Don’t buy anything from these people run
We need to come together and protest together and file suite this company is some crooks they lie cheat I purchased a car in 2016 and could not afford to pay I voluntarily gave my truck back a 2014 and they still came after me for eleven thousand the car is 19 years old and they sold the car at action 7 years later they garnishing my check even though they not getting another dollar I’m switching jobs but something needs to be done va beach court show favoritism Terrell tire and let them get away with it he say yeah join forces with me as I flight back in court do they got a with my lawyer and yeah a new judge. Run from this company on don’t waste of food your time I’m going though a hardship my wife just got a kidney transplant and I wrote the company explaining my hardship they disregard my letter if I could give this company a zero I would . If you in leave your contact information . They lie bad but Karma that part

DONT EVER BUY A CAR THROUGH THEM
This is hands down the worst car loan company. They will do shady stuff. They will lie they will tow and repo your car and bring it back just to show you they know where you leave. Manager is rude and arrogant. Disrespectful. This company shouldn't even exist. Don't do business with them. Don't buy a car through them. They are very bad company

We were specifically told by the branch manager he had the vehicle checked by a certified mechanic and it was good and had no major issues. We purchased a 2003 Ford Escape at the Bristol location directly from the branch manager. During our inspection of the vehicle he told my wife and I that he had the vehicle checked by a certified mechanic he often uses and the vehicle had no major issues the interior on the doors was peeling and he said that was all they could find wrong with it. We trusted his word and that we could purchase the vehicle for my wife and three small children to be safe in and rely on. I drove the vehicle to work one time less than 36 miles. The next day took the car to go to the grocery and was literally stranded as the transmission in the car went out no gears whatsoever. After being stranded and having the car towed it was checked and after contacting the branch manager and he said it was ours and they would not help other than increase our loan to cover the repair cost of 1500.00 to 2000.00 all the shift sensors see changed and still would not move. After in depth investigation it was determined the car had a additive added to the transmission to allow it to run long enough to sell which has been drained and replaced and I have it stored in a container to show proof of what has been done. After making the branch manager aware he still said they would not help or take any action to make it right other than increase our loan. All we asked for was to cancel the deal and take the car back and not leave us with a vehicle sold to us as good and it has a major mechanical issue and is disabled. We drove less than 40 miles and have a mechanically disabled vehicle and a loan we have to pay also. They are holding my title to a vehicle I own as collateral. I had the vehicle taken to their office after it was diagnosed informed the branch manager. Filed a formal complaint with the corprate office have called twice and still have no attempt on their part to "do the right thing" by us. Not only is this a poor business practice but is also deceptive sales practices. We never even got to make a payment. Again within 40 MILES of getting it home the vehicle had a MAJOR MECHANICAL FAILURE AND WAS SOLD AS INSPECTED AND GOOD BY A CERTIFIED MECHANIC. I have never in my life seen a better example of getting taken on a car deal. I expect the company to cancel the loan they have the vehicle and Mail my title to the vehicle I own that they are holding as collateral on a vehicle that should have never been sold unless at a mechanically disabled action sale. Why would anyone pay this much for a vehicle after they find out the car should have never been sold. Now we are expected to pay for it. That's not right by any business practice.Desired SettlementYou have the vehicle in your possession. I paid to tow it home once then to your office in Bristol tn. We drove the car 40 miles. Cancel the contract and send me the title to the car I owned already and that is the right thing to do. We did nothing to deserve this. And then to say you would increase our loan to pay for the whole transmission to be replaced is offensive and not right in any way.Business Response Our customer purchased a repossession with 200k miles on it for only $2999. The car was sold at that price due to the mileage. The manager told our customer that the vehicle could last a day or years with that kind of mileage on it This vehicle was sold "as is" and the customer signed the bill of sale acknowledging this. We had no knowledge that the transmission was going to go. It would not make sense for us to finance an automobile that we knew had mechanical issues nor would we ever sell a vehicle to anyone with known issues. We have contacted our customer with a solution and he has notified our corporate office that he is happy with the decision. Consumer Response AgreedFinal Consumer Response

This company is reporting a collection account to [redacted] although they refuse to substantiate the debt.I discovered that this company was reporting a collection with account number XXXXXXXX on my [redacted] credit report and I disputed it. It came back "verified". I then sent the company a letter requesting documentation to substantiate what they are reporting to the bureaus per FCRA 623. They completely ignored my letter, which is a clear violation of FCRA.Desired SettlementImmediately remove the debt from my [redacted] credit report.Business Response On 2 different occasions this customer was contacted to go over the dispute she filed with credit bureau. The first time we were told she would call us back and the 2nd time she said she was at work and hung up the phone. If this customer would come in to our office, we would be happy to pull the file and go over the identification we have on file. We are hopeful that this customer would come in so we can take care of this situation for her. Consumer Response The CFPB requires your company as a data furnisher to comply with FDCPA, FCRA and other federal statutes. Note that section 1681s-2(b) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act creates a cause of action for a consumer against a furnisher of erroneous credit information ([redacted] v. [redacted] I am formally requesting that you validate all tradeline notations you have submitted to Equifax.Final Business Response We will mail the customer a copy of the contract that we have on file for her. If she is questioning the identity we will need her to come into the office so we can verify the picture photo we have on file for her. I am not sure if the customer is claiming identity theft or if she is claiming she paid the debt. We will be glad to go over her payment history with her as well.

