BEWARE of Monarch! They misrepresent their relationship with Costco. Costco has nothing to
do with negotiations or sales. The Monarch salesman repeatedly said that Costco was dictating the price, financing, and end of the month promotional. The Costco resolution team DENIED all of these claims. The salesman wanted us to sign a contract for $26,407 that Costco REDUCED to 17,000. We had to sign a contract on Docu-sign by the next day to get the special Costco end of the month promotional! UNTRUE!!
After doing research we found we could get superior equipment at less cost at Stockdale Air and the Benchmark Lennox dealer here in Bakersfield. We reported these unethical practices to
the Monarch GM. He told me they sell the same equipment offered to us for $20,000 and keeps his installation crew busy six days a week. We then realized that this is how Monarch
Home Services always does business. We are seniors and felt we should warn others.

Chris P and his coworker responded w/i a couple of hours of calling for help. I suspected the thermostat wasn’t working as the temperature wouldn’t hold steady. When I pushed buttons, in any combination, the system worked off and on. Chris understood that we wanted a SIMPLIER unit. I long for an old mercury but those have been unavailable for decades. I had to try. He installed a MUCH easier unit. He went ahead and checked the whole unit as I was hearing a squeal as I pushed buttons. He found the Inducer Draft Motor had failed. I gave permission to replace it and I’ve been very comfortable with a warm house. Cold old ladies are hard to live with, just ask my husband.

I SEEN THEY GUYS STAND ON ASILE ADVERSTIRES FOR AC FOR YOUR HOME. SO, I MADE APPT TO SET UP WITH GUYS REP FOR MONARCH HOME AC SERVICES. IT IS VERY BIG MISTAKE I LET THEM TO LET THEM SERVICES,. THEY ARE OFFTER YOU TO BUY PROTECTON PACKAGE FOR AC AND MORE... DO NOT TRUST THEM. THE, MISLEADING CUSTOMER, AND CHARGED TO HIGH PRICE FOR REPAIR AND WHEN U CALLED THEM IT IS VERY HARD TO GET CALL BACK EVENT IT IS URGENT. THE BS MANANGER NATHAN WORK FOR THEM VERY RUDE AND BS AND UNPROFESIONIOAL . HE TOLD ME THERE ARE NOT OFFER AC UNIT SERVICE I FOR MEMBER COSTCO. ALL LIAR.

Monarch is the best! The technicians are very respectful, thorough, detail oriented when they take pictures and present their findings! When I get that phone call and it is Amber calling it brings a smile to my face! Speaking with her is so pleasant, and she gives off a vibe of “sunshine” and immediately I am placed in a positive position! She is such an awesome representative for Monarch! She is always up and always pleasant and always has the answers! I recommend this company to anyone needing this type of service.

Monarch Home Services One hour. They also go by One hour heating and air. I called Monarch and a dude in a one hour heating and air showed up to my door. When I asked him about the different name on the van he said they are changed over to Monarch because one hour heating and air is charging them too much for the franchise name.They are thieves. Tech came to my house to check out why my AC/Heater not turn on. Turned out to be a circuit breaker switch that I did not reset properly the night before. I was charged $128 for the service call even though there was nothing wrong with my system. Which I understand. Was quoted $89 over the phone, but what ever I was glad there was nothing wrong with the AC/Heater. Once the unit was back up and running the tech performed a "service" of the system which consisted of him running a water hose over my condenser coils and dusting off some parts. He then tells me I need to change my capacitor that runs my compressor motor and condenser fan motor. He tells me that part is $350 + for this capacitor. Later I found out you can buy these capacitors for between $12 and $40 tops on Amazon. He pushed this financing for this part and me not knowing the true cost of this part, I went head and charged the part so that I can have a trouble free hot summer in my home. A week later it kept bothering me how expensive this part was so I went on line and did some research only to find out how much more they had charged me. I paid $350 for a $16 part. This is out right unethical. I know companies need to make a profit, I get that, but to over charge that much for a part, amounts to deceitful and dishonest pricing. The tech had the gull to call it their " no hassle pricing," If this company is going to take advantage of their customers? DO NOT CALL THEM. I would never recommend this company to any one ever. I called the tech back this morning to ask him why he had charged me so much for a $16 capacitor. I confronted him and he said it was not his company and that he was just a tech. After I got done talking to him, I then called the main office to make a complain and they told me they would get back to me with in 72 hours. I told them that I would be returning their part if they did not make corrections to my bill. I refuse to pay $350.00 for a part I can order on Amazon for $16.00. Lets see if this company does the right thing. Will keep you all posted.
*** UPDATE***
I called Monarch regarding my issue with their charge of $358 for a $12 capacitor.
They told me someone from management would call me back within 72 hours. I called on 3/22/19 and today is 4/4/19. This is how important customers are to this company.

