I originally went to apply for a loan through a local bank. I was, however, able to purchase my home with McGlone Mortgage. The people who work at McGlone Mortgage are very friendly and helpful. My colleague suggested to ask McGLone for a refi quote because he had a good experience with them. While I had read some not so good reviews on bankrate.com, I gave it a try and contacted [redacted] from McGloan. [redacted] was extremely courteous and great to work with throughout the entire process. I had previously financed and refinanced with BoA but McGlone just feels more “personal”:
The communication was great and I felt very comfortable using their secure online portal to upload all my documents. During the process I had a couple of questions and if I couldn’t reach [redacted] at his desk he’d usually call me back within the hour.
The single point of contact and the direct communication (both via phone and email) is so much nicer than some anonymous process at one of the big banks. This was important for me because I was travelling all the time and needed somebody to “understand” my schedule. [redacted] didn’t have a problem taking calls after hours or on the weekend.
At the end it got a little hectic to close on short-notice because we running up against the rate lock expiration but [redacted] was able to get an extension from the lender so I ended up with an awesome refinance rate, about one percent less than the rate I was quoted by BoA.
As a final comment, while McGlone is an actual lender and originated the loan, [redacted] was upfront from the first day that McGlone will “sell” the loan to another lender after the closing. This doesn’t change the terms of the loan and doesn’t really have an impact on the homeowner.

I’ve had a great experience with McGlone. I’ve struggled to close my mortgage due to high debt income ratio, but [redacted] was able to close the deal with slightly higher rate. He called about 6 months later and refinanced at much lower rate. It is also easy to communicate with them on the phone or email.

I've worked with MMC, and specifically J[redacted] twice in the past couple years on both getting my first mortgage, and refinancing. I was relentless in searching for the best rate for my loan and it ended up that MMC was answer. On top of the financial side, [redacted] was excellent in both working with me to efficiently get through the process and taking the time to explain and help me in areas I found confusing. He will be my 1st call going forward as long as he is around to facilitate mortgage lending. I would recommend him to every time of potential client.