Was told could only be approved for credit if I bought one of their repos at the Bristol, TN office by[redacted] who works at the Bristol Office. On 01/28 my husband inquired about a repo at the Bristol Branch. He was told[redacted] handles the repos and he would need to speak with him. I called to inquire about mileage and told[redacted] the repo was too high mileage for our needs. He encouraged me to discuss it with my husband. I called back to and spoke with [redacted] to run my credit for a loan for a lower mileage car at a dealership which was less money than the repo. [redacted] called me back and told me he could only get us approved to buy the repo from him. We didn't qualify to buy anything anywhere else. I think this was a ploy to turn over a repo that[redacted] was losing money on. Either you can loan to us or you can't. Desired SettlementI would like to know if we did in fact qualify for credit and if[redacted] actions are common policy at Northstate Acceptance. Business Response This customer was never actually approved for the purchase of a repo. She was told that our system was down and we had to check on the price of the car to see if we could get her approved. She was turned down for a retail purchase due to her credit. Her mortgage was currently past due and had been for a while. Her most recent credit other than the mortgage was a $1,000 high credit balance which was paid out but very slowly at a payment responsibility of only $105 per month. This credit history does not fall within our approval guidelines for a full retail purchase. We are willing to take a little more risk offering credit on repossessions that we sell because we are in a much better loan to value ratio than we would be if we financed her for a dealership retail purchase. We sell repos ourselves on occasion to bring a better price than the auction would bring to help lower deficiency balances. This brings the best possible amount for our previous customer and puts the new buyer in a better loan to value situation to help rebuild credit versus buying at a retail lot. At the same time it is a lower risk for us to take until this customer proves their ability to pay and then possibly be approved for a greater risk. The price is of course a concern for payment affordability, but just because a vehicle may be cheaper doesn't mean the customer or us is in a better loan to value situation. We are hopeful that this explanation brings some understanding and comfort to the applicant. It is our greatest desire to help people re-establish credit in a way that makes the most sense for both us and them.Consumer Response I did disclose on the application that my mortgage was one payment late and that was being taken care of on the Friday of the week I applied for credit. But I was told my credit was rum when I was offered the repo. I was never told the system was down. If the system was down how does the company know I have a $1000 high credit balance payable out at $105.00 a month? I didn't disclose that over the phone. That would mean that the company had to run my credit after the system came back up which was after I was denied credit which is not only unethical, it is illegal. The car I wished to purchase had 40.000 miles less than the repo, $2000 higher kelley blue book value and was less money. Where is the value to loan rationale in that explanation. Basically [redacted] didn't want to take the time to look at my credit or discuss anything with me. He just wanted to try to get rid of car that someone else didn't pay for. I had heard good things of this company, I am so disappointed. Final Business Response The manager did let the customer know that the system was down. The system being our personal loan manager system where he needed to see the price of the repo she originally inquired about. The credit bureau system was not down and so we were able to pull her credit. She did disclose on her application that her mortgage was currently behind but she did not note that it had been a financial struggle for her for the last several months and at times had been more than a month behind. This as well as other matters already noted in an earlier response put her in a status such that we could not approve her on a retail lot loan. We stopped the application process on the possible repossession purchase when she stated she no longer wanted that car.We are hopeful that this customer is able to find financing elsewhere and able to re-establish her credit.