Went over to Monarch. The manager stated that the best he could do was to discount the part 15% so the bill would still be $304.30.
I still felt this was an insane price for a $12 part. He told me and I quote," you have to pay for our company, this is why the part is so expensive."
So I left the capacitor with their manager and called the finance company to dispute the charges."

A representative from One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning came to our home for an installation of an AC. While talking about the financing and what we qualified for, we decided to go with the PACE Program since this program did not require any money up front or a down payment. The representative of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning drew up the contract and failed to inform us that signing up or going through with the PACE Program there would be a "lien" towards our home property.

We were unaware of the lien filed on our property, until we tried to re-finance our home through Quicken Loans. It was then that we learned about the lien when a Quicken Loan Officer called us and told us that we needed to satisfy the lien amount that was on our property.

We would have not signed the contract if we had prior knowledge about the lien being placed on our home property. We would have avoided that.

Having the lien placed on our home is making difficult for us to pursue a lower interest mortgage rate.

Please advice us on what we can do about this.

This client needs to contact the PACE finance company. It most cases the PACE finance companies have a department that helps customers with the refinance of a property. We have known of several customers that have refinanced their mortgages. In regards to the lien on the property, that was disclosed to the customer in the finance documents they signed and during their call with the PACE provider. It has nothing to do with our company.Thanks

Roy and Moe were the installers for our replacement Heating & AC system. They could not have been more pleasant and efficient. We were really impressed with how conscientious they were of our property and their installation work. They took care of our home as if it was their own. We could not have asked for anyone better...they clearly explained everything they did and made sure we understood how to operate the system. We were extremely happy with their work and are thrilled with operation of our new HVAC unit!

Ozzie and Julio arrived as scheduled for our spring service. They were very professional and explained our system to us.

I had my air conditioner serviced on 10/27/17 and the next day it didn't work. I called One Hour Heating and Air and the brought a salesman with them to hard sell me into getting a new air conditioner. My mother had just died, I was having to leave town, if I bought that day I would get a 15% discount from COSTCO on the air conditioner. Then they said I needed to add this and that and this and that!! I had no idea what the cost would be because they never mentioned it, and I feel they took advantage of me knowing my mother had just died and I had to leave town to take care of her estate. They financed it with the CA HERO Program, with no payments due until November, 2018. WHEN I GOT HOME, I GOT A BILL FOR $24,505.08!!
they even charged me for HIGH EFFICIENCY DUCT REPLACEMENT WHICH THEY DIDN'T DO. I RECEIVED A LIFE INSURANCE PAYMENT FROM MY MOTHER, SO I PAID IT OFF ON 12/17/17 AND WAS STILL CHARGED $2,300 FINANCE CHARGES FOR A 60 DAY LOAN FROM THE CA HERO PROGRAM!!
I FEEL THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A 73 YEAR OLD SENIOR CITIZEN WHO HAD JUST LOST HER MOTHER AND WAS FRANTIC TO GET THE JOB DONE SO I COULD LEAVE TOWN. I HAVE NEVER, IN MY LIFE, HEARD OF AN AIR CONDITIONER COSTING $24,505.08!!!

Finance fees are not in our control. We offer several different finance companies all around the same fees and are dependent on the customers credit score. This loan is not with our company. The customer needs to reach out to the finance company directly. If there is a problem with the unit please let us know and we will be happy to come out and get it fixed!

We don't just send a salesman to a clients home. If a salesman went with the technician to the clients home its because that was requested by the client. The client had many options available to them and they choose to replace the system. There is nothing I can do at this point.

