Review: I took my 2012 income tax to Molimar. I thought that the cost could be deducted from my refunds so I did not take any payments with me. After the tax was filed I was told my income tax, originals and copies would not be released until I returned with payment. I took a few weeks to return but called periodically to let them know I was working on the $120. I returned to have my 2013 tax filed and pay and was told my 2012 could not be found. After waiting for over two hours the owner who did my taxes came out and said "Where were you? Why didn't you come back?" She took my passport again and walked back to her office where she stayed for over 20 minutes. A different lady came out and asked me to sign RIGHT HERE. I said what are these papers? She said This is your 2012 taxes." I said no its not. I already signed all the documents AND where are my original IRS W2s? Another lady came out and asked me for my 2013 taxes so she could get started on those. I said no; let them find my 2012 first. The owner was told and she came out and proceeded to argue with me immediately even though I had been completely reasonable, polite, patient and professional. She proceeded to blame me for not coming with money on the day I filed my tax. I said madam, you told me it was okay, that I should come back when I get the money. The papers that I was being asked to sign today had different numbers than the original refund, and I noticed it was 03/09/14, todays date, even though she had filed the tax weeks earlier. I was in the process of pointing these discrepancies out when she said, I dont have time for you. I have 3000 customers. I dont need your business," at which point she took the tax papers out of my hands and threw it across the counter to her assistant. She continued, "Your tax is already shredded and that's that." This is the first and only time anyone told me the fate of my 2012 taxes. I asked why I wasnt contacted by phone, email or address. The owner yelled, Me, call you? For what? In addition, this company takes advantage of the densely populated poor immigrant population in the area by charging $10.00 for a notarized page and $1.00 for a single photo copy. I was treated terribly and am now forced to contact former employers to get my income tax, a drawn out process which will prevent me from paying my Spring/Summer tuition on time.Desired Settlement: This business needs to stop over-charging the poor, mostly immigrant population, of whom, most are new to America and or the area from various Spanish-speaking countries. This business also needs to honor verbal contracts because the owner promised me that I can return at an unspecified later date with payment. And even if I didnt return the same day, which was never agreed upon, how is it appropriate for a business to shred someones original W2 forms when you have the persons address and telephone number? I was treated so terribly that I would love nothing better than to see this business closed permanently.
