In response to Mrs [redacted] claim against us here at Branson Mobility we have a signed contract stating she is responsible for any damages to the equipment she had rented. And in this case Mrs [redacted] did indeed leave the scooter apart and...
plugged in at her room. However when we picked up the scooter from the hotel lobby it was still in pieces and we went to assemble the scooter and found the charger had been broken right where it was connected to the battery case.
The hotel she stayed at gave us a call to pick up this scooter because they found it in the hotel room in pieces and didn't know who it belonged too until they saw our name on it and gave us a call. Mrs [redacted] did not take the scooter down to the lobby as they agreed too when the scooter was dropped off, the hotel is not responsible for her rental and she signed the agreement on it agreeing she would be responsible for it.
This particular charger connection had the end broken off where the charging ports were exposed and could shock and harm another guest if used again. This scooter is new and was left for us in poor conditions with scratches on the painted panels ( Normal wear and tear ) which we do not charge for because of the nature of the rental business.
Branson Mobility had to charge Mrs [redacted] the $[redacted] to replace the factory charging unit because it would take that scooter of of service without it and were not in business to let people break our equipment and let us pay for their lack of care of our equipment.
We are a christian family owned business and we are coming up on our 10th year March 2017, and this is only our second complaint! We strive and work very hard to keep the newest and cleanest equipment available to our customers. Not to mention the safest so we could not let this one go with a bad charger with a shock hazard.
