Review: Mcintyre's Locksmith told me that the cost would much cheaper threw them and they would not charge to program the key. A Key was order on and paid for 5/2/2014 in advance for my 2008 [redacted] car for $250.00 plus tax.

On 5/7/2014 I was called to let me know that the key had arrived and told me that I would have to bring my car & 2nd key in order for them to program new key. When I came to pick up new key the tech was not able to fully program key,and would not honer the agreement . I also put complaint to my A\E credit card to stop paymentDesired Settlement: I would like a full credit & on Credit Card and for them pay for difference that it will cost me to purchase and program from Cadillac dealer Cost for key $268.42 + $65.00 to program + tax

The customer purchased a keyless entry fob, however when programmed all options functioned appropriately with the exception of the remote start feature. Upon calling the technical service line of the company in which I purchase these fobs from, I was advised that I would have to erase all information from all existing fobs and start from ground zero. This is an hour long procedure that was not figured into the original price and risked the chance of these fobs, including the customers original/functioning fob, not functioning at all leaving the customer with not a single working fob. I presented the options of (1) returning the customers money; or (2) keeping the fob and inquiring with the automobile dealer to see if they can program the fob so all functions work properly. When the customer spoke with the automobile dealer they were not willing to program a fob purchased elsewhere, therefore the customer insisted I program it. I again explained and stressed that I did not want to chance leaving him without even his original fob, and again offered to return his money. The customer was reluctant to accept a refund and has yet to return the fob to my establishment. In conclusion, the customer has in his possession a working fob that allows him locking/unlocking/starting/driving functionality, the sole function not working is the remote start option. I would be happy to refund the customers money in full once the fob is returned to me.

I am rejecting this response because: they did not honer there promises. When I dropped off the key I told them that they should pay the different of the cost which it would cost me when. They did not refund me for the return nor pay any additional expense that would cost me to purchase key from dealer. I am very unhappy with their response
