Matt is a capable contractor but has 0 concern for promises, deadlines, or even just finishing the job at all. Has basically up and vanished with our money and didn't complete the job. Very sad.

Review: MDCouts Home Improvement ([redacted]) installed a new tile floor including a new base and a new marble threshold in one of our bathrooms in April of 2013. In December 2013, we noticed that marble threshold had cracked in half and was no longer attached to the subfloor. Also, one of the tiles started moving where the grout had cracked; we noticed that the tile also had a small crack from too much movement. This effected a second tile which is now also cracked from moving. My wife let [redacted] know about he issue and he said he would repair the problem. We have a one year guarantee for the work [redacted] performed. [redacted] setup an appointment to come out but cancelled. We set up another appointment and he cancelled again. We setup a total of 4 appointments with [redacted] to come out for the repair and each time he cancelled or didn't show up. We then asked him when it would be convenient for him to come out for the repair and he said he would let us know. We contacted him again and he said he forgot but would get back to us. We waited a bit more time and contacted him again and he said he was sick. We asked him to let us know when he would be able to do the repair and he said he would get back to us again and of course he never did. In January, February, and March, my wife and I separately contacted [redacted] around 12-15 times by phone or text message to try to setup an appointment and he either did not show, did not call back, or just ignored us. I tried sending him a certified letter letting him know that we would like him to respond to us about the repair by 3/31/14 but he never responded to that even though the post office certified the letter as delivered. It is fairly clear that he has no intention of fixing our issue at this point even though we have a warranty on the work he performed. I would just like to report his business to the Revdex.com because of the poor quality of work performed and the fact that he does not honor his own warranty.Desired Settlement: I would either like the issue to be repaired or would like to be reimbursed so that I can have another contractor repair the tile. We are in the process of getting an estimate for the repairs to get an idea of how much this will cost.