Complaint[redacted] trespassed on and damaged my property. My address has no dealings this company.I have spoken with Mr [redacted] already and want you included on the details of my complaint. [redacted] the [redacted] branch manager showed up at my property located at [redacted] NC on 5-5-15 around 10 am to repo a car. First the car or loan has no dealing with my address nor anyone who resides here. I do not know how he got my address or how he knew the car would be here (which belong to a friend of my daughters) they were visiting. I have look over the loan papers myself and have included a copy showing the address on the loan which is not mine. What I do know about the loan was the car was purchase by [redacted] and [redacted] and they broke up and she took the car from his work and returned it to [redacted] Afterwords [redacted] returned to [redacted] and they remove [redacted] name without running [redacted] credit again and left the loan as is , which is not my concern. I'm sure my address came from her since Mr [redacted] states someone would have gave it to Mr [redacted] to come to my home. Mr [redacted] came to my house also the week before 4-27-15 due to he did not have the proper paper work on insurance which it had been a month since Mr [redacted] had the car, again not redoing the paper work properly for the loan, I have 4 private property and no trespassing signs posted at my home. Mr [redacted] never obtain permmisson to be on my property which he stayed parked in my driver and called a tow truck driver to take possession of the car. They caused damaged to my driveway which I paid $1300 for that extension to by done. I am also including pictures of the damage. To repair my driveway properly I will have to have sections removed by a professional concrete sawing company and have it re poured. I have contacted a contractor and attorney. I feel that I am being more than fair contacting you to to resolve the issue before it will be escalated. I would expect a timely resolve to my issue. I can be contacted at [redacted]. As Mr [redacted] so rudely laughed and state when I spoke to him today "your not getting $2000 easy money". I do not consider the money I work for easy and I paid to have my driveway extended, I would hope Mr [redacted] or anyone for that matter that works a full time job and pays for a home or anything they may choose to have does not feel there money comes easy and takes pride in the things they work for. I am asking for this to be made right since your employee choose to come to a property he had no permission to come on ( it is clearly posted private property no trespassing) and had other resources of contacting the note holder on the car (address and job location). Again I have no loan with your company and my address is not stated on any paper work held by your company. The estimate for repair is $1398.00.Desired Settlement A 8 x 10 section will need to be removed from my driveway and replaced. I have 2 estimated which I forwarded to the company $2700.00 and $1398.00.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email:[redacted]We have tried to work with this consumer over the claimed damages to her driveway. We have spoken with her both over the phone and corresponded with her through email. Our Chief Operating Officer requested to come access the damage and obtain our own estimates to which she denied us access to her property. We requested that she allow the tow company to come access the damage to which it was our understanding from the tow company that they were not allowed on her property as well. The tow company stated to us that the consumer informed them that we had already had someone at her house (at the time of repossession) and that we had requested he be able to come back to inspect the alleged damage and she didn't want anyone else coming to her property. We understood this as her not allowing the tow company or us to come access the damage. North State did not damage the driveway, however we hired a reputable tow company and if the tow company could access the damage and determine their fault we offered to the consumer to pay 1/2 of the repair. The tow company inspected the pictures and told us there is no way their truck made the damages. It is true the consumer complaining does not have a loan with us,however, the customer that does have a loan has listed her address as his own. We have certified mail sent to him that he signed for as well as insurance policies that he listed the same address as his residence back in March of 2015. When our manager went to the consumers home and asked to speak with our customer, he was retrieved by a young woman who answered the door. It was a peaceful visit and at no time was our manager ever asked to leave the property. Our customer removed his belongings from the vehicle and would have given us the keys if the consumer complaining hadn't taken them to work with her. This tow company has been in business since 1971 and the driver that picked up the vehicle has been driving for them for 19 years per the owner of the tow company. Prior to this complaint, only one [redacted] representative was eventually given permission by her to go onto her property and that was one who is 3+ hours away