In June 2011, I filed a complaint, in person, with Memory Hill Gardens because the headstone on my husband's grave was damaged. They assured me they would take care of it. It is now October 2013 and all that has happened is the problem continues to get much worse (now there is a gaping hole that you can sit down in), I continue to get excuses and lies but only if I contact them. They tell me "someone dropped the ball"; too much rain; takes a while to get a new marker; and today they said a marker was ordered 6/27/11 but was broken when they received it and no one ever reordered it. Once they asked me if I wanted the broken marker to stay put until they got a new one and I said yes as I didn't want an "unmarked" grave. Well, as stated above that wasn't done. The grave is unmarked and you can sit in the deep, wide hole.I find all of this unacceptable, very disturbing and traumatic. I have perpetual care for my grave sites but I sure am not getting it. This is an absolute disgrace and I want the problem fixed and the matter resolved. My mothers funeral was held through Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar. The funeral went fine but the funeral home reported my mothers social security number wrong to the Social Security Administration and had the wrong social security number on the death certificates. Real problem.","neu-1

Floral Order placed with Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Floral Shop on Nov. 2, 2013 was not delivered.I placed an order on Nov. 2, 2013 for flowers from me, my daughter and grandchildren, to be delivered for visitation and funeral of [redacted], my brother-in-law, on Nov. 4, 2013. The flowers were NOT at the funeral. (I attended the funeral.) Order total was $109.25. I did not receive a satisfactory answer on Nov. 11, 2013, when I asked why they were not delivered. I was told by [redacted] that another [redacted] funeral service was held that day and the flowers must have gone to that service. I cannot locate ANY [redacted] obituary on their website or any obits on any other website for Memphis/Bartlett area on that day or any day near that date. I was told on Nov. 11, 2013 that my credit card charge will be reversed, but has not been done at this time, and that flowers would be delivered to the [redacted] home. That also has not been done. Desired SettlementRefund of charges, and an apology in writing. There is NO way to correct the damage. As explained to the customer, we did have two [redacted] in our system. One was at Collierville Funeral Home, which is located at 534 West Poplar, Collierville, TN, 38017. We refunded her credit card on November 11, 2013, and an arrangement was sent to the family at our cost. The address that was recieved from the customer is [redacted], Germantown, TN, [redacted]. It was addressed to [redacted] and family care of the [redacted] residence. We did everything we told the customer that we would do to rectify the problem. We believed that our actions were satisfactory for the resolution of the original problem that was a mistake on our part. Credit card documentation is available upon request.
