Review: We hired Rabel and Assoc to handle our foreclosure proceedings with our mortgage. We were willing to do whatever it took to keep our house and they somehow got our number and offered assistance. After telling us, all we had to do was pay 3500.00 and they would stop our house from being foreclosed upon. They said they needed half the money right away, so we immediately gave them our acct number and in total in four weeks, 2250.00. Then we received a letter from our county clerk stating in less than 30 days, our house would be in short sale. We called this lawyer who said not to worry, they had been in contact with the courts but the courts said that was a lie. We have contacted the Attorney General for PA, and found out that through our current lawyer, not a penny is needed to get the courts to work with us. We are pursuing all legal means to get back our money. We did an immediate stop payment on all future payments to Rabel and the funny thing is, they didn't question it at all. Please do not go through these people. They never return calls and we are 2250 out though we are fighting it.Desired Settlement: We received absolutely no services and the court system can confirm this. We paid up front in good faith and received nothing and almost lost our house because of the lies that we're told. We deserve our money back since the services were never rendered.

The funny thing is we never received counsel from Rabel's office. When the courts in our County contacted us about the matter for which we had hired Rabel, Rabel never responded to any of our phone calls or emails. The entire reason we hired Rabel was to help us with the foreclosure matter and yet all they did was collect our money as Rabel knows. It's in Rabel's opinion that he was retained and gave us proper guidance, but he is incorrect as our visa company just shortly proved. We reported this lawyer to our visa company for fraud and was given a full refund as their investigation proved that they did not hold up their end of the bargain. We thank the Revdex.com for looking into this but this matter is closed as long as it can be noted that Rabel is shown to have not come through with his part of the agreement.

Review: We retained Michal Rabel & Associates in October of 2014 for $3000 they started off doing the job correctly but after they got their last payment of the $3000 they became unattainable we rarely heard from them and really didn't know what was going on between us and the lender [redacted] and 1 day we received a notice in the mail of foreclosure reason was lack of documents that Michael Rable & Associates were supposed to have sent [redacted] but they did not and [redacted] assumed that we did not want to do the modification any longer but that was not the truth we did not know Michael Rabel & Associates were not sending the proper paperwork to [redacted] when we tried to contact Michael Rabel & Associates the phone numbers were disconnected they had uprooted there location, and to this day we still do not know where they are or how to get in touch with the lawyer that we retained for $3000... so because they did not do their job and sending the correct paperwork we are now in foreclosure and in the fear of losing her home we would like our $3000 back for breach of contract. And we still have yet to hear anything from Michael Rable & Associates.Desired Settlement: We would just like to have a refund of our $3000 we work too hard to get that money for it to be taken away and for Michael Rable & Associates to get away with not doing their job and taking an innocent family's money.

Review: I have been working with atty [redacted] since 10/2014. I am not getting any response from them as to my Mortgage Modification. When I call and leave a message I seldom get a call back and when I do they assure me they are working on it with my lender. I send tons of e-mails with hardly and response. I have paid them in advance for what I was led to believe was help on my high mortgage payments. I now feel that I have been taken. Phone #'s are not working - calls still not being returned.

I really need to know aht is going on with my situation. My life is on hold due to them.Desired Settlement: Wanting to know the status of my modification process that has been on going since 10/2014. Can't possible take this long.

This law firm are scam artists, our money was taken (3500.00) and no services rendered, my fiance was contacted by Marc Jacobs and he was sold a pipe dream about how "he" could reduce his mortgage payments and fix our bad loan, my fiance got the modification for 2 years on his own, Atty Jacobs claimed "he" did it, not true as the modification was in the process of being finalized upon his contacting my fiancé, and ever since this firm got their retainer paid they've done nothing in the way of making the modification permanent or anything else that had been discussed, and after several attempts reaching out to the law firm regarding the "status" of his case there have been NO returned phone calls, and NO returned emails, now we have to retain another lawyer to recover our money from this one....people don't get suckered by these unethical con artists, do what we should have done RESEARCH, Google them, I'm not the only one blowing the whistle on how Michael A. Rabel & Associates have ripped off unsuspecting good people trying to save their homes. We WILL BE CONTACTING PA'S Attorney General!!!!!
