Review: They sold me a $68 tub of syntha 6 protein with a manufacturers defect where the paper seal was not sealed. I took it back and asked for an exchange. He didn't even want to do that but I talked him into it. I opened it in front of him and it did the same thing. I asked, "what do we do?" He said, "Now I have two opened tubs pick one" I'm like "really? This stuff tastes horrible and has been open for months" He said, "take one" I took one and left. I called him back when I got home and said, "I have been coming in there every week for five years, you and all your employees know me. I think it's wrong that you're making me take a product that was not sealed and if you can't stand by your products..." CLICK the guy hung up on me! I was speaking in a respectful calm tone of voice! This was the owner too! This is how they treat a loyal customer of 5 years? The guy could have given me my money back and made it back in a month from my continued purchases. I think this is a health hazard. Products are sealed for the consumers protection and these products are not sealed so that can't be safe for consumption. The plastic wrap on the outside of the container was intact but the paper foil seal on the lid was not sealed.Desired Settlement: I want my money back for this product. I do not feel safe consuming this opened product.

[redacted] arrived at Max Nurtition with a complaint on a product we sell, [redacted] Syntha-6. He asked what our return policy was. We only accept unopened products with a receipt. [redacted] mentioned that the Seal on the [redacted] Syntha-6 was broken inside the lid. I asked if the plastic seal on the exterior was sealed, he replied yes. I asked to see the product, which he gladly showed me. I could not find a seal error. I let [redacted] choose another bottle of [redacted] Syntha-6 as an exchange of product for the bennefit of the doubt. He cracked open the new bottle the plastic seal broke and the seal was intact under the lid. He said look this isnt sealed as well. I replied [redacted] only seals the lid and when you open it it breaks the seal. He then said the product tasted funky which I said you can take the newly opened product or the old one but either way No Reciept No refund, too which [redacted] stormed off crying victim. One of my assocites tryed the product left by [redacted] and it tasted fine to him. I am rejecting this response because: His response is not entirely accurate. He saw that the inside seal was in fact never sealed from the factory and said that there was a manufacturing defect but that theres nothing he could do about it. I said he could return it and he said he could return one but they might ask questions if he tried to return multiple items. He also never asked for a receipt, not once. He knows I bought it from him and I have a bank statement that says I bought it from him. If he wants to claim I did not buy it from him because he didn't give me a receipt as they always throw it away behind the counter then he will have no problem with me refuting the purchase with my credit card company since I didn't buy it from him because I have no receipt. He expressly exclaimed that he was surprised by the fact that the inner seal was not sealed. the outer piece of plastic was intact but the inner seal that seals the product for freshness was not sealed in any way whatsoever and he acknowledged this. I drank one scoop and got sick to my stomach. It gave me diarrhea. There are dairy products in the powder which is why it must be sealed for the consumers protection because it goes rancid otherwise just like any milk or egg product.
