On August 30th we hired Atlanta Peach Movers to move our belongings into their storage facilities on September 22nd for 2-monthsAfter running through everything Shalettica explained that the total cost would be $to have everything moved in vaults, $per vault per month storage and $to have everything moved back after our renovation was completeAll of this sounded very reasonable so we went with them On September 19th we received a call asking if the move was on the 20th or the 22ndApparently they had scheduled us for the 20th but all of our paper work said the 22nd so they weren't sure which day we were movingIn hindsight we should have run through everything with them at that point to confirm since a mistake like this shows the Atlanta Peach Mover offices aren't the most organized On the 22nd the movers arrived on time and were fantasticWe truly don't have a negative thing to say about anyone who actually did the workRashan and his crew were fast, professional and very friendly The problems started when I went to sign the invoice and pay my remaining balanceI noticed immediately the travel fee section it read $300, when I was initially quoted $150, thankfully Rashan was able to call in and get that mistake fixedPlease make sure you double check the invoice before they charge your credit card, a few other costs were added in for services which I had not requested or wanted, so be aware they will sneak in charges if you don't look thoroughly through the invoice The next problem came when I went to confirm the only charges remaining were the monthly storage and the $fee for everything to be returnedOver the next several phone calls we were informed it would actually be $to have all of our stuff returned and that Shalettica was mistaken when she had said $When I told Amanda that since they had possession of everything we own the reality was we had to pay whatever they wanted and all we could was leave reviews reflecting our experience I was accused of trying to blackmail the companyApparently in her eyes leaving a review that reflects the experience you have with a company is blackmail After admitting the mistake on their part they confirmed they would not be honoring the original price and were surprised we were not excited that they lowered the $for our belongings to be moved back to $(still 4x what we were originally told)Amanda also said they would be writing up Shalettica for the mistake like that was going to fix the problem in our eyesThe reality is it doesn't matter to us if she gets employee of the month or fired, we just want the price that we were told At this point I wanted a confirmation that the $would be the total amount for our belongings to be moved back into the condoI sent the first email asking for confirmation that there would not be any other surprise charges on the afternoon of the 22ndOver the next several days I called, left voicemails and emailed both Amanda and Shalettica a couple times a day trying to get confirmation there would be no additional charges outside of the storage fee and $to have everything returnedThe entire time Amanda would reply that Shalettica could confirm all of this for me and Shalettica would ignore my messagesMy guess is they were hoping if they ignored me I would just go away and they could hike the price back to $at deliveryI did not receive a confirmation from Shalettica until the 27th when I asked to have the owner contact me if they were not able to simply confirm the price When we were ready to move back into our home the ultimate irony occurredApparently our paperwork had a note that included to get payment before unloadingWe were told they normally require payment up front when an account has an outstanding balance, which we didn't, so I assume they were concerned we would do the exact same thing to them that they did to usOnce again, the people who actually did the work were fantasticI have nothing but good things to say about Kimmy (I believe that was her name) and her team I have never had an experience like this where a company admits the mistake was on their end but will not honor what was originally agreed onEven more so I am amazed that any company would accuse a customer of trying to blackmail them for reviewing their experience when to us it feels like Atlanta Peach Movers in the best light pulled a bait and switch and since they waited until they had our belongings to change the price it feels like extortionThe one good thing that came out of this experience is I have been able to warn several friends and coworkers about the extremely deceptive business practices of Atlanta Peach MoversHopefully this review can save a few more people from the experience we had

Please see my initial review in late may specifically referencing Rick the gm (who has since been fired).... here is my update...

So, its taken me a bit of time to update the review and I will move it to three stars as it was much better than what I expected it to be given all the madness prior to and up to the move. Once the GM (which Orlando finally fired) screwed up and had the professional attitude of an ant, I spoke to Orlando and he provided me with a rate that was more than acceptable and made me willing to give them a chance. Not only did he do that, he also put his Admin in charge of my move and she was more than qualified and more concerned about everything than anyone else that should have been in their position to do this job. Remember she is and admin NOT a salesperson!!!!

