I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The business, Mesnik Law, did not offer an action to resolve my complaint. Instead, Mr. Mesnik continued to defend the actions of his attorney and suggest I'm lying. No [redacted]er how you view our complaint, the truth is that [redacted] accepted our $5,000 retainer to be our advocate in requesting a change of custody in front of a challenging judge, knowing all the details. My husband and I were always realistic that the outcome could go in any direction. But, against our request to focus on the upcoming hearings, Ms. [redacted] decided to ONLY focus on how we should handle the case after we lost. She so easily gave up and expected us to go along with this as a strategy, and now Mr. Mesnik defends this "litigation strategy". Our interests were not represented - we were ignored and then forced to figure it out when [redacted] quit because I mentioned our concerns to her....I really wish she had that fight in her while in the courtroom. It makes me sick to my stomach to receive an invoice and I absolutely do want to avoid paying more money to a law firm that is okay with offering mediocre services, no [redacted]er the affects on the families it represents.  I've attached the final communications between Ms. [redacted] and I - it speaks volumes as to how she treated our case and how quick she was to move forward. She was intimidated by the judge and could not represent us because of her lack of confidence - that is the truth.

As attorneys we have a duty of confidentiality so we will not disclose this former client's confidential information here even though this client seems at ease publishing her family's issues online.  It is common for clients to disagree with an attorney's litigation strategy and we either work...

it out or we part ways.  As this client indicated we parted ways.  The client's account of facts in her complaint is simply not an accurate account. Unfortunately, this client was assigned to one of our most notoriously difficult judges and has chosen to take out her frustration with the system against us who worked very hard to represent her interests.  We are pleased to hear her case turned out positive and we know we had at least a little something to do with it.  However, as many people do, this client now just wants to avoid paying for the services rendered to her and which clearly benefited her. She threatened to lodge this complaint if we did not give in to her demands to reduce bill so here we are.  With the prevalence of online reviews these days many people see it as a means of extorting services or reduced bills from small business such as ours; however, it is also a wonderful venue for those wishing to leave positive and helpful comments as many many of our past clients have done for many years.  We wish this client and her family the best of luck in the future.
