Davis Roofing Co. installed a new roof for [redacted] on 2/13/17. Our repairman have been out to Ms. [redacted]'s home several times since the installment. Our final visit resulted in Davis Roofing Co. repairing a pre-existing issue meaning prior to Davis Roofing installing the new roof....
This resulted in removing sections of the newly installed shingles and removed the buckled plywood. The original plywood did not have plywood clips between sheeting on 16 inch center causing buckles. Davis Roofing Co. fixed this issue and then replace new shingles and installed new plywood at no charge. Davis Roofing also addressed the issue of previous roof installer prior to Davis Roofing where the ridgevent area was cut too wide. Davis Roofing Co. installed new ridge vent and seal ridge to fix this issue as well at no charge. Upon completion the customer verbally was satisfied and said she would remove the complaint @ the Revdex.com.

I am rejecting this response because:The information is inaccurate. I am not sure what upside down insulation is. The [redacted] representative [redacted] did come and was shown areas of the attic plywood that have been wet and are stained. He asked The Davis rep if they had tested the plywood for moisture and the rep stated no. Davis has in their posession photos taken of the areas in the attic that were stained the first time they were asked to come out. If you were to compare then and now you would see that the stained areas are different now which eliminates the "upside down" insulation theory. It would be impossible for enough moisture to collect in this ventilated space to penetrate fiberglass insulation and be wicked up into the plywood to stain it as it is. The house was never totally unoccupied to my knowledge.
Davis Roofing Co. rep Stevie M[redacted] as well as a rep from [redacted], our shingle supplier, went out to [redacted]'s home and inspected her roof installed by Davis Roofing. After inspection it was determined that there were no issues directly related to the roof replacement. There are no leaks as well. The only additional information that was provided to me is that Ms. [redacted]'s house sat empty for approximately 5 years and the insulation in her home was installed upside down. With this being said we feel like with the insulation being upside down is what is causing the moisture in her ceiling area. If you have any additional questions please let me know. Thank you. Due to excessive rain in our area Davis Roofing Co. has and continues to be 4+ weeks out for repairs. Our repairmen went out to Mr. [redacted]'s home 5/30/2017. At that time the repairmen installed new metal on front of 3 dormers and added 1 piece of step flashing at corners. ...
Also installed was new metal around chimney abd 3 piece step flashing. It is Davis Roofing Companie's understanding that all issues have been resolved and this complaint should be closed.
