McAndrews Whittaker

Review: Legal services were obtained from McAndrews Whittaker in 2011 for consultation of divorce. This request was made during the process of a pre-existing case. I received a letter from Ms. Whittaker stating she was not able to take the case. I have heard nothing from McAndrews Whittaker until 3/13/2014 stating that I owed $477. When I contacted McAndrews Whittaker, Mr. McAndrews was rude and disrespectful when asked why I had not received a bill or invoice until now. Mr McAndrews stated "well, I am sending you one now" and slammed the phone.Desired Settlement: I find these billing practices unsettling and possibly fraudulent and do not feel I should be responsible.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Although, I think that the billing practices of the firm should further be evaluated. Included in Mr McAndrews resonse he included an invoice. When comparing the line-item detail for the "Draft Agreement" he states Ms Whittaker spent 1.8 hrs working on the document but when viewing the File properties of the [redacted] document (see attachment) you will see that she only worked on the document 35 mins. I am happy this issue has been resolved and thank you for your assisantance.
