I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The form response does not satisfy the extra energy and mileage that I had to drive to a second store to purchase the needed parts.Additionally, there is a discrepancy on the refund For the purchase on 10/and return on 10/I was refunded the full amount of $70.39.However, for the purchase on 10/and return on 10/27, I was refunded the amount with a difference of -$ Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] Although you were kind enough to include your current warranty, that is not to say that that is the same wording as it was in 2013, my complaint is not so much about your policy now, although the wording on the online ad states that the brake pads that you list as limited lifetime, in actuality only have a day warranty, you would be better off purchasing the year warranted brake pads where you actually get a year, and they are cheaperMy main complaint is that in the past you did indeed replace them when they wore out, I had the receipt, and the warranty should have been honored, it was notThe good news for me, is that Advance is not the only auto parts store around, and seeing as I have older vehicles and will need plenty of parts for them, well I have other sources to get my parts, I know that will still honor the warranty as it was, and I'm sure they will be glad to get my businessOh, and by the way, I talked to your customer service, I know that the new policy only started months ago, so yes, my brake pads should have been replaced, but it's your loss

Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to address the complaint that Ms [redacted] has filedIt is important for us to hear from our customers and we will strive to meet your expectations The district manager over the store, ***, has spoken with the customer regarding her issue with her wiper motor*** advised the customer that when installing wiper blades it is not possible to damage the linkage or motor to the wiper*** also spoke with the store and [redacted] who both confirmed they did not mention to the customer the team member could have damaged the motor upon installationHe also explained the motor's are typically damaged when they are used during heavy snowstorm or when there is ice or frost on the windowDuring ***'s conversation with the customer, he stated, she became upset and began to raise her voice, not allowing him to continue the discussionStating she also used unprofessional language during their phone call which then prompted *** to end the callWe consider this matter resolved as the customer has been informed by both the district manager, as well as [redacted] , there is not a possibility we damaged the linkage or motor

Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to address the complaint from our customer Ms***It is important for us to hear from our customers as we strive to meet their expectations We have reviewed the information provided and would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customer We have researched the opportunity and were able to locate both orders that the customer referenced Order # [redacted] had an initial authorization hold for $ We were able to cancel the part that was placed for store pickup; however, we were unable to cancel the flex fan that was being shipped directly from the vendor We have manually released this authorization hold so the customer will receive this part for free The second Order # [redacted] was also a split order with one part being picked up in store and the other being shipped There was an initial authorization hold for the entire order amount of $ An authorization is only allowed to be captured against one time and we don’t charge before items shipOnce the customer picked up the repair manual at the store we settled for $ The system then re-authorizes for the difference between the settlement and initial authorization This process is normally seamless, however, the issuing bank is responsible for closing the authorizations after we settle on themOnce all authorization holds fall off, our customer will only be charged $total, which is the correct amount Due to the inconvenience caused to our customer, we would like to send a $gift as a goodwill gesture to the customer’s address on fileOnce accepted, we ask that our customer please allow 7-business days for processingThis gift card can be used in any of our store locations Our promise is to provide superior customer service and offer high quality products when you need themWe sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and if we can further assist you please let us know

Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to review the information from Mrs [redacted] - [redacted] This claim has already been investigated and reviewed with our 3rd party Insurance Company [redacted] Mrs [redacted] - [redacted] is a customer of a dealership where she purchased her vehicle, they are a Professional Customer of Advance Auto PartsThe accident occurred at/on the dealership’s premisesShe filed a claim for damages to her vehicle and it was subsequently denied by our claims examinerI’ve attached the letter that was sent to the dealership regarding the examiners findings after speaking with Mrs [redacted] - [redacted] , and Mrs [redacted] - [redacted] should have also received a similar letter from [redacted] Based on the information she provided to the examiner, our Insurance Company denied the claimDue to these findings, we are not able to assist further on this opportunityHowever Mrs [redacted] - [redacted] can file a claim with her auto insurance carrierIf her carrier determines there is any liability on our driver, they may decide to file a subrogation claim with [redacted] or resolve the matter through an arbitration forumThank you for the opportunity to share our original finds on this claim