So given little direction, she dissected the noted and we went back and forth until EVERYTHING was spelled out to the "T". I even noticed on the move sheet they arrived with that it was noted "VIP" so she was determined to make it right. Well, that's where here job took a detour... They arrived almost two hours late. Not because of traffic but because they were sent out that morning with someone else's stuff on the truck they were using for me. Let me explain, On Sunday, as a total courtesy, they stopped by my warehouse and picked up several items to deliver with the move on Monday. Now that was smooth and went as planned. As we were "making this happen" I cant fault any errors (if any) as it wasn't a true part of the move just a favor. However, the morning of the move, I received a call at 8am stating they would be there at 9. When they realized they had the wrong truck with someone elses stuff they had to turn around on 285 and go back. Problem 1: they didn't call and when I called I was told they were stuck in traffic. Well, after 10am I knew it wasn't that and the truth came out...

SO, lets move on to the move... all went very well on the pack up. very timely and efficient. They helped with so much that I couldn't say anything went wrong. Now to the unloading, it went smooth, a bit chaotic and in my opinion if the one guy had stayed off his cell phone and helped the other three it would have been seemless. Well, that was the bigger of the issues. The only major issues that remained was that they left an item in their truck and I had to call that night for them to find it and after they finished I realized they cracked a side glass in an item. I n fact, I know exactly when it happened and it was the same guy that was on the phone that instead of moving it out of the way, bumped it trying to take two dining chairs "out of the old house" thru a tight space. As I cleared the forms with no damage, I didn't even flinch on this as I honestly didn't notice it until they were done and gone.

I spoke to the admin the following morning asking about the lost piece and within minutes they found it. Just a mistake of the crew by not stacking and folding their quilts to make sure the truck was empty. Something I am confident is a rule of the company. In fact, I can almost assure you it is a rule!

So in closing, all went ok for the most part. This was a long long road and I am confident that Orlando cares whats going on. His team (sales side) not so much!!!! His admin was absolutely wonderful and in fact went above and beyond to make the wrong right!!!!! For that I am thankful. I don't feel that with all that has happened five stars is acceptable but to go from one to three was well earned!!!

On 4/29 I reached out to their sales team and spoke to Rich and he gave me several different prices for the same requested services. He then assured me a quote by Monday afternoon. Well, Monday and Tuesday came and went and on Wednesday I received a quote from him with in fact a total different number than the first two. At that point, I decided to reach back to Orlando (the owner) and let him know there were several concerns ranging from pricing to the delay in even getting the ball rolling and scheduled. He reached back letting me know that pricing was done based on "supply and demand" but he would happily honor the price first discussed with Rich. Keep in mind he copied THREE different people and assured me a follow up from his sales team. So lets fast forward to this past week when I reached out to Orlando to let him know I still had heard nothing. I was assured that someone would reach out and again but again this didnt happen. That brings me to Saturday where it all really started going south. I called Orlando the second time in three days and I can only assume the steam was blowing his head from the tone he had when I told him I still had heard NOTHING! Well, needless to say within about 20 minutes I got a call from Melissa who introduced herself, ask what she could do. She then proceeded to tell me she would text her office cell to me as she was about to leave the office. She did in fact a couple hours later and when I called her back we spoke a moment and then ask if she could call me back as she was going in to eat. Well, once we did speak she assured me "that her moves were her baby"... (insert laugh here) because as you will see you don't take care of a kid like she obviously does. She insisted in coming out to assess the situation and I agreed even thought I know that I needed two trucks and 4 men. She pushed the issue and I said Tuesday would work. I ask to do it after the start of school and before and she offered to do it at 8am and at 2pm. neither of these accommodate that request so I suggested 10am. At that point she wanted to get the address beginning and ending and I was about to provide them when she said "hold on a minute for me to get something to write on"! What? Really? So that brings us to today... At 10:16 I happen to look down, and realized she wasn't here! So I checked my phone only to find a voice mail from her. Funny because the message said " Hi [redacted], this is Melissa and I am sitting in your driveway. I've knocked on the door and no one answered. Please give me a call if you need to reschedule..." When I promptly returned her call she informed me that she figured out that she was sitting at the house I was moving to and not my current residence. Obviously not huh?! I then took a deep breath and unloaded on her sharing that I was done! How the world could I trust their moving team to even show up the day of the move at this point and that I would be reaching out to Orlando. I hung up texted Orlando, called his cell and within minutes my phone rang. I answered thinking it was Orlando only to be greeted with another voice. This Guy asked what they could do and then made a very gracious offer trying to correct the issue. Again, I blew up, told him that I didn't trust them and I was done and once again to have Orlando call me at this point because I didn't want anything less! Finally, a few minutes later my phone rang again and it was the GM Scott. He asked what had happened and would I mind sharing my story So my thoughts were to offer him the same information and see if we were relatively on the same page. After 20 minutes of sharing the story he offered to make it VERY right and for him to facilitate the entire move personally. There was much more he said to ensure me this would be made right but I feel these tidbits should not be disclosed. I do believe he cares and will follow through with his promises. He offered to meet me at 12:30 and do the walk through and that he did. I am very uneasy and not sure if it will conclude without incident or if they will even show up but we shall see what they consider make this right means.
I reached out again today, really curious where the "make up" quote that I was promised two days ago was. ell, today when the quote was received from the General Manager who obviously did no research to have all the facts in line provided a quote of the following...He increased the initial in print quote $55.00 per hour higher this time than the price Orlando had committed to in an email two weeks ago and then give me a 25% discount for my bad experiences so far. That actually gave me a $5.00 discount per hour. Really?

