MD Utility Finance Reviews (2)

Review: MD Utility Finance never sent a January bill. The only bill that I got was one in April indicating that I am delinquent. Not only did I get one bill in April, I got three. The letter is dated April 1, the stamp on the envelope indicates April 3rd. The bill that is sent looks fake. There is no contact information and the letter is not signed by anyone. The bill looks like any crook could have generated the document and sent it. Since there is no number for a contact, there is no one to send the complaint that the bill did not arrive. I had to call the company that I purchased my home from to find out if this was a legitimate bill.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company to improve their billing process. They should send the bill on time. They should have a contact number and should sign the letter. I want them to credit my late fee of $55.00.

I am rejecting this response because:

The complaint filed was for the 2014 invoice that was never received in 2013. I received only a letter in April indicating that I was past due on the bill. The letter received indicated that I had to pay an additional fee of $50. Upon receiving this pill I promptly paid my bill plus the late fee. The response does not address the late fee and the fact that a bill was never sent in 2013 for a payment due January 1, 2014. In addition, this business does not address the concern of sending a bill that appears to be unofficial. The letter also does not address the fact a contact number is not available to address these concerns directly. I should not be required to pay a late fee for a bill that was never received. As a business, a contact number for addressing questions and concerns should be provided as part of the bill.

Regards,

Review: The company does not provide any phone number or email means of contacting them regarding reason for billing or billing inquiries. I do not understand why I am billed and there's no way of getting more information regarding the duration of how long I will be billed or for what.Desired Settlement: Stop being billed.
