Review: Car was towed and when I attempted to find where my car was the information wasn't readily avaiable. When it finally was they told me it was at [redacted] which was the wrong address causing me to waste time and money on a taxi which ended up costing around 90 dollars (1st location was in [redacted], correct location was Fullerton). When I called they denied ever giving me that address. I also was belittled, cursed at, and hung up on multiple times when trying to find the actual address. When finally arriving at the correct location I talked to other people waiting for their cars who had also gone through the same experience I went through. I waited 20 minutes for anyone to even start the process of getting my car out and another 40 until my car was even given back to me.Desired Settlement: Reimbursal of the 90 I spent on a taxi. I would also like to be refunded the 345 I had to pay to retrieve my car, or at least the lowered fee of 270

Review: This company towed and impounded my car against the policy of the property owner. They then proceeded to make us wait outside in the rain for over two hours before releasing the car. We were ready willing and able to pay the very unreasonable $345 fee they demanded for release.Desired Settlement: Refund the $345 we paid to get our car out of impound

Review: I parked my car in front of my garage of my apartment complex, where I always park it as I open the garage door. There is a red zone in front of all garages. I left my key in my apartment so I took my groceries down and went to get my garage key. No more than 5min later I had the key and was going outside. I heard the tow truck and started yelling that I am a resident and I had was getting my car. He proceeded to hook up my car without even getting down and locked it. I went to his window where he demanded cash and I told him I didn't have what he wanted. He began to drive off and I ran up to him asking him to let my car go. He demanded another amount of money and in desperation to keep my car I gave it to him. He let it go and put the money in his pocket. He took $50 cash.Desired Settlement: Refund.

Review: My car had been towed from the complex I live in. I was informed by the police department it had been towed and was given the name of the company and the number. After several calls and googling another number to reach them at we kept getting the same message; All circuits are busy. For about 20 minutes we dialed two different numbers to contact them and the line would either ring busy, or we would get that message and it would hang up. After multiple hang ups we decided to drive over to the business in hopes that someone would be there. We arrive and there wasn't anyone there to help us. From the entrance of the building there is a very visible ladder that allows you to climb over to the other side of the fence where all the cars are that have been towed. Next to the fence, there is a sign that says that all items stolen/missing from vehicles is not the responsibility of Night Star Towing. This immediately raised MANY flags as now not only was my car clearly not being watched, but there was a ladder for anyone to climb over and steal from my car! After several hours, we finally are able to reach someone and he tells us he will be there in one hour to pick up the car. Upon arrival, the employee that assisted us kept pushing for us to pay with cash, even though there is a sign that states that they take credit cards. We knew he wanted us to pay cash so he can pocket it but we continued to tell him we did not want to pay with cash and handed him the credit card. He took the credit card and pretended to attempt to run the card. After a few minutes he said, "the card isn't going through", which my wife and I knew was false because we have a low balance on a very high credit card limit. The employee again tried to persuade us to pay with cash and we again, declined. My wife checked the credit card online and there was never an attempt to run the card. We gave him another card to run and only then did he turn on the laptop and attempt to run the card, which did go through.Desired Settlement: We were very uncomfortable with the entire process of how this employee handled our situation. After checking reviews it when we got home, we read about how this has happened to many people with Night Star Towing. I do not want a call from them or any sort of attempt on an apology. I thought the Revdex.com should be aware of this type of inappropriate behavior by an employee as it was VERY uncomfortable to repeatedly tell him that we did not want to pay with cash.

Review: the company was supposed to refund me the credit card transaction of 337 dollars that they charged because we paid them cash. They never refunded the money back to me.Desired Settlement: I want my refund of 337 dollars

