give us the money back because they still diagnosed what was wrong with the fridge.Desired Settlement: I mainly wanted to write this to try and help other people avoid the nightmare it is to work with this company. They have one star on yelp, not one person has had a positive experience from them. I have no idea how a company like this can stay in business. I would like to be refunded for the diagnosis fee, since while yes they diagnosed it, they messed up, waited too long and which caused us to have to purchase a whole new refrigerator.

Review: I have three complaints:

(1) Unreasonable time in addressing repair. - We were promised a visit between 9am and 2pm. The technician showed up at 4pm on August 8. Two repairs were to be addressed: a stove burner and a microwave support. The repair on the stove was completed on September 30 only after asking the company to address a single repair for which they had parts.

(2) The repairs resulted in additional damage - When repairing the stove, the technician made 6 inch scrapes on the right side of our stove on our previously undamaged travertine tile. I emailed on September 30th about this issue. The technician returned on October 1, wiped an oily substance on the floor, took pictures, and left. The scrapes are clearly still there. I have sent 4 emails(October 9 and October 14) since then in regards to damage and future repairs but have not received any response for the damages done.

(3) Services not performed. - A repair has yet to be made to the microwave. The company states that the part has not arrived, but I have found 3 vendors that carry the part online.Desired Settlement: I paid $100 to this company for 2 repairs. Only one repair was made, and at the cost of damage to our kitchen floor.

I request $50 (one half of monies paid) as a refund, to help pay for the parts to repair the microwave and to repair damage to the floor. Because previous Revdex.com records on this business show false promises and delayed payments of refunds, I will consider the complaint resolved if the check is received within 2 weeks.
