Midwest Home Exteriors Reviews (14)

Midwest Home Exteriors did an exceptional job roofing my home as well as assisting with other projects that needed to be done after major hail damage to my home. I have made several referrals to this company due to the professionalism, quality, and skill of the staff. The owner was very concerned with meeting your expectations and providing you with a fair price. I felt very comfortable with their work ethic and ability to handle a large job. I would rate them a 10 out of 10.

We were pleased with the professionalism and level of work done. The crews cared for the project and our home. We did understand the delay due to the number of jobs related the hail storm.

Midwest Home Exteriors replaced old 3 layer roofing and new siding. They were prompt, professional and the results were wonderful. I had another company starting on the roof but they failed to show up and caused damage to my home. I called Midwest Home Exteriors and explained my problem and they were out the same day to evaluate the problems. He wrote a bid and we picked out roof shingles and he had a crew on the roof within the week. It looks wonderful. Would recommend them for work on your home without hesitation. I hope this helps someone who is looking for a great company.

+1

This company is about providing a quality product and giving excellent customer service. Any questions or concerns I had were dealt with quickly and in a professional manner.

Overpriced storm chaser. Does not provide estimates until they know what your insurance is paying. Free estimate provided and very friendly until they aren't awarded the job.

They were very easy to work with and the roofing crew was top notch. They left the area spotless. They're very fair in their prices. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Midwest Home Exteriors was an absolute pleasure to work with, and the workmanship was second to none.
Roof: Work started at 7, done by Noon. Excellent materials (Owens Corning), nicely done flashing, attention to detail was great. Yard was spotless afterwards as well!
Gutters: Perfect looking gutters, installed professionally.
Siding: Very nicely done, custom metal bends needed to be done, and were done professionally, on time, and looks absolutely fantastic.
All workers were courteous, professional, and prompt.
I am very happy with my experience with MHE - they go the extra mile!

James was very thorough in the review if our hail damaged rod and gutters. He came back when the insurance inspector came out and he walked through the damage to make sure everything was documented. Communication was good during the installation.

I had great service in getting a new roof on my house and outbuilding-they worked around my schedule to complete the work. The workers were fast, very efficient, neat, and professional. When the job was completed, the yard was as clean as before they started- they even went around the complete work area with magnets to get all of the nails and staples picked up and all shingle pieces were picked up. Would highly recommend this firm to everybody for all your roofing needs.

Midwest Home Exteriors evaluated hail damage to our roof and worked with our insurance company last fall. We scheduled the complete re-roofing to be done in May 2016. They just finished and everything looks good. The crew was timely, professional, courteous and did an excellent job of keeping our yard clean. The whole job only took 2 days, but they cleaned up at the end of each day. I dealt with Scott Steinbauer who handled everything start to finish, and answered any questions I had.
Very positive experience.

Midwest did a tear down on our house and garage. They came at 7 and were done cleaned up and gone by 230.Our yard was left spotless. They workers were very polite and professional. This company was easiest company I have ever dealt with. You need look no further. This is the place to use!

Review: September 2011 Medwest home Exteriors build a retaining wall and build stairs and platform leaving up to our parking area. Where the platform meets the retaining wall on two sides it is falling about. You can see where they screwed the platform to the block. I try the following dates to resolve this problem with the company: 3/23/15, James who owns the company stated that he would come and take pictures and send them to the person who build the wall and steps, never called back. On 4/13/15, James stats he is waiting to her from the company who he brought the blocks from and he get back to me. On 4/23/15 I sent [redacted] an email. [redacted] state that he never called the, but would call him. On 5/6/15 James state that next week it would be fixed. When I called James 5/20/15, he stated they didn't come and fix it. I told him no and he said he would come and take pictures. The first time I called James he said he would come out and take pictures. James has given as around from the first time I called him. I'm always calling him he never calls us to set a time to fix this wall. At this point the stars in platform is very dangerous to walk on.Desired Settlement: I want this company to fix this retaining wall and build the steps and platform the right way. If he isn't going fix it then I want him to pay the cost of someone else to fix it. There phone number is ###-###-####

I have contacted homeowner and told her I would help her out but everything is no longer under warranty so to complain about something that was done 4 years ago is crazy. Also all the problems she is having rt now is due to her using too much salt on her landing and retaining wall in which it ate at the brick and made it start breaking away.

Darrin Braun, Sale Representative came to the home last week to look at the wall to see what kind of damage has happened to the retaining wall. He asked if a sealant was put on the brick after it was build? The contractor did not seal the wall at all and he should have.[redacted]Sent from my iPad> On Jun 3, 2015, at 8:29 PM, [redacted] <[redacted]> wrote:>> I highly reject the Midwest Home Exteriors company respond.> The company knew that we would have to walk on this wall to get to our vehicles. Again I talked to the company on Monday, June 1 and was told that the wall and steps would be fixed in two weeks. Then I saw your letter in the company is stating that it is no longer under warranty. And for us to complain after four years is crazy, not once in our conversations did the company convey that message to me. In the company's response they state, that they would help us out but when I talk to them they are telling me that they are going to fix it, there's a big difference between helping us out and actually doing the work and repairing their mistake.>> This is a brick retaining wall that should last for years before it even starts falling apart and we've only had it for four years.>> It is becoming obvious that this company isn't going to do anything, they just keep telling me what they think I want to hear. I am going to give them to June 15 then I will have to hire somebody else to fix this wall.>> I truly feel that this company has taken advantage of us and charged us a great deal of money to have this retaining wall and steps built.>> Is there anything else that the Revdex.com can do our advise us at this point in time?>> Thank you for your time I greatly appreciate it.>> [redacted]

Review: The business stated that there was a lifetime warranty for the new roof and that he would transfer it given that I was planning to sell the house soon. I have twice requested the warranty and have not yet received it. Work was done 4/26/2016.Desired Settlement: Lifetime transferrable warranty
