On 4/27/the customer purchased a battery from our companyFrom our records and emails it seems it Arrived on 5/7/and was installed according to the customer that dayHe called that same day and spoke to Abe concerned about the batteryAccording to the him he took the battery for inspection and scan at the [redacted] dealershipThe dealership scan showed the battery was defectiveBy August 19th the customer had been shipped and installed a replacement packAfter weeks with the replacement the car had codes and again he had it scanned showing that the battery was damaged but most importantly that out of cylinders were misfiring and his catalytic converter needed to be replacedWhen an engine isn't functioning properly this can easily destroy a traction battery and is probably the cause of the first failure as wellOur warranty does not cover issues caused to our pack by lack of maintenance in a customer’s carWe informed him that we would not send him a replacement until he had these issues fixed (even though these issues voided the warranty)Once the mechanical issues were fixed the car was scanned again showing the battery was indeed still in need of replacementAs I have stated the mechanical issues negated his warranty (months 15k miles not unlimited as stated by customer) but we offered to fix the pack free of charge if he got the pack to our shopI understand that the customer finds this to be unreasonable but requesting financial compensation based on a warranty that was void when offered a free repair is unreasonableOur warranty has no intrinsic monetary value as noted in the warranty information section on the listing We do understand the frustration this customer suffered but we simply can not be held accountable for engine or electrical issues caused by a source other then our product that in turn damaged our batteryWe also understand that having a car scanned multiple times at $dollars per scan is a lot but this was not his only optionMany places including Falcon Hybrid offer scans for free and it was his choice to take the car there and pay $per scanIn our interactions with this customer we at every turn went above and beyond what our warranty requires and still (out of warranty) offered to fix this issue, our offer to repair the pack still stands

We have received customers report of battery failing and advised her that a replacement battery is recommended.Per the terms of the warranty, she would need to bring in the old battery for exchange for a replacement. She inquired about having us come to her house, and remove the old battery and
install the replacement. We informed her that the travel to her house and the work of removal and installation is not covered and would cost $300.She agreed to pay the $and we scheduled our tech to travel to her house and install the battery. When he was there completing the job, she refused to pay the agreed upon $for the additional work and is not covered under the warrantyOur tech was advised to leave the job incomplete until she pays. She refused to accept any phone calls or messages from us and chose to not allow us to finish the replacement job.We would be happy to complete the job of the replacement installation so long as she pays the fee she agreed upon.As far as the battery, we have delivered and installed the warranty replacement battery in her carIt will not function correctly until the technician completes the final step

I am rejecting this response because:It is in several ways based on lies:1st lie; When I bought the battery last April, their warranty was for year with unlimited miles I was well aware I normally drive more than 30,miles each year This was one of the reasons I chose Falcon Hybrid over other companies 2nd lie; The first battery was bad the day I received it It never worked from the first moment I installed it so the car could not have been the source of that battery being badThe scan I had done at *** to prove the battery was bad also showed the cylinders were misfiring and it need new spark plugs I installed new, name brand plugs before the replacement battery finally arrived in August 3rd lie; The whole idea that mechanical issues could cause premature failure of the hybrid battery is ridiculous Anyone who owns a laptop, cell phone, portable tool or any other device that has a rechargeable battery should know that regular discharging and recharging is essential to optimum battery life MrS*** at Hybrid has tried to convince me of the nonsense that "working" a rechargeable battery causes injury to the battery Fortunately, I know better I hold a degree in electronics, am a licensed electrician and a Building Systems Engineer 4th lie; When I was able to prove that the first battery was certifiably bad, I gave Falcon options, refund my money or send me a replacement battery AND RESET THE MONTH WARRANTY TO THE DAY I FINALLY RECEIVE A GOOD BATTERY Falcon accepted that condition when they sent me a new battery There were no other conditions set by either party This is just a case of a company with questionable business practices being unwilling to stand behind their defective product

Customer ordered a special battery which was built specially for his order. Notice was on the website with lead time projected. Customer received battery and decided that it was too hard to install himself and decided to find another vendor who would install it. Then he decided to complain and...

return our battery. We received it back and did not notice any problem with the battery or any reason it could not be used. Even so, we agreed to reduce the restocking fee as a courtesy to a unhappy customer. We then needed to have a technician disassemble this custom pack to be rebuilt into another type of product. Because of the fact that there was really nothing wrong with the battery and the extra work needed due to customer changing his mind about the purchase, we find the restocking fee to be fair and justified. We also charged him a reduced restocking fee of 10% in place of 25%.

I am rejecting this response because:
That not true Falcon.. Is not a good to there customer , I spent 1700.00 in six months my battery died.  I waited 3!weeks before they to fix it and they wanted to get paid before the job is done?? That they Motive sell half dead battery that died so they can replace it again with installation charges for themselves.I dont trust them, and that why I was not happy with there service .I dont want what happen to me happens again to FUTURE CUSTOMERS.