and would not be able to understand if the claimed damage could have been caused by the tow truck used.In closing, we would still be willing to pay 1/2 of the repairs if the tow company would be allowed to come and inspect the claimed damage as well as a representative of our choice and determine their possible fault. Consumer Response Ms [redacted] was invited to my home to inspect the damage and the tow company never ask nor were told they could not come to my property. The only person that she was told could not come to my property was the original person who trespassed on my property the day of the damage. My address was given by the customers ex girlfriend which was on the original loan. This person does not reside at my home nor receives any mail there. The young woman who answered my door does not own my property and when I was called I told here to ask them to leave and [redacted] had lock his self in the car with the window up! Yes the customer had visited my home that day and when I left for work I picked up there keys with mine off the table. [redacted] was also told he could retrieve them from my work that day. The tow truck company owner stated to me they could not say if there truck done damage because she was not there. She never once asked to come out to my property. She said she was not getting in a [redacted] match for a $65.00 tow job for a company she never had done business with. Again North State had no permission on my property and should repair the damage in full.Final Consumer Response I have yet to here from [redacted] or anyone on setting up a time. I can not continue to leave my driveway with the rain I am taking a chance of more damage from water getting under it and causing the foundation to wash away causing a larger area to be replaced. I have been more than patient it has been a month and 5 days since the damaged occurred. My contractor has been called in to see if anymore damaged has been caused and I will be forced to make a decision on how quickly the repairs need to be done to prevent further damage and any increased cost. Sent to Ms [redacted] via email today 6-10-15 11:33 amFinal Business Response We are responding as quickly to this complaint as we can. The wrecker company responded and I responded to the consumer the very next day asking that they two make plans together that is most convenient for them both. The consumer informed me that her email came back to her returned. I immediately responded with a phone number because I do not know why the email would have been returned. We are doing the best that we can to get a decision to the consumer.

Their payment acceptance policy and title issuance after payment. I even call the owner or head person and they never returned my calls. Every payment that was made was stated to make the regular payment and the rest to go to the principle. Every payment was done however they wanted too at the time. On a couple occasions they went back and retro back but I couldn't tell whether this helped or not. The last payment of $2765.61 was made brought it a $0 balance was paid on 7/13/2016 and as of today 8/25 title hasnt been received. I would like my title and interest owed returned.Desired SettlementRe calculate the interest and refund to me and title issued to me.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@northstateacceptance.comThis loan was paid out by Cashiers check on 7/13/2016. Cashiers checks may be stopped payment so we gave ample time for the cashiers check to clear and released the lien on the customer's ELT title 8/1/2016. DMV was given the address we have on file to forward the title. This loan was a pre-computed loan and all payments were properly applied to the balance. All interest was rebated as of the paid out date of 7/13/2016 that was due the customer. In closing, we appreciate our customer's business and hope that this answers any concerns or questions. None of here at corporate ever received any calls from the customer but he is welcomed to call us anytime and we will be glad to assist.Consumer Response Title hasn't been received as of yet and they have talked to me every month since I had the loadn and I would appreciate if they would be honest and correct the interest by applying the payments correctly and send my title. I also visited there office on 3 occasions. Final Business Response When a loan is pre-computed, it helps to make extra payments because the loan is paid out earlier. The earlier the account is paid out, the larger the interest refund. All payments were applied as of the date our customer paid them. There is no extra interest due. WE are not in control of the title be sent by DMV. This title is an electronic title. We released the lien and ordered a paper title be mailed to the customer at our last known address. We will contact DMV for him to see where the title is. Per our NCDMV record a title was mailed to him. I would enclose a copy of this, however, it would be a privacy violation. We did supply a copy to your [redacted] complaint. We still have not received any calls in corporate. You are welcome to call anytime or come to the branch and speak with our branch manager. He will be happy to further explain in person to help you understand your account.

