Review: I brought my truck in to be diagnosed for a noise it was making when turning the vehicle. They diagnosed the vehicle and gave me 3 options for the problem. However, they believed strongly that it was the universal joint. I explained to them that I have been in this situation before with another car repair place. They say its one problem but after you perform the work and it isn't they diagnose it as a different problem and charge you for the misdiagnosis. The clerk ASSURED me that they would not do that. He said that if they made a diagnosis that was incorrect I would not have to pay for its cost. The only reason I AGREED to have them pursue the first option is because they STRONGLY believed this would solve the problem AND he assured me I would not have to pay for a misdiagnosis. Otherwise I would have gone somewhere else. I did not sign the agreement/work order upfront to ensure that the first option succeeded before agreeing in writing to make payment. However, after he took my key I was forced to sign the work order and pay full price before being able to leave with my truck.

After the work was performed trying option one it did not correct or affect the problem at all. The problem was exactly the same after the work. He got in the car and after parking the vehicle a disagreement over payment ensued. He now completely disowned what I was originally told. After reaching to secure my key he slapped my hand away, took the key and proceeded inside. I contacted police who informed me that a complaint to the Revdex.com should be considered along with other legal remedies.Desired Settlement: I desire that they refund the labor and tax for the service. That amount is $159.80.

Review: On December 31,2014 I took my 2002 [redacted] to Moons auto shop. The car was smoking and making a loud noise. Some one had suggested to me the car needed a WATER PUMP and a TIMING BELT. I took the car to moons told the person this was suggested to me. The person came out and took a look at my car and said yes it needs a TIMING BELT, WATERPUMP, AND A HOSE. He said that he would not know for sure until he looked further into the car. He said if it needed all the parts the cost would be $642. I in return said ok and left my phone number, told him to call me. I also left a second number where I could be reached. I didnt hear anything from them so my friend called me and said someone called him on 1/2/2015 and said the timimg belt and water pump was fixed but after they fixed that and drive the car the car was running hot. They found that there was another problem and the car needed a moter I needed to pay the $642 over the phone and then they would fic the other problem at a cost of $1500. This didnt make since to me so I asked why wasnt I called before the first work was done???? If I had know that the water pump and timing belt and Hose was not the problem I would not have gotten it fixed. He says he tried to call me on 01/01/2015 at both numbers and could not reach me BUT he fixed it anyway. Then he said he found another problem. I am very upset and this repair shop is taking advantage. he says he will give me a discount with a cost of 1200 but I have to pay the 642 as well. This would bring the total to $1842. If I was called before the first work was done I would not have gotten the car fix if I knew there were more repairs that were needed.Desired Settlement: For the repairs of my car to be completed however the $642 I should not have to pay PLUS $1200 more. My total shold be $1200 not $1800. I asked to come remove my things fromn the car and was told No not until I pay.

Review: I took my 2001 [redacted] to Moon's Auto Service Center to get my transmission repaired. After checking my car, it was said that I needed another transmission. They ask "Do I have a transmission or will I have them get the transmission?" I told them that I will check around to see if I could get one at a good price. Two days later, I went back to the Service Center to tell them to go ahead and get a transmission and start the repair, because I decided to just let them take care of everything. They said that it will be $1,315 for the transmission and $850 to install... all in all, $2,253.90,plus the cost of the transmission fluid that it need. I brought 15 bottles of transmission fluid (after calling the [redacted] dealer to see how many the car needed) and took it to the shop so that they could start the repairs, also gave them a deposit of $1,550 on 8/29/14. I went back to check on the car Friday September 5, 2014 and they said that the car was ready. I told them that I would come back tomorrow to pick the car up the next day because my fiancee was going to loan me the rest of the money. My fiancee and I returned the next day (9/6/14) and she charged the remaining $700 to her card. We got the receipt and keys as we asked a few questions about the warranty and possible issues due to spending so much money for the repairs. He said if anything go wrong, just bring it back and they will take care of it. When I got in the car, there were 8 bottles of transmission fluid in the back on the floor. I started to wonder why didn't they use the amount of fluid that the car required (As said by the [redacted] dealer)

