Muscle Connection

I am in sales and as a result may tend to be critical of other sales people and the business's they represent. I found Muscle Connection while researching home gym equipment. I had found another retail gym equipment company that sold competing brands that I also was interested in seeing. I live in Pittsburgh, Pa and both Muscle Connection and the other store are in eastern Ohio. My first stop was to the competitors store. They are about forty minutes from Muscle Connection. The person that I spoke with was nice, knew his product but had a hint of the pushy salesperson in him that I myself do not like. He explained the differences between the brands that he represents and I tried each of the gyms that I was interested in. While I found two gyms that I was going to keep on my list of potential purchases I was uncertain of their build quality. I bid that store goodbye and headed to Muscle Connection. I walked into their store and found a well laid out floor plan that was more comfortable than that of the competitors. Muscle Connection carries the Hoist brand of equipment as well as one other brand I believe. They are clearly showcasing the Hoist equipment as it makes up over ninety nine percent of their home gym equipment. I currently owned a Hoist home gym and as I had said previously I was researching different gym manufactures. I first spoke with [redacted], he is knowledgable and low key in his approach to customers. I looked at the various models of Hoist gyms as well as their other line. The Hoist gym equipment was, in my opinion, superior in quality to all of the other lines that I had seen at the other store as well as the other brand that Muscle Connection sells. I discussed my needs with [redacted] and added the Hoist brochures to my growing collection as well as some new Olympic plates and headed home. I was no longer interested in the other gyms that I had been researching. Told my wife of my choice and why and emailed [redacted] a day or so later. I provided him with the items that I was interested in. He emailed me back with prices as per my request. I also made a follow up call and was introduced to the owner of the company [redacted]. I drove back to Ohio a week later and met [redacted] and again met with [redacted]. Placed my order and left the store feeling upbeat about both my purchase and the people that I was dealing with. Two weeks later, an agreed upon date, two employees of Muscle Connection delivered and set up the equipment in our basement. They could not have been nicer or more professional. All around excellent experience.
