I have received the notice regarding complaint [redacted] filed by Ms [redacted]. We initially were contacted by [redacted] to come and clean her air ducts due to buildup of dust in home and to clean her dryer vent because...

her dryer was not drying properly. On the date of service 11/19/14 it was discovered that there was an obstruction of some sort in her dryer vent and we were not able to clean it. I discussed this with [redacted] and informed her that we do not repair vent systems we only clean them and since there was an obstruction we were not able to clean it. The dryer vent was never cleaned and she was not charged for the dryer vent cleaning. We did clean her air ducts and discussed all work with her she then signed off on the invoice stating that all work that was completed was satisfactory.
We will not be reimbursing the charges or the cost to repair her dryer vent as the dryer vent was obstructed before we came to the home and we simply informed [redacted] that we could not clean it due to the obstruction. In addition she signed off that the air duct cleaning was satisfactory so there is no reason to reimburse the air duct cleaning charges.

Given that the air duct cleaning was completed, and my 88 year old mother was not charged for the dryer vent cleaning, I will concede to the $219.00 charge. However, during the Top Dog Cleaning Crew service, the dryer vent broke loose from pipe in ceiling and pipe got wedged against floor joist. Since Top Dog does not FIX or provided a reference for "service", I feel they still owe for the repairs from their poor service performance. I do not believe they mentioned an obstruction to my mother as she would have said something and asked who to call. She called Top Dog minimally 3 times to come back out because her dryer still did not work. I was there on one occasion with Andrew and helper, and an obstruction was NEVER mentioned. Andrew claimed the gas on/off switch near the floor of the dryer was turned off and my mother should call a dryer repairman. After the dryer was replaced, there was no gas on/off switch where he said it was. His patronizing and sarcastic attitude towards the situation and comments made to my mother were uncalled for and does not make a good service professional. Therefore, the repair costs of $585.00 from another vendor need to be reimbursed in order for this complaint to be satisfied.