I am rejecting this response because: I DID NOT REQUEST A SALESMAN TO COME OUT TO MY HOUSE. My unit was working fine until I called for the annual service. I REQUESTED *** TO COME BACK BECAUSE AFTER HE SERVICED MY UNIT, IT DID NOT WORK. THEY PRESSURED ME TO GET A NEW ONE AND NEVER ONCE TOLD ME WHAT THE COST WOULD BE. THEY WON'T EVEN GIVE ME AN ITEMIZED LISTING OF WHAT I WAS CHARGED FOR!! I THINK *** DID SOMETHING TO MY UNIT SO IT WOULDN'T WORK AND BROUGHT THE SALESMAN WITH HIM ON HIS OWN. *** didn't even go up on to the roof to recheck my unit out on the second visit. I DID NOT REQUEST A SALESMAN TO COME TO MY HOUSE. I BELONG TO AMERICAN HOME SHIELD AND WOULD HAVE GONE THROUGH THEM SO I COULD HAVE GOTTEN SOME HELP PAYING FOR A NEW UNIT. THEY KNEW I WAS IN A BIND BECAUSE OF THE DEATH OF MY MOTHER AND KNEW I WAS UPSET AND HAD TO LEAVE TO GO TO OREGON. I TOLD THEM I DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE TO MAKE A DECISION OF SOMETHING THIS IMPORTANT ON SUCH SHORT NOTICE AND ROY STATED IF THEY BACK DATED THE CONTRACT BY ONE DAY I WOULD SAVE 15% ON THE LENNOX UNIT FROM COSTCO!!

Ernesto was exceptional in explaining his service to my hvac system, very thorough and professional. I highly recommend requesting him to service your hvac equipment.

Ernesto came to our rental property and did a very thorough job inspecting the heating/AC system, very detailed and professional job. Highly trained and efficient. Friendly and respectful, too.

Ernesto was an amazingingly well trained service representative for One Hour. He was promp, very professional and sure of what he was doing. He did a wonderful job of diagnosing our problem and finding the solution. He was very friendly and prompt and I would recommend him to anyone for the best service ever. I would give him. 10 star grade. I will request him to serve me again in the spring to check and correct issues with our A/C. Thanks to management for having him as your employee. He is a treasure!!

Cody arrived on time and was thoroughly professional and curtious! As long as One Hour has him or technicians like him we will continue using their services! Thank you Cody!

On Oct 6th 2017 *** came to our home to do the semi annunal check on our heating and air conditioner. He talked to us at length about purchasing solar and getting a new airconditioner. We told him we had already looked into all that and we weren't interested. He then proceeded to service our unit on the roof. We heard sounds from the roof like he was beating the air conditioner with a hammer.. We had not turned the unit on til recently when it started getting cold. We noticed a smell that did not go away even after we ran the unit for a while. My husband and I both stated coughing and could not stop. When I was away from the house the cough went away. My son came over on Nov 5th and I told him about the problem, he said that's normal and turned it on. My husband and I started to cough but the kicker was when our 17 year old dog started sneezing and hacking trying to get her breath. I called *** for a evaluation, the *** send us a report and pictures of the unit. He stated that the fan had only 2 blades instead of four. I believe that *** purposely broke these off, Thank you

I spoke to *** this morning and my Service Manager *** meet with her last night. A plastic fan blade is partially broken and we offered to fix that free of charge. We also offered to clean her house and duct work because she was concerned that *** got it dirty. NOTE*** While I was entering this response Mr *** called me and said he agreed that the offer to refund them $259 that they paid for a maintenance agreement and sending someone to clean their home was acceptable to them. I informed them that I would get the process started to get a house keeper out to the home asap and that I would issue a refund.

Ernesto came to our home on time and did a thorough check of my system and did the required maintenance . He was very professional and knew what he was doing.

Angel came to our home right on time. He was able to clearly explain the issue we were having with photos he took on our rooftop unit. He gave me a reasonable quote and finished his work quickly. I will use this service and Angel again.

Angel M. was the technician that provided service on this visit. He arrived on time, was extremely professional, and courteous. He explained everything he was doing in layman's terms and made everything easy to understand. He was very thorough in tracing down the cause of my air conditioner's problem. Couldn't be happier with the service he provided.

Our AC system was not shutting off after reaching proper temp or when turning off the system. My wife set an appointment up with their office staff the previous day and they were very flexible for appointment times.
Our technician was Angel. He was very knowledgeable and excellent at diagnosing our system's problem. He was very helpful in explaining our issue and steps to help prevent problems in the future. Angel was very forthright and honest. We plan to ask for him for any future HVAC needs.

We had very good experience with One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning service. The installation of the A/C unit went extremely well and the staff, Pedro & Jorge were very polite,
knowledgeable and expedient. I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

Highly recommend Ernesto from One Hour Heating and Air. He services my heating and AC for winter and summer inspections every year. My filter on my AC is a bit hard to change. He comes out every quarter to clean and change the filter. Always a professional, friendly does a fantastic job EVERY time! I not easy to please and I highly recommend having any service work done by him.
