The CDI Group sincerely apologizes for the issues encountered with the One Smile Dental Plan. We pride ourselves on our fees being transparent to all members, however, in this case only one fee was provided to the member for a simple extraction.  There are several different types of...

extractions, from simple to surgical, therefore, a dollar range should have been provided to the member.  We apologize on behalf of the office for not clarifying the differences in extractions with the member.  We want to assure you that our One Smile Dental Plan website and brochure includes fees and descriptions for the different types of extractions.  Since the original complaint filed on 12/19, we have resolved the issue with the member in the following manner: 12/19 - Received email message from member requesting plan cancellation and a refund. Our representative contacted the dental office to obtain information about the case. Left email message with member that office was closed and would call back on 12/20. 12/20 – Received email from member retracting the cancellation of plan stating they were going back to the office. 12/20 - Contacted the dental office to confirm if services were used under the plan for re-billing purposes.  The office confirmed that services were used for one member only. Office informed The CDI Group that member was appreciative of office accommodating and fitting patient into their schedule that same day. 12/20 - Our representative contacted member and offered to downgrade the plan and provide a partial refund. Since a two individual plan was purchased for two years for $159, plan can be reduced to a one year individual plan for $79 and refund $80.   12/20 - Member replied by email, confirmed patient received treatment from the dental office and acknowledged refund. 12/21 - Partial refund processed, emailed member copy of receipt The CDI Group appreciates the member bringing this discrepancy to our attention. We work closely with the offices to provide feedback to ensure the plan member experience is positive. We know every interaction matters with offices and our members. It plays a role in everything we do, in every member we touch, in our relationship with every member we help.
