Mid State Paving

Review: We hired [redacted] in May 2014 to do a driveway sealcoating job after the rough winter. We hired him because of his warranty on his work. However, the next day after his job, we noticed there were spots that were not sealed properly and called him back so that he can fully cover the areas he missed duringng his application of the sealcoat. He told us he would be back in 2 weeks to touch it up for us. He never showed up. Called him again and he did not answer. We then tried him on another line that he did not recognize and he answered the phone. He gave us the run around (health problems, car problems, etc) saying he will be back to touch it up in a week, then its 2 weeks, then he starts not answering calls or returns messages on his phone anymore. When we tried him on another line he picks up and starts to scream and blames us for putting words in his mouth. He has not returned to finish the touch up he promised and basically the warranty and the work he performed are worthless. 2 year warranty on the contract and it hasn't been a week yet and he is already not honoring his warranty. His work was not done properly the first time and he refuses to return to fix the work done.Desired Settlement: We would like [redacted] to either come back and finish the job that he started or give us a partial refund.

I did go back to inspect his complaint there is not ant bare spots in dr. and I did answer his calls. I left card in his door, he said he did not see it. He is wrong with complaint but I will do job over because you will give me a bad reference if any calls you to get a reference of our work. And I did not make any excuses, I told him AI will look at job when I am in area He is making up stories. I will call you when I do work over for him.

The response that the business has said are not true. We tried contacting him for over a month. He only started to call us back and was willing to rectify the problem AFTER I contacted Revdex.com about his business. If we did not contact Revdex.com, he would not give us the time of day. He said he did come over and look at our driveway, but this was AFTER we contacted Revdex.com about it. The actions the business took were because of the Revdex.com complaint. He screamed at me over the phone saying it was my fault for asking him to come back and honor his warranty. Every time we called, in before we contacted Revdex.com, he would give us an excuse on why he couldn't come. First it was his his health issues then it was his car was in the shop. He tried to give us the runaround and only responded AFTER we contacted Revdex.com. Regardless of his claims, he gave us a 2 year warranty on the work and he didn't want to honor it. That in itself is a problem with the business. Also in advertisements, he uses the Revdex.com logo to make it seem like he is accredited when in fact he is not accredited according to the Revdex.com website. He is engaging in false advertising.

At this stage we have already fixed the problem ourselves and have notified the business that he does not need to come any more.
