Mr. Handyman of The Woodlands Reviews (3)

[redacted], as we previously discussed, one of the issues that our technician discovered with the dryer was the high limit switch was tripping because the dryer vent was clogged.  There was an extreme amount of lint in the dryer vent system and our technician cleaned out the dryer outlet and the...

vent.  Most issues related to dryers not getting hot enough for drying clothes is because the dryer vent system needs to be cleaned. Based on what our technician observed, the dryer limit switch was no longer tripping and the dryer appeared to be working properly.  When you called back stating that your dryer was not drying properly, I told you I could recommend an appliance repair company for you to contact since there was obviously another issue going on with the dryer and was beyond the expertise of any of our technicians on staff.  We only charged you for the work we performed.  As stated earlier the dryer vent was clogged and had to be cleaned.  As for the table and chairs, our technician obviously mis-understood you.  He noticed the chairs legs were loose and he adjusted them.  We offered to send him back to tighten the table at no charge.

I checked the note log in our system.  On April 16th, the technician replaced the door bell button.  On June 27th, the technician made an adjustment on the chime for the doorbell.  We did not consider this a warranty because we replaced the button, the chime was not part of the original repair on April 16th.  Total time spent on the adjustment to the chime was about 5 minutes, but again we do not consider it a warranty.  Upon looking at the note log for your account, I saw an entry made by one of our customer service representatives on June 30th stating Ms. [redacted] called stating that her kitchen chairs were tightened but not the table and the dryer is still not working.  On the same call she asked that we send her a new invoice removing the remarks about the dryer lint.  I just confirmed that conversation with our customer service representative who spoke to Ms. [redacted]. Our customer service representative (CSR) was unclear as to the reason why she wanted these comments removed, but our CSR said it was company policy not to make revisions to job tickets after they have been signed and submitted for processing.  Perhaps Ms. [redacted] can provide reason wht=y she wanted those remarks removed from the invoice.  Our technician acted responsibly and we feel that the charges to Ms. [redacted] for the services provided were justified.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

Regards,
The owner is dishonest in his response. Firstly I had to leave for work so I signed the document before the work was done. That was my mistake.  I assumed this company would be honest in their work. Secondly the dryer was getting very hot this wasn't an issue. -He is ignoring charging me time for fixing the doorbell his company previously installed. -He is justifying charging for work that I didn't ask for lint removal and fixing chairs instead of the table.-I was charged $378 for lint removal, fixing a doorbell they shouldn't have recharged me for, fixing a screen and tightening four chairs (which I never asked for).