Review: On the morning of Sunday Dec 22, 2013, my daughter had her car towed from a [redacted]'s parking lot in the city of Fullerton. After picking up the vehicle release form from the Fullerton PD we headed over to Night Star Towing to pick up her car. As we waited for the Night Star Towing employee named [redacted] to open the door I noticed the towing fee for the city of Fullerton was $137. Night Star Towing's prices and fees are clearly posted on the front window. When [redacted] finally opened the door, we showed him all the necessary paper work to retrieve our car, the Police release form, proper ID etc., [redacted] mentioned the fee to get our car back would be $202. When I asked [redacted] why we were being charged so much, he simply said "Read the sign sir". I replied that I was reading the sign & it mentioned $137 not $202. [redacted] then rudely mentioned the additional $65 fee was the Special Equipment fee for a "Dolly" that was used.I paid the $202 fee Night Star Towing was charging and waited for [redacted] to retrieve my daughter's car. As we were waiting I noticed on Night Star Towing's Retrieval Information Form that [redacted] filled out (form # 0655), under Special Equipment section, "Go Jacks" was checked, and not "Dolly". I went back to look at the pricing list and noticed the Go Jacks Special Equipment pricing is $37. However I was charged $65 for a Dolly Special equipment. When I brought up the pricing discrepancy to [redacted], rather than offering to refund the $28 he overcharged me, he wanted to alter an already signed receipt to reflect the equipment that was allegedly used. I refused to have the receipt changed and I refused to have the receipt re-done. The form that was signed is clearly marked by [redacted] that Go Jacks were used.As I was walking away, the Night Star Towing employee continued bad mouthing me and at one point indicated I should just "take it like a man". Is this how a professional business is operating in the city of Fullerton?Desired Settlement: I expect to paid what is listed on the receipt/invoice and will not accept being overcharged. Again, Tow Star Employee [redacted] filled out the form himself. He clearly marked that Go Jacks were used, however Tow Star overcharged me by $28 and refused to do anything about this. I expect a refund of the amount I was overcharged. I understand this is a towing business and customer service may not be the priority here, but there still needs to be some level or professionalism and respect to the cust.

Review: This company illegally towed my car under a false premise of customer parking only while shops were still open. In addition to towing charges a charge was added for labor which was described as repositioning the car to prepare it for towing. Storage fees charged were double the average charge. Two days of constructive fees for storage during days of business closure. Threatened with after hours fee for picking up vehicle during non business hours (weekends). This led to two additional days of storage.Desired Settlement: Refund of $405 fees charged.

Review: The company towed my car, and when I called to find out where to get my car from the man was rude. He also swore at me put me down and hung up on me twice. When I was finally given an address it was fifty miles out of my way and wrong. Finally get the right address and nobody is there. They stayee gone until after midnight, charged an extra day and stole my laptop.Desired Settlement: A refund of all charges and the cost of my laptop reimbursed.

Review: On Feb. 13, 2015 my Ford F-150 Truck was towed by Night Star Towing company. Night Star Towing company damage my shifting gears, making my truck unsafe to drive. [redacted], the owner told my daughter that the guy towing the truck didn't know what he was doing. That he will reimburse her for the damages. I call Night Star Towing right away and spoke to [redacted], the owner of the business. He told me that he will pay for the damages just to let him know what the cost was. I paid for the repairs out of my own money. (Repairs fixed on 2/23/15). I took care of it as soon as I could. I was told by my mechanic that it was very dangerous for myself to drive my truck like that with the damage the shifting gears. I email (on 3-27-15), [redacted] the Invoice of the cost repairs. I did not hear back from him so I call him. He said he didn't received anything so I re-email him again on 3-30-15, again no respond from the email. I call him to verified if he got my email and he said Yes (3-31-15). April 14, 2015, I have not received any reimbursement check through the mail. I call [redacted] and told him I have not received anything, he told me he didn't understand why because it was send out on 4-6-15. As of today April 27, 2015 I have not received any reimbursement. I email him another email on 4-17-15 telling him that I will report him to the Revdex.com if I don't get reimbursed.Desired Settlement: Night Star Towing Company was Negligence in how my truck was towed. They damage it in the process. I have been patience and have taken he's word ([redacted] the Owner) for what he's has acknowledge that he's employee had damage my truck. I feel that he has no intention to reimburse me. I had to take a whole day off work to get it fix. I would like to get that reimburse also. Total reimburse in the amount of $422.35.

Review: I live in Crestmont mobile home park, I parked my car in front of my house to unload 6 MDF boards that are 16 feet long and other home improvement materials. I couldn't pull up into my driveway because the boards were sticking out of my front window. My 10 year old daughter was helping me put the materials away in the house when they came and towed (I personally feel like they stole my car) my car away. I feel like this company is a scam. They constantly ride around the mobile home park looking for their next victim. I know they are in it just to make money but they should have some moral responsibility, maybe they should give a courtesy honk to let the car owner know that they are there and are about to tow the person's car. This mobile home park has a lot of elderly and low income people, it's not fair how they practice their business. This company and their associated company Federal Towing should be investigated.Desired Settlement: I want my money back and also I want them to change their way of business. They should at least give a person a courtesy honk or something. They need to stop preying on people!
