Midtown Auto Center Reviews (5)

mr [redacted] has never come back in to resolve his complaint we never took fluid out of his transmission or broke any parts. he brought his own part that were not right he was call and asked about the truck running poor and he said he was having that problem. when a customer brings his own parts its not our falt if they dont work.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

you should have checked the parts against the originals, takes two (2) seconds, and you told me my transmission leave fluid but yet never brought it to my attention? By the way it isn't leaking. I put the quart of fluid that supposedly leaked out in. I'm having crank sensor issues. Which occurred after the clutch. Also I didn't call and tell you it was running horrible. I walked back inside the store. You said it was all good to go. So you should have noticed that it was running poorly, so that's a mistake on your part. My truck never ran the same after I brought it to you.

Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was told it was ready however it was not even running, therefore how can it be ready? Also I checked my dealership service manual and it in fact states that it is NOT a dust and actually needs to be fully seated inside, I'm also they failed to refill my transmission, had only 50% fluid in it, didn't bleed my clutch hydraulic system and did not resurface my flywheel. I'm having issues with my crankshaft position sensor now, and they broke my voltage regulator connector.

Regards,

the customer brought all his own parts for the repair. the flywheel he brought was found to be the wrong one for the truck. the part he brought was for a v8 engine his was a v6 they looked the same but were balanced different and the truck had a vibration when it was started. we had to  put the...

original back in which was more labor. the customer was told up front that there would be no warranty when you bring your own parts. the seal on the transfer case at the end of the drive shaft is a dust boot which he thinks is wrong but in fact is not wrong.I was not in the shop when he picked up the truck. my partner told me he was very rude a used very foul words & would not calm down. my partner went to call the police and the customer left the shop. we do not have to put up with customers who yell & use foul words. this all could have been handled in civil manner but the customer did not chose to. if he wants to come back and resolve the problem like an adult we will be glad to try and resolve the issue, but when you bring your own parts & they do not fit it not our responsibility.

thank you

Review: I took my dodge 1500 to midtown auto located in kingman Arizona with a clutch flywheel oil pan gasket and rear main seal, however the flywheel didn't match up and they didn't install the gasket with RTV so now it's leaking, and the vehicle barely ran however they called and said it was good to go only after I said my truck isn't running did they decide to fix it the next day so they kept it over night, next day went to pick it up and didn't have any resistance in the clutch, (didn't bleed the system) a rubber sleeve on driveshaft that slips inside transmission is way out of place, and never told me they were charging me for redoing the work had to pay another 280$ I'm very irritated with how poor and sloppy the work is not only that I had to pay AGAIN but now that more damage is going on due to them not doing the job correctlyDesired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the amount of 280$ and I would like my truck fixed properly and in a timely manner.
