My First Montessori Reviews (1)

Review: My daughter [redacted] used to go to the day care (My First Montessori) for 3 days/weekShe got very sick and had high fever (105) in the first week of November, 2013. The day care contacted us, we took [redacted] to the ER where she was seen by the doctor and diagnosed with pneumonia after doing X-ray on her lungs A week before, [redacted] went to the doctor for regular check up, and the doctor indicated that she has an excellent health and doesn't has any medical problems [redacted] stayed under antibiotic for 7 days and had high fever for 5 daysBoth father and mother didn't work for a week to take care of [redacted], especially the mother is pregnant and has medical problemsThe ER doctor confirmed that the pneumonia is a contagious and for sure she got it from the day careHer doctor in [redacted] Medical Group also indicated that [redacted] was in a very good health and she got the pneumonia from the day careI considered the day care is totally responsible about the illness of [redacted], because of the lack in monitoring the health conditions, cleaning, and taking quick actions in case of illness (The doctor was surprised that they didn't even give Tylenol which is known for everybody it is recommended in case of high fever) [redacted] could not go in the second week to the day care because of her illness and we (parents) could not work or do anything because of [redacted]s illnessDesired Settlement: I considered the day care totally responsible about the illness of [redacted], and asking the refund of the amount of $ 3684

Dear Revdex.com,

Please accept this letter as a response to the recent concern that was submitted by one of our clients

regarding his daughter's illness. (ID [redacted] -

On November 7, 2013 at about 1:10pm, his daughter came down with a fever. Anytime a child in our

care has a fever, we call the parents immediately to notify them that their child needs to be picked up,

and we separate the child from the class. We took these measures as soon as she began to have the

fever. We made three separate calls to the parents notifying them that the fever was climbing. We do

not give medication to any child unless provided by the parent with written permission to administer

medication in our school. The child did not have any medication authorized by the parent left at school

at the time of her illness, and the parent was reminded of this fact when the initial call was made

alerting them of her fever. During the time that she was in our care waiting for pick up, we were able to

bring her fever down with cool, damp compresses and ice until her parents picked up at 2:53pm.

We take pride in maintaining a safe and clean environment for all children in our care. We take the

precaution of separating ill children and requiring children who have symptoms of any illness to remain

home until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours. Furthermore, we sanitize materials in the

classroom daily. We also have the children wash their hands before and after meals, after using the

restroom, and after playing outside on the playgrounds. Nonetheless, we admit that children still

manage to spread germs, especially from child to child contact, no matter how many precautions we

take. It is not our place to argue with a doctor about where she picked up the illness that caused her to

become ill, because that is something that cannot be determined. Yes, it is possible that she picked it up

at our school, but it is also just as possible that she picked it up from other environments (family,

grocery store, park, friends, etc).

It is unfortunate that our client's child came down with an illness that developed into pneumonia. We

have expressed to the client our deepest sympathies and have wished them good health and fortunes

for the future. Still, we feel that we have taken all preventative measures possible to prevent such

illnesses from spreading, and we have provided all services that were agreed upon when the child first

enrolled in our program. We find no error in our methods and feel that there was nothing more that we

could do to prevent his daughter from the illness that was presented.

Best regards,

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Hello [redacted]

Yes, the other person is my wife!

I am really surprised, why do I have to pay for service that I didn't get? why do I have to pay for bad service? why careless people always have excuses and use the law to trick customers.

I am still asking for the refund for $ 860 that was paid in month of November,2013 which went for bad service and also for services that never provided to my daughter simply because she was at home getting treatment.

Should you have any question call me @ ###-###-####