As I was driving the car home, I notice that the car had a jerk every time I put on brakes to slow down. I parked the car at my house. We took it back the following business day, and explain to them about the issue. They said that they will take care of it. When I went back to check on the car, they kept telling me that they haven't test drove it yet because they been so busy. The final time I went back, the guy at the desk told me that they acknowledge the problem, but it only happen when you slow down. I told him that I wasn't satisfied with that and I wanted it done right. He said that he can get another transmission that would still be covered by the 90 day warranty that it was still under, but I would have to pay half ($450) to put it in. I told him that I would not paying them twice to do a job that they suppose to have repaired the first time. He said that he would talk to the owner later that evening to see what he say about it, and for me to come back the next day. I came back the next day, and he said that he talk to the owner and that I had two options... to take the car and drive it to see if the jerking stop after awhile, if not bring it back and they will get another transmission and put it in, but I have to pay ($850) to get it installed, or they will just go ahead and just get another transmission and put it in and I pay the $850 to get it installed. I don't feel that I should have to be forced to settle for an unsatisfied /bad repair or pay for a repair twice for a defected part that Moon's Auto Service Center order and installed. Thats not how business suppose to work in America.Desired Settlement: I would like for my car to be repaired correctly in a timely matter (because they have had it too long), and at no extra charge as it has already been paid for in full ($2,253.90) to be repaired, or replaced with the original parts and my money back so that I can take it to somewhere that can do the job right without trying to rip me off.

Review: During the week of December 16, 2013, I took my vehicle (1998 [redacted] MPV) to Moon's Auto Center for timing belt and water pump replacement. On December 18, 2013, I picked up my car from the establishment, and paid $382.00 (in cash) for the repair and labor fees. The next morning while getting gas at a filling station, I noticed a significant leak coming from underneath the front of my vehicle. I could not tell from what part of the engine but without a doubt it was from my vehicle, because it continued to drip as I continued my visual inspection. Immediately, I called [redacted] (Moon's Auto Center, representative) and notified him of the leak, and advised him of my intention to return the vehicle for inspection. He agreed; this was December 19, 2013. On December 20, 2013, I received a call from [redacted] of Moon's Auto Center, stating that my vehicle had an upper radiator hose leak and that he would fix it for $85.00. I knew for sure that there was no upper radiator hose leak when I put my car in the shop, and so did they I can assume, because any practical mechanic would not replace a water pump without making sure that there are no leaks dealing with that system, before and after repair. I explained to [redacted] that this problem was not present when I initially put my car in the shop, and he said that he would figure something out to correct this problem, then contact me shortly. I continued to explain to [redacted] that I should not have to pay for a mistake on their part; because that hose has to be removed during timing and water pump replacement, and furthermore, they returned it to me in that condition, so my argument that the leak was not present during the time that I initially put the car in the shop is seemingly valid, for the most part because they returned the car to me in this state. The time that [redacted] would take to figure out a remedy would be approximately one month. One month to replace an upper radiator hose which can be readily found at most auto parts stores or dealer's parts departments. My car also sat in their auto shop for that duration of time causing me to expend more money in order to get to and from work, and making it difficult for me to continue residual obligations. Henceforth, I finally went to pick up my car on January 15, 2014, and to no surprise, there was an additional leak, this time, in a totally different area of the engine. [redacted] (Moon's Auto Center) told me that they would fix this second leak free of charge, but I would have to pay $85.00 for the previous leak; neither of which were present when I initially put my car in the shop. In essence, on January 16, 2014, I ended up paying the $85.00 fee to retrieve my vehicle, due to the advice of a mechanic friend of a relative. I feel that I have been placed under duress by this auto repair shop, and I feel that something has to be done so that no other consumer is treated in such a fashion. I implore you to assist me in this matter, and I appreciate your consideration.

Regards,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the $85.00 that was later charged to be refunded to me, sent to me through the mail in the form of a check.