their customer service is very crappy.they send people out to stalk you and send rude texts and lie about payments made and do not send receipts. We have been dealing with North State going on 3 years now. The [redacted] office workers are very rude and not customer friendly at all. They send people to stalk you at your home and work, they lie about payments being behind. .. they do not send out receipts when there are cash payments made and then they claimed that we were 4 months behind on our car payment when not even 2 months ago we were discussing a refinance and they said then that we were a month behind and so we went in and made that payment to be caught up.... but they have rude people text our phone threatening us and people parking in front of my parents house and watching it like they are the [redacted]..... I am so fed up in dealing with these uncaring people.... if I would have only read all of the online complaints we would have NEVER had this car financed through them.... I know for a fact that there have been at least 3 or 4 cash payments taken in there and put in the drop box after hours because of my work schedule. And we NEVER received a receipt for them just assuming that it was received and put towards our account..... I know that I am fed up beyond belief and so disgusted with these people.... it is so funny to me how they wait till 4 days before Christmas to start saying this crap..... Desired SettlementI want them to fix the payment problem and stop trying to repo a car that is being paid for... we have had a financial problem for a while, but they always got their money. .. maybe not the same time every month but they got it.... they should understand the struggling families in this world and stop being so cold hearted.... how the world can one person there tell you that you are up for refinancing and everything is fine only to get a text message saying you are 3 months behind.... and then send a tow truck out to repo the car and have the driver tell us we are 4 months behind.... something has got to give.... and I will go to whatever measures I have to... because this car is my transportation to work and for mine and my kids Dr appts...... Business Response We are truly sorry that this customer feels this way about our company. In an attempt to help people re-establish their credit, we finance people who have had credit issues in the past. It is necessary for us to keep communication with the customer to get an understanding of their intent and to get payments timely so they can re-establish a good credit rating. When we contact the customer they are already past due. As the customer expressed, she has had some financial difficulty. This has caused her to run at least a month behind since 2013 getting caught up once with a deferment. We do not have a record of any cash payment dropped in the night drop since early 2013. The cash payments we have posted this year which were very few were taken in person and given a receipt. This was a friend that came in for her. We feel we have helped this customer by offering 2 deferments meant to help her get caught up and by offering to refinance her account to give her extra time and lower her payments. She did come in to refinance but needed proof of income for her job. The customer did not come back for the refinance with the proof of job. We have no record of anyone telling her she was 4 months behind. She had just recently paid her Oct payment with a check we held for her until she stated we could post it on 11/28/14. On the 8th of December, the check came back to us returned insufficient. This was the last effort for a payment that we have received from this customer which now has put her 3 months behind for Oct, nov, and dec payments. The customer turned the vehicle in to us today. We would much rather her have the ability to repay the loan as agreed and keep her vehicle. Our COO has called her, however she never called back. He will be calling her again today. Consumer Response I know for a fact that there have been at least 2 or 3 cash payments put in the drop box within the last year...... as I stated before the rude and inconsiderate tow truck driver is the one who stated I was 4 months behind and then flat out called my parents a lie stating that he knew the [redacted] was in the garage... until they opened the garage and showed him. I would like to have a car to go back and forth to work and to take my kids to their Dr appts but all the lying and deceiving has got to stop. I have NEVER filed a deferment because they said I had to pay money to defer the payment and I had never heard of that before..... the point of deferring a payment is because you don't have the money to make the payment so how would you have money to pay a fee?????? And also the refinance deal, I was told that there was a month behind and so we paid that and did not hear anything from them..... I can not believe that all this had to happen at Christmas time especially and the reason why the car was returned is because I was tired of the stalking and rude text messages and phone calls..... and giving out my personal information to someone who is not authorized to be contacted. Thay in itself is breaking the law...... I think something could be done to fix this and if we had until tax time hopefully it would have been paid off so we could trade it in for a decent family car......Final Business Response We have only received one cash payment this year and that was in June. A friend paid it per the customers instruction and a receipt was given. A deferment charges the interest due and defers the principle due. If a customer is having a hardship it is our policy to allow one free deferment which we did in January of this year after she made her December 3rd payment on 1/31/14. This brought her account current for February at no charge. At no time have we tried to deceive or "lie" to any of our customers. We will be glad to furnish our customer a copy of her payment record so she can compare with her own records. We will also be glad to give a receipt for any payment that we have posted per her request. We will certainly redeem her voluntary repossession back to her if she pays the three months she is behind. We are hopeful that this is her desire and we do hope that this matter can be resolved.
