Melchor Roofing and Siding

Review: We hired Melchor Roofing and siding for repairs. There have been numerous problems throughout his time. He has not delivered on his promise. Originally he told us he was insured, and then came to us for $500. on April 2,because he needed to renew his insurance. According to the ATTY GENERAL website it lapsed on 04/25 and has not been renewed. He sent us text messages saying he need money because he was on back child support and would go to jail, if we didn't give him money. Unfortunately, we realized the money we gave him was not used for the barn. He also hired a dumpster and the owner of the dumpster came with the police to repo the dumpster since he did not pay him. Before the it was repoed, we notice he was using a dumpster which we paid for, for other jobs he was doing in the area. On June 11 we gave him $2500 for drywall and then another installment the following week of $2500.00 for siding, which he promised was on hold at home depot. He never came back. When we questioned his intentions he said we only paid for the drywall( which was already up) and needed more money. However we paid in installments for work to be done due to disbursements from the mortgage company. He has received approximately 16k from us so far. He has been sending threatening text messages. I have an incident report filed. He left piles of garbage and debris in my yard and barn. The work that was done doesn't add up to the amount we have given him. I have no siding, no flooring, no gutters, the walls are not finished and no deck, which was all promised. The remaining funds left are approximately 3k. It is not possible for the work promised to be completed. I have also file a complaint with the attorney general.Desired Settlement: I would like him to refund the $2500.00 for the siding that we did not receive, As well as pay for a dumpster for all the garbage and trash he left in my yard. Also, I would like him to prove that all the money that was given to him was used for our property, otherwise would like to be refunded the additional amount.