At this point, I can only say I don't trust this company. I urge you as a potential customer to NOT use them.

On August 30th we hired Atlanta Peach Movers to move our belongings into their storage facilities on September 22nd for 2-3 months. After running through everything Shalettica explained that the total cost would be $1200 to have everything moved in 3 vaults, $50 per vault per month storage and $150 to have everything moved back after our renovation was complete. All of this sounded very reasonable so we went with them.

On September 19th we received a call asking if the move was on the 20th or the 22nd. Apparently they had scheduled us for the 20th but all of our paper work said the 22nd so they weren't sure which day we were moving. In hindsight we should have run through everything with them at that point to confirm since a mistake like this shows the Atlanta Peach Mover offices aren't the most organized.

On the 22nd the movers arrived on time and were fantastic. We truly don't have a negative thing to say about anyone who actually did the work. Rashan and his crew were fast, professional and very friendly.

The problems started when I went to sign the invoice and pay my remaining balance. I noticed immediately the travel fee section it read $300, when I was initially quoted $150, thankfully Rashan was able to call in and get that mistake fixed. Please make sure you double check the invoice before they charge your credit card, a few other costs were added in for services which I had not requested or wanted, so be aware they will sneak in charges if you don't look thoroughly through the invoice.

The next problem came when I went to confirm the only charges remaining were the monthly storage and the $150 fee for everything to be returned. Over the next several phone calls we were informed it would actually be $1200 to have all of our stuff returned and that Shalettica was mistaken when she had said $150. When I told Amanda that since they had possession of everything we own the reality was we had to pay whatever they wanted and all we could was leave reviews reflecting our experience I was accused of trying to blackmail the company. Apparently in her eyes leaving a review that reflects the experience you have with a company is blackmail.

After admitting the mistake on their part they confirmed they would not be honoring the original price and were surprised we were not excited that they lowered the $1200 for our belongings to be moved back to $600 (still 4x what we were originally told). Amanda also said they would be writing up Shalettica for the mistake like that was going to fix the problem in our eyes. The reality is it doesn't matter to us if she gets employee of the month or fired, we just want the price that we were told.

At this point I wanted a confirmation that the $600 would be the total amount for our belongings to be moved back into the condo. I sent the first email asking for confirmation that there would not be any other surprise charges on the afternoon of the 22nd. Over the next several days I called, left voicemails and emailed both Amanda and Shalettica a couple times a day trying to get confirmation there would be no additional charges outside of the storage fee and $600 to have everything returned. The entire time Amanda would reply that Shalettica could confirm all of this for me and Shalettica would ignore my messages. My guess is they were hoping if they ignored me I would just go away and they could hike the price back to $1200 at delivery. I did not receive a confirmation from Shalettica until the 27th when I asked to have the owner contact me if they were not able to simply confirm the price.

When we were ready to move back into our home the ultimate irony occurred. Apparently our paperwork had a note that included to get payment before unloading. We were told they normally require payment up front when an account has an outstanding balance, which we didn't, so I assume they were concerned we would do the exact same thing to them that they did to us. Once again, the people who actually did the work were fantastic. I have nothing but good things to say about Kimmy (I believe that was her name) and her team.

I have never had an experience like this where a company admits the mistake was on their end but will not honor what was originally agreed on. Even more so I am amazed that any company would accuse a customer of trying to blackmail them for reviewing their experience when to us it feels like Atlanta Peach Movers in the best light pulled a bait and switch and since they waited until they had our belongings to change the price it feels like extortion. The one good thing that came out of this experience is I have been able to warn several friends and coworkers about the extremely deceptive business practices of Atlanta Peach Movers. Hopefully this review can save a few more people from the experience we had.
